Went to Prairie Fest in April 25, 2014 just to take a break as I was preparing for my upcoming wedding. Seen Auntie AM’s Sweet Stop and bought 2 cup cakes, chocolate and red velvet. An hour later my fiancé at the time was driving home and sampled it. OMG he wanted to turn the car around and wanted more cake. We were an hour away from the event. Thank God I got Auntie AM’s Sweet Stop business card. Based on this wonderful experience we hired Auntie AM to make our wedding cake. Our wedding was last Thursday, June 12, 2014, we had 145 guest. When the guest seen the cake was red velvet they stood in line to get a slice. Within 15 minutes a 4 tier wedding cake evaporated. We had 2 red velvet layers, 1 lemon layer, and the top layer was a combination of strawberry and lemon. YUMMY!!! The cake was BEAUTIFUL and Delicious. The cream cheese icing and the crystal bling made the cake look ELEGANT. My new husband is a software engineer programer and Ann Marie made him a computer laptop cake that sat on a book about computer programing. Everyone wanted a piece of the groom’s cake as well. It disappeared in 20 – 30 minutes. We had a ton of engineers at this wedding who kept circling the cake waiting for a slice. Also, since we met online at ok cupid and Ann Marie used a google computer screen of firefox(my husbands favorite search engine) and the screen showed online dating along with his user name and thousands of unread messages. LOL. Even my 86 year old father in law loved the cake and how detailed it was. Both cakes were splendid. Ann Marie delivered the cake for free, set it up, and only charged $ 3 per slice. The owner Ann Marie was very creative, kind, talented and very professional. As a busy bride she kept in contact with me every step of the way texting me pictures of the flowers to use on the cake, ribbons, bling, crystals, etc… She has wonderful communication skills and she is very detailed with her designs. Ann Marie takes pride in her work and it shows because her finished cakes are MAGNIFICENT!!! I am meeting up with my bridal party this weekend to view our wedding dvd and these ladies have already asked me for a business card to Auntie AM’s Sweet Stop along with what flavor cake they want. So far most votes are for the lemon and red velvet… these cakes are soooooo moist. The apple spice with caramel is just as wonderful. Well looks like it’s time for another order of sweets :-) Thanks Ann Marie for making our wedding day soooo special. My husband was truly surprised with his computer cake and he LOVEDIT!!! We will ALWAYS use your talented cake baking skills for upcoming events.

I’m a sucker for design-your-own-anything. So make it a cupcake that can rival Sprinkles and you’ve got me. For life. I will most definitely end all future stops at the Cowtown Chowdown with one of these amazing cupcake creations. Maybe someday Auntie Am will drive on over to Dallas, I don’t think I can justify driving an hour for just a cupcake.

Auntie AM’s is the sweet stop(yes, I just name-dropped the title into a pun) for those in the new Cowtown Chow Down food park. There are cupcakes, there are cookies, and there are Christian Bible verses! What more could you want out of a mobile eatery. Oh, yeah, they are also quite the unique cupcake shop, as they bake straight out of the trailer. I don’t know how they do it, but maybe they are using an adult-size Little Miss Debbie instant-oven. Prices are a touch lower here than you would expect. Specifically, the cookies are just $ 0.625 a pop! Yes, $ 1.25 for 2 would be easier… but if I had $ 0.625, I would pay it for 1. The oatmeal raisin was dense, chewy, and chock full of cinnamon. Right on. The chocolate was a little crispier and flat than normal – luckily, the chewy chocolate chips made up for the texture that isn’t necessarily my cup o’ tea. All in all, a fine dessert shop… especially after you feast on the spicy, fatty, meaty grub that can be found at this specific pocket of true grubbing at its finest.
