Not much to complain about. Really good meal for the four of us. We had Salmon with salad, blackened redfish, and shrimp with grits. We all enjoyed the meal, and got to visit with the owner. They are trying hard to elevate the lake experience. I wish them well.

First time we went there was awful maybe the worse service I have ever experienced in a restaurant but we gave it the benifit of the doubt as is was new and opening week. We decided to return to at least give it another try 3 months later… and the result was no different this place is very poorly managed no greet at the door so we decided to sit in the bar area in a 20 min span we were ignored by every staff member not even a hello and the manager or GM walked passed us 4 times within arm reach and no acknowledgement that we were ever there… then after 20min with no offer of anything even an hello the waitress then said you cant eat in the bar our kitchen is backed up .we then walked out and we will not give it a third try

I just tried to have dinner with twin brother but experience was not a good one. Great view though. We were sat without silverware, asked what soup of the day and server didn’t know so would check. My brother ordered oysters and they came out before drinks and they had no horseradish. Server still forgot to check for soup and forgot my water with my beer. The kitchen didn’t do a quality check and send out oysters with one missing only had the shell. Overall not a good visit for our first time being at the establishment and I was in service industry for 10 years so takes a lot for me to write bad review.

Great place. Used to come when it was Harbor one then The Spot. This by far is the best it’s ever been. It totally renovated, great food, live entertainment and a cigar lounge. Got a tour of the new beer garden and upper deck going in this spring overlooking the lake. Definitely coming back soon.

Last night was my 2nd time there since the change over to Flight. We went because of the Mardi Gras ad they posted on Facebook. I was slightly disappointed and was expecting a much more upbeat experience. It definitely was not Mardi Gras like… and the crawfish we started with were just ok… not enough flavor, small and a few nasty ones in my bowl seemed to have been dead for quite a while before boiled. In their defense I am kinda a crawfish snob and am pretty picky about my mudbugs. I still give Flight 5 stars though because all the other food we have had on both visits was exceptional! We placed our order when I noticed the flight on the menu. If I hadn’t noticed the tiny box buried in the menu and asked about it before our waiter walked away we would have missed out on a great dining opportunity. Seriously, all the waitstaff should start with«do you know about our dinner flight?» It’s a great deal. We cancelled our order and decided to share the flight instead. We choose the BBQ shrimp, pork chop, rabbit and flat iron steak.(On the flight you can pick as many entrées as you want, you get a smaller version and it is priced accordingly) all for $ 38. GREATDEAL! All of which was amazing! I was sceptical on the shrimp and grits cause most places don’t nail new Orleans stayed grits but they were perfect! We would order everything we got on the flight again! It was perfection. We ended with the chocolate cake and it didn’t let us down! Practically lucked the plate. The owner was super nice and talked to us for a while. Our server was great! Our only complaint was that the wait time for dessert and for the check was a little longer than expected. We did notice a few house keeping things that needs to worked out in this new restaurant… servers really need to use trays. Saw a waitress with stacked plates on her arm that was spilling the sauce all over the floor and didn’t notice that her hair was in one of the plates. Overall, we left happy and will be returning! The owner talked about some upcoming events when it warms up and hoping that if we return then it will be a little more of a younger upbeat crowd so we feel comfortable staying after dinner for drinks.

This is my third trip. The first time was in the summer. We arrived in our boat, parked in a slip and enjoyed the patio. Food(burgers) was good but the band overpowered any conversation. The band’s fault, not the restaurant. The second time I met a friend for a quick bite and girl talk. It was a week night and the place was bare. We sat in the bar area and the bartender was our waiter as well. Good service. I had a salad that was fresh and the avocado croutons are amazing. Today we went for brunch and sat on the patio to enjoy a 70 degree day in January. The service was great. The pancakes were fluffy and the omelets were tasty. Looking forward to a good Bloody Mary and we were both impressed. Went to order another and was told that they had run out of mix. I fault that to the bartender for not being aware of his bar and inventory. Not pleased and hope that next time I can order two. We look forward to more visits and to visiting the cigar lounge one time soon.

Great experience. Amazing Service. Incredible menu. Wonderful Ambiance. If you have not yet been out the this new gem of a restaurant at Eagle Mountain Lake, I urge you to get there soon. We arrived about 5:30 pm on Saturday night and were immediately seated and wonderfully attended to by our server Sean. The Bar and drink menu is stocked with lots of local flavor and has a plethora of beers. After a couple of drinks we ordered our food and Sean did a great job of making suggestions from the eclectic, innovative menu. I ordered the wedge salad and the bone-in pork chops. I substituted the standard mashed potatoes with the side mac and cheese. My wife ordered the meatloaf and we also ordered the barbecue shrimp appetizer. The appetizer arrived in a miniature cast iron pan and was tender, perfectly cooked and delicious. The dressing on my wedge salad is a Sriracha Blue cheese aioli that was tangy and perfectly light. It was well presented on a rectangular plate. The smoked pork chop s were tender, juicy and had a wonderful, slightly sweet drizzle. My wife’s meatloaf was according to her, one of the best she had ever had. If you are not familiar of the location of this restaurant, it is the location of The Spot that used to be a pretty popular, but total dive bar. The new ownership has done an incredible job redoing the place. It feels high-end yet not pretentious at all. There is also a cigar bar upstairs that has the feel of a homey mountain lodge. The prices, while not cheap are very competitive with any fine dining restaurants in the area. Go seek out this local gem. You will not regret it.

New Year’s Eve dinner offering was spectacular. Lobster Corn Chowder, Spinach Salad, Lobster/Chicken Fried Steak(with Champagne gravy) and Tres Leche(sp?) Cheesecake. We normally are a member of the Sunday morning brunch bunch… but decided that New Year’s Eve offerings looked too good to pass up(and we were right!). Last weekend, we even took advantage of meeting some friends upstairs in the Cigar lounge(stairway hidden behind a bookcase) and had a great time. We will continue to enjoy the offerings up at the Flight!

I had dinner here last night(11÷28÷15) and had an awful experience. The service was attentive and spot-on, but the food was inedible. I started with Gumbo that had been over reduced to the consistency of gravy and served over undercooked rice. The rice was crunchy and made the whole dish grainy and tough to swallow. I pushed it aside after a couple of bites. Then I got their flight, which is an option to order one dish from each of the four menu sections and get a smaller portion of each, like a DIY tasting menu. I got BBQ shrimp and grits, which were served over cold, unseasoned grits. The shrimp were ok. Next was airline chicken and mushrooms. Like the gumbo, it seemed like the sauce had been over reduced and was very very salty and i love salty foods. This was inedible. Buffalo shepherds pie was next. This was like a dry hunk of buffalo meat loaf, topped with mashed potatoes. There were no peas, no carrots, nothing else, really. The sauce was supposed to be a beef Demi, but THIS sauce wasn’t reduced enough and was more of a stock than a sauce. Lastly, I had prime rib. I am being generous when I say this was wee done. It was essentially prime rib jerky. Totally inedible. The only thing that I finished from the entire menu was a side of asparagus. I can’t imagine going back. I’ll post a picture of the food.

It was our first time here and we will be back! The service was good even though they were a little short staffed. Still attentive and pleasant. The food was AMAZING and the prices were reasonable. We went for brunch on Sunday and ate off their brunch menu. I had the bananas foster French toast with a side of sausage(two patties) It was huge and delicious. The fam had a made to order omelette, chicken fry and eggs, and pancakes. The pancakes were super good. Mimosas, coffee and chocolate milk fished us off. We will be back for sure to check out their full menu!
