We recently had our reception at the museum and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! First off, the space is absolutely amazing and is so unique. It has a very colorful and modern-look, which totally fit our personality as a couple. The venue also has a really neat courtyard, which is a nice addition. The size of the space is excellent for medium to large weddings and seems to be pretty flexible, based on whatever you need. The catering manager, Camille, was so wonderful to us and really was the main reason our reception ran smoothly. She was always quick to respond to emails throughout our wedding-planning process and was very attentive to all of our questions and concerns. What we loved about Camille from the moment we met her at our initial meeting was that she was easygoing and flexible — she made us feel very comfortable and was willing to work with us and our specific requests for our reception. She went above and beyond to fulfill our requests(from being flexible with seating arrangements to requesting a specific beer from another city, per the groom’s special request to working with our vendors to make their set-up as easy as possible). What is so unique about this venue is that the catering manager essentially serves as a «coordinator» for the reception. Since our ceremony was off-site and had a built-in coordinator there, we had no need to hire a day-of wedding coordinator and everything ran super smoothly. Our guests raved about the food and the bar selection and we feel like we really got a lot of food/alcohol for our money. No complaints there! Although I didn’t eat much the night of our wedding(pretty typical, I guess) the food at the tasting was very good. We went with the heavy h’ors doeuvres package and were very pleased with all of the food offerings. It was plenty for our guests! The waitstaff was wonderful as well and very helpful. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and made our night special. We really couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I highly recommend this location for a wedding reception.

Although it is the smallest science museum I’ve been to, the FW Museum of Science and history is a charming place with interesting and diverse exhibitions. It is very well maintained, and the staff/volunteers were extremely friendly and helpful. It is true that big part of the exhibitions are targeting the young ages, but there’s enough for the early teenager to find interesting, for a couple of hours and it won’t heart them to try it instead of another movie, or amusement park for a change. I didn’t care about the drilling company exhibition, we just skipped it. We saw many parents with their preschoolers, some told us they can spend a whole day in the museum with their kids exploring and playing, during a rainy or hot day. The titanic exhibition was small for the price, but nicely done and we enjoyed it. The museum’s gift store is a pleasure to explore as well. I’m giving it a four star rate with a note regarding it’s being suitable mainly for young kids unless you’re coming for a special exhibition/movie.
