Service is indifferent and slow. The food is meh for a price that asks for more. The fries were soggy, the burger was dry. The bangers and mash had pasty mashed potatoes. Have tried it a few times in hopes a better experience given the hype, but yet to enjoy it.

Great ambiance terrible food and coffee. This seems to be a trend in Fort Worth. Aesthetically places can be amazing, but not enough love and attention is put into the food and drink. I’m a foodie from Los Angeles and am very passionate about food that has been made with love. This place doesn’t cut it! Things are just a little bit off — coffee is not flavorful and is not always hot when served, I had the pork chop with sweet potatoe purée, the chop was cooked right, but the rest of the plate lacked flavor, which made the whole experience pretty anti-climactic. So I enjoyed it, but again just not cutting it, it is mediocre.

Delicious! The Décor, the atmosphere and don’t forget the food is pretty scrumptious. It reminds me of a brunch spot in SF, which is a major compliment and helps me get my fix when I am homesick. The dishes I always seem to get: –Fried Egg Sandwich –Biscuits with a side of Honey butter –Eggs Benedict –Chicken and Waffle The Fried egg sandwich is my favorite. flavorful and large portions. I think it’s one of the best brunch spots in town. Great for groups, a girls brunch or for you and your significant other.

The wait was about an hour on a Saturday afternoon for brunch(around 1 p.m.), but we spent the time wandering around the neighborhood, so it wasn’t a total loss. Five star dishes: +ricotta fritters with apple caramel sauce +eggs benedict +biscuits and gravy(extra points for how comparatively cheap they were) Four star dishes: +chicken biscuit sandwich(soft and homemade biscuit and tender chicken, but just needs… something to pull it together. Maybe honey or maple syrup or even some kind of spicy chipotle sauce??) +chicken and waffles(delicious, but still somehow the waffle seemed lackluster and generic. For the price, I wanted my mind to be blown and it wasn’t). Atmosphere: hipster x10. Service: great. I will definitely return.

After being here 3 times, and each time we would stay for almost 2hours or more, it’s only the right thing for me to review them now ;). Conveniently located near bunch of restaurants(I don’t hang out in Fort Worth much to know what the area is called lol, Medical District?), the main reason for us to come here each time, to get something sweet after our dinner, plus they stay open the latest compares to all the other coffee shops in the area. They have very decent parking area. Their restaurant/shop is extremely spacious with bar area, regular dining area, semi private area for small groups, nice outdoor seating with bonfires, and our favorite-the cozy couch in front of the fire place inside. It’s a full service place, so wait to be seated, then someone would come and take your order, unless you want something to go. We have only gotten the coffee and some desserts from here, haven’t tried any of their food yet. Their coffees are strong and full of flavor. Their service is even better. Our servers always have a smile on their face, attentive but not overwhelming. We usually stay until they close and still, with such friendly attitude, they don’t make us feel bad about being part of the last customers to leave lol. it’s definitely our go to place to grab some coffee, small desserts after our dinner, and especially to just sit, talk, and have some quality time together :).

My girlfriends and I went here for breakfast on Saturday. I’m writing my second review on Brewed because our experience was a pretty rough one. First I would like to start off my saying I do not believe in anyway was this experience any reflection of our waiter. He was running his caboose off, taking care of seven tables, I believe it was(?) on the patio, by himself, all of which had 4+ people. My first question is where in the world is the manager who should be checking on this poor fellow?! Actually that isn’t my first question… let me start at the beginning. We walked in to a bustling restaurant at 9:15 on Saturday, off Magnolia. YOU know its going to be busy, I know its going to be busy, my GRANDMOTHER who refuses to use an iphone knows its going to be busy! But I guess Brewed didn’t know this because they had one hostess and what looked to be a manager, who was on the phone and seating the line of people. We weren’t really even greeted i’d say for a good five minutes until after we stood around. Patio wasn’t full at the time of arrival but filled up immediately after us. Cue the poor waiter(I guess I found the manager I referred to earlier who should’ve been helping –at the hostess stand?) Waiter service was pretty darn good for how many people he was taking care of. Forty minute wait for our Bloody Marys and an hour wait for food. Holy Moly. The drinks were cold/not watered down and the food was hot, so my guess is that every thing was just backed up? Look, I never mind waiting my turn when things are working and running smoothly, or when I know Mr. Waiter is running his butt off –I even tipped him extra! But for a restaurant with a reputation like Brewed, I was really disappointed in the business management, when you KNOW what a Saturday atmosphere is like. Two hostesses and two waiters on the patio would have been helpful to your other employees at the least!

