I used to live a few miles from here, but stayed here for 19 days straight when I was back in town for business. The hotel is great and I had no issues while staying. The king rooms were very large compared to normal rooms I stay in. Very clean and quiet hallways. The breakfast is your typical Express food. Nothing good but nothing bad. They have beer and wine at night for free, but they are working on getting their license so they can start selling. That’s about it. Typical hotel with nice rooms! Prime location for restaurants, but be ready for crazy traffic due to construction.

12:30 am, finally arrive at holiday inn express post-flight delay, icy road conditions, rental car shenanigan, you name it. i was dying to shower and go to sleep after a long day of traveling plus i had to wake up at 7 am the following morning for work, but nope. after the front desk issued me my room key, i proceeded to my room, inserted key, to find that the security latch was latched from the inside. yep. someone was already in the room. had to go back to the front desk to let them know that the door was latched on the inside and a guest was already in there. they apologized for the mix up and poor guy who was already in the room had to be woken up from a «courtesy call» because they had no idea which guest was in there. i guess it could’ve been worse. i could’ve walked into some unmentionable activities or turned the lights on sleeping guests. ’nuff said. i was one unhappy guest. oh, and the morning hot breakfast is the worse i’ve seen/eaten.

Well, I love the plethora of locations, but HIE branded hotels just tick me off for a few things. This location had easy internet and friendly staff… and even okay beds. But it was right on the freeway as so many hotels are and LOUDASHELL at night. Then there is the anemic showerheads they are actually proud enough of to brand. They are like standing under a leaky faucet. And the soaps smell like bad apple pie with cinnamon. I hate them. lol
