The absolute worse service. Had 3 rooms reserved for 2 nights for a bachelorette party and they«lost» one of my reservations for 1 room 1 night. The tried to send part of my party to another hotel. Then they basically said Nevermind, we just had a cancellation(2 hrs later) and charged us for a room they said they would comp. the snooty front desk attendant was extremely rude went to a back office to «call her manager» and was laughing and giggling the entire 45 minutes she was in the office. Also the toilet was broken the phone is broken and shuttle only runs til 11 every hour. And the night lady just said she was calling the police if we didn’t get out of the pool in 5 minutes and have the GM escort us out because we wanted to go outside. Then proceeded to tell a guest that since we gave the girl a hard time at check in, because they lost out room, that she was going to give us a hard time. Update: got a knock on the door at 7 am with the front desk attendant from the night before, Victoria, and two police officers stating that we have to leave by noon. She was extremely rude, speaking over us. We then spoke to the real GM who was extremely apologetic and asked us to stay with ½ comped rooms. The GM was extremely polite and professional unlike her employees.

Holiday Inn Fossil Creek is… fine. It is what you would expect for the price, and it doesn’t fail in any grand way that deserves anything less than a 3-star rating. Customer service at the front desk is a little standoffish, but not rude. The rooms are reasonable, comfortable and clean. They have a somewhat rinky dink gym, a very small pool, a jacuzzi(that I didn’t have time to use, womp womp) and free interwebs. Gabriella A. mentions that the website states that complimentary breakfast is offered. This isn’t true. I only know this because I ran into a similar issue. Certain websites like Hotwire or Priceline makes a generic statement about complimentary breakfast being available and that happened with me because I used one of those sites when I booked the room, and it said that complimentary breakfast is included. Holiday Inn’s website on the other hand says they have an on-site restaurant, but the word complimentary is not adjacent or even near that statement. Having stayed at a few Holiday Inns now, I knew that the«complimentary breakfast» information on the hotel search sites was wrong. I don’t think Holiday Inn should be held accountable for something that they never said they were going to offer. Supposedly, kids under 12 get to eat free(it doesn’t specify how much they get to eat for free) according to Holiday Inn’s website… I’ll have to have a baby(not me personally) who grows up to become a precocious toddler, whom I will then take to a Holiday Inn to verify this. Look for a review update in 4 – 5 years. Really, everything about the place is reasonable. I paid in the neighborhood of $ 100(after tax) for a room with two queen-sized beds and that was one of the better deals to be had for a last minute booking in that part of town(that didn’t involve a shady looking motel). If you and(three of) your friends ever need a place to crash in between your gallivanting, it’s possible to walk away having spent only $ 25 a head(per night).

Like this hotel. Not much close to it other than a Cracker Barrel. But if you go less than 5 min north there is all kinds of shopping and dining options. Swimming pool currently closed on a warm day in tx.
