I just left this location and I won’t be back. I placed an order online so I wouldn’t have to wait when I arrived. When I got to the counter I informed the lady I had an online order. Her coworker overhears and told her that it was in their warmer. She proceeds to get my order and then she sits it behind their counter and takes a drive thru order. She tells the person she can’t hear them and to order at the window and she walks away. Meanwhile her other coworker is preparing my sides that should have been prepared with the rest of the food, but I digress. While waiting she asks me if I’d like onions and pickles with my order and I say yes. Her coworker is looking for something to put the onion ring type side in that I ordered. She asks someone who can’t be seen, then walks in their direction. She comes back out after about 2 minutes and she notices her coworker attempting to do something to the food. She then yells at her and tells her someone along the lines of «I can do my job.» Anywho, after that exchange I finally got my food. I get home and the onions and pickles aren’t there. The ribs are tiny and very dry. Barely edible they’re so dry. If I felt like going back I’d ask for a refund. Given their behavior when you make a purchase I can only imagine how terrible it’d be for a return. The location on Hulen is so much better. The food and the people. This location has turned me off from Dickeys altogether.

I had to make the staff aware I was there. Even though they seen me walk in. I ordered a baked potato, even tho the receipt said bacon. She told me no bacon. All the appliances are covered with dirty tin foil. She took my credit card to another computer and threw a piece of paper away. Will be checking my bank account. And left during my order to clock another employee out by entering in his number he gave her. She was really pissed off that I was there. Do not recommend.

I ordered the spicy sausage and they game me regular. I did not care for it. Out of all sides we wanted to order. 2 meat portion was very small for the price you pay. Get some filling sides! If they have some.

Painfully slow on a to go order. Out of ribs, out of chips, out of sweet sauce, out of business. Should have looked at the Unilocal ratings first.

A drive through is designed for ‘get it and go’ service. We have tried to visit them multiple times, different days of the week and different times… TERRIBLY slow! We live 1 exit away, and we could get ALL the way to the Dickeys on Precinct Line — and BACK — in the time it takes to order and get your food at this one. …DRIVETOANYOTHERDICKEYSTHANTHISONE!

this could SO be a 5 star barbecue if it got its brisket together. I wanted to hate it. it took forever to order & almost as long to get our food(to go). OSHA would shut this place down on the inadequate ventilation(the air purifier in the tiny dining area should be a clue). the girl at the register was sweet but overwhelmed. the girl at the drive-thru window couldn’t move much slower. no one to clean the dining room. they were just too busy with one on the register, one at the window, one on the meat & one on the pit & a steady stream of customers. the food… oh, the glorius food! great beans & slaw. sweet roll. got the 3 meat with ham, pork & brisket. enough leftover for a second meal. smoky. tender juicy. lean. lavorful. management needs to get it together to make this place run a lot smoother in order for this place to succeed. I hope it succeeds. it’s a great addition to the neighborhood.

My experiences here have been very similar to Kyle P.‘s, which is a total shame because I really wanted this business to do well and stay in the neighborhood. Service is always BEYOND slow here(which is really strange considering all they are doing is cutting up already cooked meats and serving already prepared sides with the exception of the few fried items) and I mean like 20 minutes to get to go food through the drive thru — Once even longer! There is only one woman that works the window that seems to have a clue — all the rest of the order takers(including the manager and his wife) get it wrong and even overcharged me on my last visit. Every time I have tried to order turkey they have been out. Even in the middle of the day. Twice my roll hasn’t been included, and the onion twisters were so laden with grease I had to throw them away.(And this place ain’t cheap!) The last time I came here the manager actually got on the to go order intercom and was telling me things would be taking a long time today because his staff of young people went out and partied the night before and didn’t show up to work! First of all, that’s not my problem, and second of all WHOTELLSTHECUSTOMERS things like that??? He took my order and told me to wait for my total. 15 minutes later I was still waiting, so started honking. He finally got back on the intercom and asked me for my order all over again!!! Seriously??? That was my last visit to this location, and I will NEVER, EVER be back. Not that I think they will be around for much longer anyway with the poor service and extremely long wait times for food! Get it together — sheesh!

The Eastside is so overlooked and there are many nice homes and professional people living in this area. I love Dickey’s and was so excited when this little takeout place opened up. We ordered food 3 – 4 times. The first time we went they had just opened and it took a while but they were just getting going. The last time prior to today, I got my favorite, the baker potato with chopped beef. The seemed to be having a problem with the order and it took a while for the order to get ready. I didn’t look at it till I got home. It looked like they had trimmed the fat off of a couple of briskets and slapped it on a potato. I’m not exaggerating, there was about 2 teaspoons of beef and big gobs of the fat. Not fatty meat, just fat. My husband’s sandwich was fine. Today about 3:30 we got two bakers with chopped beef. We wanted one without chives or onions or whatever they put on. The young person in the drive through did not know what chives are so we translated it to onions for her. Then we ordered 1 pound of chopped beef, listed right on the menu. She shouted to someone, «How do I price a pound of beef»? I’m sure she was in training, but hey, I’d think a requirement for working the window would at least to have nodding knowledge of the posted menu. She finally said to drive forward. Then she and I guess the manager came to ask again about what we ordered. I can see where 3 items straight off the menu would be confusing.(Sarcasm) Again it took over 10 minutes to get our order ready. I checked everything before we left. It was all delicious but is it asking too much to have the staff not put a rank newbie on the window? Fortunately there was no one behind us. Maybe the others have had the same experience. I really hope they get it together at this location. We love having Dickey’s here.

I wish I had known what«hot pit» means. Just in case you thought it was hot as is temperature oh noooooo no no my friends it means hot like spicy!!! I do not eat hot ANYTHING absolutely nothing hot, spicy, not even mild. So the fact that I wasn’t warned on the menus… You can imagine how upset I was when I spent $ 15 on ONE meal. My attitude is about as hot as this wasted meal. Thank you Dickies I am officially the most attractive dungeon dragon

So glad this location opened up. Good brisket and chopped beef. I hate to say it but I like it better than my neighborhood BBQ shack. If you are getting fit to go, you can purchase it by the pound or half pound. A pound with sides or made into tacos can feed a family of four. Three and a half to four stars when comparing with other fast food chains. Don’t expect Lockhart level BBQ from a neighborhood drive through window.