We haven’t been here in almost a year, and it is just as good as I remembered it! We started off with a delicious candy bar latte(vanilla and caramel) and a peach tea. I had the biscuit and gravy with fruit bowl(which was better than I remembered!)and my boyfriend had the Eat Your Veggies skillet with flour and corn tortillas. His was served in a tiny cast iron skillet, a neat rustic touch. While we are both full, we are shamelessly contemplating dessert… s’mores in a jar I need to mention that we came at 10:45am on Friday, and they were not super busy or overcrowded. Our waiter was wonderful, very friendly, and filled our water glasses without being asked and suggested the s’mores in a jar for dessert. If you haven’t dined Brewed, you are missing out.

This was my second time visiting Brewed, the first being a few years ago. I remember it being a little heavy handed with the kitsch décor, but majorly on point with the food and beverage game. Fast forward to today and this brick & mortar Pinterest board looked just like I remembered, but did not taste the same. First, I’ve got to say that a waffle & a chicken biscuit should not have taken an hour from ordering to arriving at our table. I know this because when the wrong dish arrived in front of me, it literally took them under 5 minutes to get the right one in front of me. Second, a round of mimosas is not a good consolation prize for the wait; please be considerate of your guests and ask if there’s anything they would like as opposed to just putting a booze bandaid on slow service! Finally, our waiter told us 4 – 5 times that he was bringing water to us without us ever mentioning it, then still failed to deliver on the water during our time there, all the while refilling the water multiple times at the table next us. The banana bacon waffle was good, but not worth that long of a wait, and the chicken biscuit was next level dry.

Atmosphere alone makes me want to comeback soon. I love the fact of serving great coffee, good beers and wine on taps all in under one roof. It was a perfect stop that afternoon for me and my bf. We were visiting the area and I had a craving for some good coffee while my bf didn’t want any. He was nice enough to let us both check out the place so I can have my brew and it was really great to find out that he can wait for me while having a beer. This will definitely a place I’ll keep in mind to just sit down and enjoy a great sip of whatever you feel like at that moment.

Found this spot on a drive from Arlington to Austin. Tucked away a little off the beaten path. We were on a hunt for some Java for the road. We had some trouble finding the place from the directions on maps from Unilocal.Parking is in the back and then you make your way past a couple doors to the front. Greeted by some young college hippie kids. Fun and eclectic! We decided to grab some breakfast to go along with our coffees. Table for two had a wait. Asked for my # and texted when our table was ready. Fun atmosphere. Lots of locals. Lots of college kids. I believe our server was Dean. Fresh water at the table for you to pour. My mocha cappuccino was yummy and my husband liked his regular house coffee. Brewed in Dallas I believe… Breakfast/brunch menu is definitely not vegetarian friendly. When I asked about another menu I was told that was it and I was right… They did not cater to us weird vegetarians. Ordered the egg white omelet. It was open face and very small. Hubby had the waffles and Berries and subbed the bacon for eggs. All was swell… I looked at the bill and noticed they charged 50cents for a squirt of sweetener my husband asked for in his coffee… When you’re paying almost $ 5 a cup, that should be complimentary… $ 40 Java/Breakfast stop. Not my thing typically for just me and the hubs on a regular day… Maybe on vacation… I like to spend my dinero on dinner and fun lunches with a view of a beach. Everyone was nice and kind and the place was clean and hip. We won’t be back simply because we don’t live in the area. Seems like a fun cozy hang out for college kids to spend their parent hard earned cash instead of eating on campus for half the price… Definitely better than hitting up a Starbucks!

Stopped by this place for a quick coffee in the patio. From some of the reviews, this looked like a cool coffee house that also served food. Definitely more on the restaurant side though. We were arrived around 12 and there was a 40 minute wait for a table. The breakfast looked pretty good but we just wanted some café au lait. We were told we could order at the bar but not sit at the tables(despite many empty outside where we wanted to sit). We could sit at the fire pit. The weirdest part was when I asked for a water. The barista starred blankly so I said a bottle of water is fine — just in case the issue was not paying … She said they didn’t serve bottled water but I could get a cup outside by the fire pit. Then a waitress walked by with a bottle of water for another customer ?? And there were no cups outside so I came back and asked for a plastic cup from someone else and filled up my own cup at a waiters station. It was pretty awkward. But I will say the coffee was good and tea as well.

My friend now lives in Fort Worth so on a recent visit we decided to try out Brewed for brunch. This place is popular so be prepared for a wait if you are here on Saturday or Sunday. When we finally were seated, it took a while since our section’s «server» was also the bartender. Gave us time to talk but we were both pretty hungry by the time we sat down. I ordered a poinsettia which is a pomegranate juice version of the mimosa. Loved it since it wasn’t 85% juice. I went with the scotch eggs and an order of serrano grits. My friend went with the chicken and waffles adding a grits order as well. I was quite excited for the scotch eggs as I’ve wanted to try this dish in general for a while. Overall a fabulous dish that was super filling. I wished the eggs were a little softer in the middle but I’m sure that’s just part of the process in making sure the sausage exterior is fully cooked. The aioli was really good, I only wished there was more of it and the arugula was a nice contrast as well. The grits weren’t as impressive. Don’t get me wrong they were a great consistency, smooth and creamy, but since I was in the South I expected good grits. These did not have the flavor punch I was expecting from serrano peppers. My bowl barely had any, my friend had a bit more. Could be improved with some sort of spicy cheese as well. My friend loved her waffle, was less impressed with the chicken. Didn’t have much flavor. Loved the atmosphere and décor.

