giving it 3 stars because food was not extra ordinary. I didn’t care for the queso because it quickly hardened and their guacamole was served on a plate so it was too hard to «dip». They even put the appetizer serving on a plate of shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes… Was I supposed to mix everything together? Idk. Ahahah I did like the atmosphere of this location. Very intimate and quiet even when busy. Chicken fajita was full of flavor, nice and moist. I personally think there are better places to go for the prices you’re paying here.

Absolutely love Gloria’s! Never disappoints. We stopped in for brunch on Easter day, which was actually our anniversary as well. The restaurant was full but we were seated immediately. We ordered queso which was, hands down THEBEST. I ordered an omelet with ham, cheese, onions, and peppers. The ingredients were so fresh and it was so yummy. My boyfriend ordered a breakfast burrito, it was delicious as well. The potatoes that came with the omelet have great flavor and the fruit that is served with the entrées are always fresh, juicy and sweet. The mimosas are nice although, I remember the time I came before this time, they were $ 1 each and this time they were $ 2 each, maybe because it was a holiday not sure. Still good though! Great atmosphere and friendly service.

One of my favorite happy hour spots! I love their margaritas and mojitos. The service is also great. I never have an empty glass or chip bowl.

Color me impressed. We were invited to a baby shower being held here. One, I’m not the biggest fan of this type of gathering, and two, well I thought it was«at a Mexican place» downtown. When I saw that Gloria’s is billed as «Latin cuisine», well I became hopeful for something different. I was not disappointed. Food rundown: For a starter I had the«Pupusas — A hand-made corn tortilla stuffed with cheese, pork or both.» Of course I went«both.» Very good. I would have this again. For my main I went with the«Asado de Puerco Salvatex — «Pork tenderloin grilled to tender perfection. Served with chile ancho sauce.» I’m a sucker for anything with chili in/on it, and if it’s chili on pork, it’s even better. Very good. Pork was very tender. Also on the menu are«Grilled Pork Tenderloin Fajitas.» I only know of one other place that does pork fajitas(Mercado Juarez), and they are some of my favorites. I made a mental note to give these a try next time. If quail, in this case Grilled Quail, is on the menu Thuy will order it. I’m not a big fan of «tiny chickens», but Thuy is. The flavor was good and Thuy did enjoy it. I had to try the«Spicy Pineapple Margarita.» It Reminded me of the concept of putting chili and salt on your fruit. It was very good, but next time I will ask for a little more of the chili, on the side. Bottom line: Love the Latin menu. Be sure to check out the brunch menu, as it may be a good weekend meal option. Disclaimer — This review has been sitting as a draft since 9÷18÷2013. Since the items I referenced are still on the menu, I’m going to post it. In fact getting this review posted reminds me, I really do need to get back to Gloria’s. There’s one in Colleyville that would work quite nicely( ).

Still waiting to be seated. The hostess told my girlfriend and I that it would be 20 –25 mins. Don’t be fooled folks waited over 40 minutes and still haven’t been seated. It sucks when you get lied to just for the business. And groups of large numbers are priority so if your less than 6 people do not come to this place.

I’m giving it a three because the service is excellent. My waiter made sure I had everything that I needed and I am very grateful for that. The chips and salsa were hot and fresh! The interior design is something that I can not explain though and I don’t really like the huge curtains. The food is better at on the border and it is simply OKAY.

My friends and I have frequently dined at Gloria’s for lunch, and the service is always the best. They are so welcoming and accommodating. They always start you off with chips, salsa, and bean dip. The salsa isn’t spicy, but you can request hot sauce. The bean dip comes out warm and creamy, delicious. The pupusas and tamales are my favorite! The margaritas are the best. They are made strongly, too.

Anniversary Dinner. My girlfriend and I took my parents here for lunch today just after their 48th anniversary. Have eaten here in the past and always great food. Restaurant was not full by any means — maybe 50% full. Service was at an extremely casual pace. About 20 minutes from getting drinks to taking order. Overall good experience, but one item bothers me. When the waitress delivered drink orders, one margarita fell over on her tray and went down my father’s back. She apologized and did send the manager over who did the same and offered to pay for cleaning of the shirt. It was a normal shirt that will be thrown in the washer, not something for dry cleaning. What really bothered me was when the check was delivered, not one thing was comp’d on the bill. You might think that drink or his meal removed — not at all. Was not impressed with the customer service.

Best frozen or rocks Margaritas are the best around. Pleasant outdoor seating. Fair prices and always consistently great food. Salmon Casteno is my favorite.

Great service and food. The pupusas(pork & cheese) were a great start to the beginning of a delicious meal. The carne asada(Salvadorian style) comes with yuca, rice, beans, and plantain. The meat is cooked to perfection… flavorful and tender. This spacious restaurant has out door seating as well. Their Mexican items/entrees are great tasting as well. I’ll be back!

