Worst place ever! Usually i don’t mind some grease on my tacos b/c it’s just normal for them to have it but these where soaking in grease it was disgusting, they literally made me sick and i have a strong stomach, maybe i didn’t order the right thing or maybe they weren’t having a good day, but i will never go back.

Ordered the taco plate. It comes with three tacos, rice and beans for $ 5.95. I requested some red taco sauce. I can’t believe that they charged me extra for this. Total with tax was $ 7.04. I had a pastor, a asada and a carnitas taco. The asada and pastor were just ok. The carnitas was really good. The rice and beans were good also.

Mmmm. drunk food… Cash only. I really don’t know the hours, just that they are open at least till 3 am on party nights. Unilocal Queen Lauren and I somehow made it here after a night of schmoozing and boozing and I am eternally grateful for the intro. This place is legit– chopping block and all. The food is authentic and just what you need to soak up any libations. The parking lot is horrendous– or maybe my equilibrium is off every time I’m there? Its spacious enough, just full of craters and people that suck at parking. The line weaves all over– expect to wait– its worth it. its set up cafeteria style– there is a small basic order board that doesn’t have everything available– don’t be shy and ask the meat guy with the cleaver what they have. I also suggest the carnitas and the barbacoa if its available. They had cochinita pibil once when I was there– but it might have been a special occasion as I haven’t seen it since. you just tell them what meat you want and in what form and they do their thing. The meat is slapped on the chopping board and hacked to perfection– I like when the meat is tender and bite size. then its loaded with all the toppings and you pay at the end. I love the burritos here even though I don’t normally eat them. They stuff them with rice, beans, cheese, onions, choice of meat, and salsa. I always ask for extra green salsa– trust me. I’ve taken tacos to go and eaten them as soon as I got home– just as good 30 minutes later. This place is hood– don’t go in expecting to get 5 star service– get your food, put it in your mouth and leave happy.

If you like Benito’s on W. Magnolia, you will like Ernesto’s! Same owner, and alot of the same ingredients just in a taqueria.

Dive place, but good food. Barbacoa is a bit greasy, but I prefer their other tacos like the guisado de rez or the picadillo.

Late night after night at the bar, pro– they were open and had decent tacos. Long line but short wait. Con-as I said tacos were decent not as good as other spots that weren’t as convenient.

This is the worst restaurant my family and I have EVER been to. I mean we come from Mexico and this wasn’t even close to the food over there! My family and I, we aren’t picky eaters but when we came to this restaurant we had to THROWTHEFOODAWAY!!! I put one star, but that’s just because I have to in order to make this comment, In my opinion this place deserves –5 stars that’s how good it was I don’t know what people were thinking when they said this place was good it is DISGUSTING!

First time here after a night on the town. Great tacos and they are quick. If you have a craving for authentic tacos and drinks at pretty much any time of day or late at night after drinks and you are in the area this is the place to go.

I will say this place has good tacos, menudo, burritos and good prices, the only thing that is very disappointment is that the rice and beans are TERRIBLE!!! Beans with no taste at all and the rice is so dry(probably from a day before) that I always eat just the tacos and leave the rest in the plate.

Ummmmmmm just okay tacos. This is just my reminder that I probably won’t return here. As a junkie taco eater, I didn’t care for the pastor tacos.

Long overdue on writing this review. Ernesto’s. OH Ernesto’s. This is the best place to get authentic, cheap and fast mexican food in funky town. The owner is so nice. The staff is always friendly and don’t laugh too much at my spanglish :) A few of my favorite things from here are the carnitas — usually I get that in a burrito– with beans, cheese and lots of green sauce. It’s huge. Like Chipotle huge and way more than enough for one person. The machacado is good too. Also in burrito form– shredded beef mixed with eggs and slapped in a tortilla with beans and cheese and more of that delicious green sauce. Tripas tacos are great and the guisado is spicy and rich. They open at 7 am and stay open till 3 am on weekends. Late night taco cravings are satisfied here. Just a tip– the later in the day the spicier the house green sauce. By the evening it’s teary, nose running hot. So good! Cash only!!!

This is a great Mexican comfort food taqueria — best in Fort Worth IMO. It’s not fancy, but taqueria’s don’t need to be… — ridiculously cheap — really, really good — really authentic(I like being the only one in the mexican restaurant who isn’t speaking spanish) — really friendly staff When you walk in there are smiling faces, cheery mexican music, and huge pots of deliciousness simmering away on the stove while someone rolls jalapenos around on the grill. Awesome.

The barbacoa tacos are messy, lip-smacking, four-napkin perfection. This is the closest thing I have found to a real Mexican taqueria in Fort Worth. Our whole office orders from here at least once a week.