I LOVED the atmosphere, and the service by Brandi was great. This is more of a sit-down restaurant than a coffee bar since you do order your coffee from the table instead of the counter. And as far as coffee goes, they don’t roast their own beans. They do, however, use a lot of craft coffee beans from different sources. You’ll find that they have coffee bags from Avoca, Cuvee, Tweed, and at least three other craft coffee brands. So they’re serious about coffee — they just don’t make their own beans. My cappuccino was good, although it was a bit too bitter and dark — but at least I know I can switch around for another type of bean. But as far as atmosphere goes, I much prefer this place over the other coffee shop a bit further down the street. And if it’s board games you want, they have a «game room» on site. What’s missing the mark is simply the food itself even though it’s farm-to-table, locally sourced. I tried two things here, the chicken & waffles, and one of the skillets. The chicken & waffles consisted of average-sized chicken tenders and oversized Belgian-style waffles. I wasn’t a fan of this dish because the chicken tenders had a spicy batter and were a tiny bit on the dry side, and the accompanying syrup for the waffles were far too sweet that I had to watch the amount of syrup I use. Additionally, the waffles by itself didn’t have much flavor, and felt easily overwhelmed by the tastier and spicier chicken. The combination of flavors just seemed off-balanced, in my opinion. The skillets, though, were much better. I ordered the scrambled veggie skillet, but asked that they replace egg whites with complete eggs(I love my yolk!). The veggie skillet has caramelized red onions, mushrooms, smoked gouda topped with sautéed spinach and roasted tomatoes. I enjoyed this dish, even though I know that if I had eaten this dish alone, I would still be hungry, unfortunately. The place would benefit from adding toast with this dish, at the very least. But really, this place is all about the relaxed and cozy atmosphere, and also for having good drinks options, from beer to coffee. Fort Worth, and even Dallas, needs more places like this one, so I wouldn’t mind coming back. But I may have to dig deeper into the menu to find something worthwhile to eat.

Who: family Where/when: Sat. brunch What: Scotch eggs, duck fat fries, coffee, other brunch items etc. Why(not): This place gets 1 star for being a restaurant that looks like Anthropolgie. Really adorable set up with many Pinterest-able art installations(notice the baby mattress springs re-purposed as chandeliers). I try to see the best in every business, but it is simply unacceptable how terrible the service and inconsistent the food is. Our server was super sweet and nice, but she was totally overwhelmed with the number of parties she had. The restaurant seemed short-staffed for a Saturday. For some reason, she did not use a tray. This made retrieving and delivering food so tedious. For example, she had to make two trips just to deliver water because she had to hand carry the cute mason jar-like glasses used to hold water. The food and drinks came late. We ordered the Scotch eggs because it is a highly rated option on the menu. Sadly, the Scotch eggs were overcooked. Duck fat fries were cold and soggy. Coffee was okay. Really disappointing. On top of that, the busser who came out to take our dishes had a tray. Overall, it took forever to have brunch, and when it was over, our table was cleaned in a flash. That combo leaves a bad taste in one’s mouth. I’m all for lazy brunches and quality time, but this was just ridiculous. What’s the deal with this place?

Each room/section of the coffee shop has a different vibe/theme going on. It’s a great place for dates, brunch, study, or just to grab coffee or dessert with friends. My friend and I came here after lunch at Cane Rosso right next door. Catie was our server and we absolutely loved her! Super hip, very attentive and friendly. Seeing that my friend and I were going to share Dulce de Leche Bread Pudding, she even offered an extra scoop of ice cream. The bread pudding comes with cream cheese flavored ice cream, and the extra scoop she gave us was goat cheese flavor. It was nice that we got to try both flavors but I liked the original cream cheese flavor more. Iced mocha was good(to be honest, not the best one I’ve had) and my friend’s Thailicious was delicious too. But my favorite part of this place is the design and décor. From the cute little furniture to shabby chic wall arts, everything contributes to the unique vintage charm of the coffee shop. Only if I lived nearby, I could see myself spending hours and hours almost everyday here!