I am still here as I write this review, because I felt the need to document this immediately. This is my girlfriend’s birthday dinner and we chose this restaurant based upon its reviews on Unilocal. First let me explain the evening. We walk in and ask for a table for two. The host walks past multiple tables and seats us in the back of the restaurant behind a giant pillar, very unappealing. They very promptly bring the salsa and a black bean dip out to the table with chips that are actually quite good. The salsa is fresh, and has a lot of flavor, but absolutely no spice whatsoever, I don’t believe there are and peppers even added. The bean dip is similar, decent but not anything to brag about. The waiter is here quickly and takes our drink orders, we ask for a salsa with a kick, he notifies us that the only thing they have is a sauce they serve with tacos and it’s not spicy either, and that they will have to charge us for it. I decline. We order, she gets chicken fajitas and I get the pork salvatex plate. He leaves and doesn’t see the empty drink cups, so we catch him walking by and notify him we need refills. The food comes out, plated well, but the fajitas are not sizzling by any means. My plate looks great. The fajitas were cold, and very bland. My pork tenderloin was grilled well, and served on top of an ancho chili sauce. It too was bland, the chicken enchilada verde was full of chicken… probably the biggest enchilada I’ve ever had. However, so bland it was a waste to call it tomatillo sauce. Rice and beans both seemed to be generic, from a bag/can. The tortillas weren’t even as good as the ones that are made fresh at rosas café. The service was average, drinks forgotten twice. He was courteous, and didn’t waste time which was good. But for the price, I won’t be returning. I’m very disappointed, and I’m not sure why so many people call this good Latin cuisine. I would recommend if you read this to go elsewhere unless you are a fan of bland food with no spice.

Awesome chips and dip, strong frozen margaritas, delicious chicken fajitas and a very relaxed environment. The waiter was very attentive(maybe a little too much). Id go back just for the tortilla chips alone. Great location near w 7th

Best chimichanga that has ever entered my mouth. No wait on a Wednesday evening and they bring out chips, salsa, and bean dip. We also got queso which was basically velveeta and rotel but it was still very good queso. Like I said in the beginning of this review, the chimichanga was the best chimichanga that has ever entered my mouth. I can’t stop thinking about that chimichanga… it was so good. I can’t wait to come back and get more of it. Rice and refried beans were basic but still good. Margarita was off da chain. Waitress was nice. Come here.

Great location, beautiful collection of stores and restaurants packed into a cube shaped building disguised like an office plex. Love the Christmas lights year — round. Attentive and kind staff, and of course great food. This is my new favorite Gloria’s.

This was one of my lunch choices with the group I was visiting in Ft. Worth. It was the perfect venue for a business lunch, lots of seating, good selections, and quick service. I had the tropical salad with shrimp and gobbled up every last bit of it. Delicious. My iced tea was kept refilled and I was even offered a refill to go. The location is gorgeous in the old Montgomery Ward building. I wish I had more time to explore the surrounds. Parking was ample so that was easy-peasy too.

Oh, Gloria’s. I love you! I discovered Gloria’s a couple of months ago and since have been back almost every single week. I’ve been once for lunch, once for dinner, and the rest of the times were for brunch. Everything I’ve tried here, I’ve loved. From the chips, salsa, and bean dip, to the fajitas. My absolute most favorite thing though, is Gloria’s Super Special. It’s a sample of several of their items, including a chicken tamale, a pupusa, fried yucca, fried plantains, rice, and beans. There’s also a tiny bit of a spicy coleslaw-esque stuff that comes with it too, that’s amazing! My fiancé has gotten the Carne Asada and other of their steak selections the times we’ve gone and each time, he’s loved them. They come with an amazing chimichuri sauce that I’ve tried and love so much that I now order it with my Super Special, just to dunk things in it! I’ve tried the margaritas and don’t have a complaint there, though I wasn’t really raving about them, either. Mimosas are $ 1 during Sunday brunch, if you’re ordering food off either the brunch or regular menu. That’s right. ONE. DOLLAR. I’m not really sure at this point if they have a limit. I may or may not have gotten up to six mimosas on a recent visit and I have a feeling they would’ve kept coming had I requested it. Service has always been great and the food is usually out quickly, regardless of how busy it is. The only negative is that sometimes they are PACKED and you’ll have to wait a bit. They also seem to be a little optimistic on wait times. We were quoted a 20 minute wait one recent weekend and ended up waiting almost an hour.(This may or may not have been the day the six mimosas were had.) Side note: if you DO have to wait during brunch, you can go to the bar and get the $ 1 mimosas there. They don’t really ask if you’re going to be eating anything. Please don’t ever stop the $ 1 mimosas, Gloria’s. Please.

I love Gloria’s! First time eating here was at the Arlington location. Then, I discovered there was one even closer to me! I love that they give you a black bean dip. Dip the beans, dip the queso, and then salsa! Your taste buds will thank you. I have gotten the Carne Asada just about every time. I need to explore the rest of the menu, but I just can’t stray from the Carne Asada. A very big piece of steak with chimichurri sauce on top. It comes with plantains and rice. I love their black beans and can’t get enough, so I 86 the rice and get black beans. It’s soooo good. I can’t wait to go back!

I came here the other night with some colleagues for dinner. What I liked about the place is that it did not have any goofy Tex-Mex cliché decorations, it was casual and almost had an upscale feel. We were seated right away and we were brought a huge basket of chips and salsa. We also got guacamole as well. We ordered a few margaritas and they were very tasty. I ordered chicken fajitas and really liked my meal. The chicken was tender and the fajita accessories were very good as well. My only complaint was that the cheese was very generic shredded cheese. Another thing about this place is that the portions are pretty large. The service was pretty good, too. Our server was friendly and was always accessible.
