A shirt I wanted was out of the size I needed, so the sales associate talked me into having it ordered and shipped to the store. I never got a confirmation call, or email that it was ever ready for pick up. So I went to the store maybe 3 weeks later and they said I was s.o.l. literally, the the guy continues to say, ”well, you took too long to come pick it up, we can’t have it just sitting here talking up space, here’s a number you can call, but that’s all I can do”… So a little over $ 39.00 just gone, and nothing to show for. I never got the shirt, or the refund. Crappy store, rude and irresponsible associates.

I think Hot Topic is getting kind of old at this point…
When Hot Topic first came out it was such a big deal (OMG, it’s like a dark Gadzooks before it went lame with girl only clothing).
Now, it’s slowing transitioning into a pop store and less about what they were originally about (Is that a Justin Bieber shirt I see??)
BTW Hot Topic… I might like the movie that you’re selling the shirt of, but I don’t want to be a walking billboard either (Be more creative!!!)
It’s even hard to find something that I (or my girlfriend) would purchase anymore (ok… maybe I’d buy the Dead Kennedy’s shirt) so we normally just browse more then shop.
Anyhow, I hope Hot Topic can figure out a way to keep itself from going down the same path as Gadzooks while being able to embrace new business models like

or even
because I seem to find much cooler shirts at these websites then any Hot Topic store.