Waaaaahhh, I really wanted to like Brewed. Any place serving booze alongside coffee is my kind of place. It’s super adorable and twee and full of hipster shit, with a really nice patio area. Unfortunately, even though our waiter was incredibly sweet, the speed of service was totally unforgivable. I’m fairly certain our order wasn’t put in when we first placed it, because we watched people around us getting food despite having come in way later than us. WAY later. It was over an hour before we got our food, y’all. And all we got was some scrambled eggs and an order of chicken and waffles. And with only about 10 items on the breakfast menu, there’s no way that kitchen was moving that slowly. My order came with flour tortillas instead of the corn I requested, but knowing we wouldn’t see our waiter for probably another 20 minutes, I just abandoned hope. The food was good, but it was probably significantly helped by how hungry were by the time we got it. We arrived at about 8:15 and didn’t have food in front of us until a little after 9:30. This also meant things like the endless coffee weren’t such a great deal — it’s not quite endless if you only get asked once if you’d like a refill. Alas, this place is truly adorable but I wouldn’t recommend it unless you have some serious time to commit to waiting around.

Yum! I can only speak to the beer, coffee, and dessert. We only had that because when we tried to eat brunch there earlier(on a Sunday), even the bar area was full. We could have sat outside on the patio, but the wind was a bit too chilly for me. We returned on Sunday, late afternoon, grabbed some bar stools, and enjoyed some of their amazing beers, a fantastic latte(expertly made with almond milk), and scrumptious ricotta fritters with caramel apple sauce. This sampling just made us really want to go back here for to eat a full meal. There was a beer flight for only $ 10. The samples in the flight were sized larger than I’ve seen in a typical flight. That’s way cool, because when you experience a drink flight, you want to really be able to taste and savor each sample… not just take a sip. Service was very friendly, but you could tell they were understaffed today. It took a while to be served, but the bartender and wait staff was very attentive and friendly. I don’t mind waiting for service, as long as staff acknowledges me, explains the situation, and is friendly… and, that is exactly what I experienced here. The restaurant has a very hipster-cool, laid back vibe. I totally loved the fact that this spot attracts a very diverse crowd — every age, gender, and ethnicity seemed to be there, which is a plus. The restaurant also has a very nice patio area. We will definitely be back!

I don’t know what you could do better for brunch. Ok… I’m a hungry guy, the plate sizes could be a little bigger. Other than that… this place is amazing. Decent prices for the amazing quality of the food. We got the Scotch eggs to start out with. A Texas born egg wrapped in sausage and the battered and deep fried served on some greens. Yummy! For sure wouldn’t fill me up but wow, scrumptious. We had some mimosas to drink… or should I say champagne with a splash of oj. Just how it should be served. My wife got a latte to go, which she said was amazing. Then we got the carnivore; three eggs, applewood smoked bacon, pulled pork and some sausage. Omg. The food taste so fresh. Compared to some chain restaurants where who knows where the food comes from… this place I’m told us farm to table. All from Texas farms. I’m not going to lie, it must be the best place I’ve been to, ever. I’m not sure what people are talking about with the service. Our waitress was awesome.

Went here for brunch [ FOOD ] Chicken and Waffles — I audibly said, «Oh my God this is SO good» after I took my first bite. The syrup tasted very unique, but with the perfect amount of sweetness. The chicken was very tender and moist. I thought I would not be full, but it was definitely enough to fill me up. Candy Bar Latte– Again, so good! Not too sweet Duck Fat Fries– We were given the option to mix up 1 order with ½ sweet potato fries, ½ regular fries. Some fries tasted a little stale, as if we got the bottom batch of fries that they cooked, but no major complaints here [ DECOR ] Beautiful mismatched chairs and very interesting wall pieces! Very aesthetic and sets the mood right for a fun brunch or dinner. [ OTHER ] There is open seating at the bar so you don’t have to wait if there is room!

Sometimes mama just needs a little quiet time and a nice meal to herself. This morning I dumped my twins off at day camp and ran for the hills. Totally kidding. I dropped them off and went to Brewed! I had Brewed on my mind because«17 friends reviewed this place» and you haven’t. Plus, chicken and waffles. It’s a cute little place. Coffees, teas, craft beer, wines, oh my! I had the berry explosion Kombucha. I always buy it at Central Market. It sits in my fridge and I know it’s there, but mentally I ignore it. «I see you in my fridge, you say you are good for me, but the live and the little floaty things inside kind of creep me out.» Yeah there were no floaty things in this one. It’s pretty good. EVERY single thing on the menu sounded good. Farm to table concept here all fresh ingredients. I wanted to eat healthy, but I got chicken and waffles. Somewhat healthy! The syrup wasn’t overly sweet and the waffles were light. The chicken was the tenders, but also soo good. It was pretty big. I could only eat half the waffle. I got my husband a banana bread and mocha to go and brought them to him at work. He said he liked both, «let’s eat here on my day off» Oh, I will be back. Breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner. Everything sounded great. I forsee that when my kids are in school this August full time and I start another semester that I will be eating lunch here often. Seems like a good place to get your studying on :).
