Cook Children’s Pediatrics – West Lancaster

had to bring my 17 year old son here last night after he had an accident with his foot. I am used to have to wait in Cooks ER… specially this time of year with the flu going around. But last night was aweful! I would assume like any ER they triage and patients with more serious illness and injury are seen first. Given the fact my son could barely walk and his foot was so swollen I expected to get in to see the DR fairly quickly! Nothing could have been farther from the truth! He was seen in triage fairly quickly and in about an hour they came to get him for an xray. But after 3 more hours we had still not been called back. And neither had any other patients in the waiting area were were in!!! Needless to say I left and will take him to Harris or Baylor from now on!

The only place I will ever take my children for anything serious. This place is absolutely at the top of their game in care, research, attentiveness, compassion. I don’t have enough good words to use, and am forever grateful. Every single staff member has been professional and kind every time I have had to go (thankfully not all that often), as my son has a rare form of migraine. Thank you!

The boys and I were in a car accident, and they took great care of us. This was the only place I would want to go if it ever happens again, I pray it won’t !!
