Holiday Inn Ft. Wayne-Ipfw & Coliseum

I’ve stayed here for 3 nights every week for four weeks in a row for training for a job. It’s a nice hotel, friendly staff, everything is clean, breakfast is good, and dinner at there restaurant the grille is good. I would recommend it to anyone staying in ft. Wayne especially if your going to the Coliseum which is conveniently across the street.

We came to visit family. The location was nice and lots of food options close by. The manager Brian B was very helpful and gave me a complimentary room upgrade for the family. As a weekly road warrior the HI brand always has nice, clean rooms and comfortable beds. This location was a touch above and the family suite was perfect for our short visit!

Agree with Ashley M! Just basically was told by staff to use the nasty in room coffee maker or go to a gas station for coffee… wow. Sending guests to gas station for a cup of coffee before noon. Brilliant!

Poor customer service, unprofessional General Manager. Nice Hotel but WOW what a negative experience that has been brushed under the rug .It appears that no one wants to address the comments made by the general manager. He reported that I was belligerent and my neck/​head was moving from side to side… I filed a complaint and they assured me that the General Manager would contact me directly and I have not heard from him as of yet. I have sent several messages and I was advised by customer service to contact him myself. As directed I called him and he has not returned my call. I have been following-​up on this since Oct 5^th and it is not Nov 28^th.

The fire alarm started going off at 10:31 pm and was still on when we Left at 1:33 pm… They seemed to have no idea how to take care of customers — no one wanted to lead. This was our preferred hotel in Fort Wayne — has a bar — Stella on tap but now I will hesitate to book again or recommend.
We had to evacuate as not allowed to operate a hotel with non functional fire system. Epic failure. Guess Fort Wayne has low standards for customer care — stay at own risk.

Whatcha gonna do? It’s a chain hotel, but this Holiday Inn mainly stood out due to the customer service and comfortable accommodations. Everyone we spoke with from the front desk to the restaurant was beyond accommodating. And the rooms are quite nice, compared to most.
We came to Fort Wayne from Indianapolis for a concert across the street at the stadium. We chose this hotel because, well… it’s right across the street. They took our bags up the the room and we hopped on the free shuttle to the stadium. That made me happy to not have to bother with annoying parking issues.
The hotel is still pretty new, so you’ve got updated everything:
— Rooms include mini fridge, microwave, iron and ironing board
— Beds have a pillow top sheet for you fluffy bed people. And for us firm mattress folks, you can just take that off. Versatility rules. Comfortable bedding.
— Just a shower in the bathroom, but it curves around a corner so you don’t need a shower curtain. Oh, and no pesky fire alarm in the bathroom. I hate that.
— Couch, coffee table, desk, flatscreen TV
— Free WiFi that actually worked
— Breakfast buffet actually tasted really horrible, but the waitress stayed cool when we kept asking her for all sorts of stuff.
— Front desk was personable and very friendly whenever we went past
Highly reccommended if you’re staying in town, especially for an event somewhere in the area.

A million times better than last hotel… A million!

This is really really nice Holiday Inn. I feel like Holiday Inn’s are hit or miss, but this is definitely a good one! It’s very large inside and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was really clean, and the food we ordered from the restaurant was awesome. Had a very pleasant stay here!

I am back again at this hotel due to a business trip. My meeting was literally across the street and I ventured to stay here yet again. The front desk clerk has been awesome! No sports teams here today. I managed to find the pool, whirlpool and game room! Did I mention the game room has Ms. Pac Man! Old school favorite! Anyway, this time around the service is defnitely better. I’ve decided to go out for my meals though based ono my experiences last time.
Located very conveniently to the Ft Wayne War Memoria Colliseum. Very convenient.
