Cute place but NEVER go here if you are trying to conduct any sort of business. Im sure the kids area appeals to many folks. Good coffee and lots of food and treat options.

What a great concept for a Fort Wayne coffee house! They really fill a specific niche that very few places do. Great coffee and a really nice and safe play area for the kids. The staff are always welcoming and generous. If you want to relax, enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee or treat yourself to a flavored frozen coffee, while the kids play, then definitely check this place out.

My daughter wanted to try something different this year for my granddaughter’s birthday, so she was initially so excited when she came across Java Mama’s specialized parties. You pick your theme(ours was a princess tea party), decoration colors, food… and can even have your child’s favorite character attend and interact with the children. It’s VERY pricey, so we’re thinking it’s going to be amazing and a lot of fun. Boy, were we wrong. The party planner barely communicated with my daughter prior to the party. We get to the party, and the staff barely interacted with us except to ask for the remaining balance. The food was subpar at best… frozen(not fresh) fruit, limp veggies, and mediocre sandwiches. The decorations were underwhelming, like I’m pretty sure half of it was from the Dollar Tree. Everything was just… meh. The concept is cool, but it was so poorly executed. For the price they ask for parties, they could have done so much more. We’ll stick to Chuck E. Cheese next time.

Java Mama is a cool concept. Enjoy your morning coffee while your kid can play in an fully furnished, toy heaven. I recently tried this place out for the first time for my nephew’s birthday party. The kids were having a blast in their play area. Looked fairly safe and has a gate and wall built around it to keep the kiddos in. I ordered an iced coffee and my bf ordered a tea. Both were mediocre. When I drink my morning coffee or tea I like something authentic and with a kick. They both seemed a little flat and like«commercial» coffee and tea. My bagel and cream cheese were okay and hit the spot. They have a nice little space to host an event, such as a birthday party. Perfect size for the group of 20. Overall the atmosphere was kid-friendly. Not your relaxing, laid back vibe of a coffee shop– so I only recommend if you have children or don’t mind some extra noise.

This place is awesome for parents. The overall concept of the business is brilliant. Take your toddlers here. Play a nominal fee and let them play in their gated off, supervised play area. There are so many things to climb around on, toys, books, dress up clothes, a play house, and more that your kids will certainly find something to keep them easily entertained for a few hours. Parents may enter the area but really unless there is an issue the attendant did a great job of helping kids when they needed it and also breaking up any potential toddler fights over toys before they really happened. By paying the fee for entry(I believe it was 4.50 each toddler) they do not require you to purchase any of their food or drink. In fact I actually saw people who had brought in lunch for their kids. They do have a decent size menu of coffee drinks, breakfasts, bagels, and sandwiches that you can order including kids meals. I ordered a caramel machiatto and a veggie omelette. Realistically the food quality was probably average but when you are a parent of two 2yr olds and you can eat your meal and enjoy a coffee while relaxing at a seated area just observing your toddlers play in a safe zone with someone else helping them if they need it does tend to make the meal seam much better! I.e. You get to eat in peace with no interruptions! We will definitely be going back at least once a month or so and I will be exploring the menu. I’m telling you this place is a stay at home parent’s dream. The only negative thing that I can say about this place is that they are only open until the late afternoon. It would be great if they were open later in the evening to allow for meeting my non parent friends for coffee after work.

This is my first time here. I really love the atmosphere here, and they even have a play area for children! That is a very useful and unique feature. I have never seen that in a coffee shop before. The atmosphere is very family-oriented and not too crazy or hectic. It seems like a relaxing place for parents to enjoy a cup of coffee while the kids play in the play area. The staff is very friendly, and I feel so welcomed as I walked through the door. I ordered an iced chai latte, and it was delicious. I will definitely be back to try other drinks and food!

Great place! The coffee was good and reasonably priced. The food looked good and they offer DeBrands chocolates. They have good quality wooden toys for sale, as well as cute hats and play clothes. The kids play area is very nice, the entire store seemed clean and friendly.

I do not have kids but I came here with a friend and her 2 year old daughter. We got to talk and catch up while we watched her daughter play and have fun with the other kids in the play area. The smoothies and food were very tasty and the prices were very reasonable. Someday when I do have kids, I will be taking them to Java Mama, but in the meantime, I will continue to meet up my friends and their kids there!
