Came late night with friends and got the Sundae to share. Enough for four of us. Also had decaf coffee and it was good. Lots of pleasant staff around. Very clean place. Good chocolates!

The staff working the day after Valentine’s Day was great!
I enjoyed an amazing chocolate cheesecake decorated so beautifully on its plate!
While I was enjoying my cheesecake, a customer came in to return chocolate her boyfriend got her for Valentine’s Day. She was difficult at first with a bad attitude from the second she walked in the door, but the staff turned it around very fast! She left with an exchange (I believe a partial amount of what she brought in) and she also left with what her boyfriend had gotten her since they would have had to throw away the return.
I was extremely impressed with how they handled low and high maintenance customers!
I also loved how the inside looked. Clean and very innovative. It looks very high class. Will definitely be returning to this store if I am ever in Ft Wayne again!

I have great memories of DeBrand’s from when I was a kid. We always visited Ft. Wayne and went tobogganing and then to DeBrand’s for hot chocolate. YUM! So when I was in town recently, I was thinking about it and wanted to go. We went to this location at Jefferson Point since my husband wanted to visit a store nearby. I walked in and there were a few people standing by the counter and a few people who were behind it putting chocolates in gift boxes. I stood there for a couple minutes feeling a bit awkward because I wasn’t sure how to be helped and wasn’t acknowledged. Finally I was. I made my order, buying some gifts for family and a few things for myself. If I had more time, I would have gotten the hot cocoa, but I got a couple of their gift sets of it so I can enjoy later.
Slow service continued in ringing me up. Good thing the chocolates were worth it! I’ll be back next time I’m in the Fort to get a yummy sundae or hot cocoa!

I have loved Debrand since 1993. Back then I was in High School and a vegetarian — but now that I am vegan — I am disappointed that they do not offer any dairy free chocolates.
Also, over the years my palette for fine chocolate has expanded and I don’t find the richness of their chocolate to be up to par with similar price point chocolates.
Along those lines — I was also surprised that none of the staff could tell me the source of origin of their cocoa powder… this is important these days if you are looking to be a responsible consumer and/​or business.
Nevertheless — Debrand is a Indiana Institution imho and always worth at least a few dollars on a truffle… or two :)

Not happy with what I’m used to for service! Saturday nights may be busy, but when my wife and I are enjoying a night out… end up waiting close to ten minutes to place an order for deserts… and then watch teenage girls behind counter avoid helping each other… AND STILL NOT HAVE MY ORDER TAKEN… c’mon! Very upset after I dropped over $ 60 in gift purchases in other Debrands store just a day earlier. I will not plan to come back to this location, or recommend anytime soon.

What can I say? It seriously does not get any better than DeBrand Chocolates! They also make the perfect gift if you can stand to give them away. Hands down, my most favorite treat ever!

There’s something very satisfying about buying $ 100 worth of chocolate, even if you don’t get to keep it all. I have a friend who just moved to Australia and was really missing his Debrand chocolate, so he had me go to the store for him to fill a care package. While I went around grabbing bunches of candy bars, I took the time to taste some samples of each.
In the end, he got his year’s supply, and I made a friend out of myself.
The greatest thing is, the workers didn’t blink an eye, neither for the amount of chocolate I bought nor the amount of free samples I took. Thanks, Debrand!

This is a very lovely chocolate shop with excellent desserts, friendly staff, and of course, yum-​o-​licious chocolates.
My sister and I stop by sometimes after a hard day of shopping at JP (that’s what all the cool kids call Jefferson Pointe, dontchaknow?) to treat ourselves to a little something. It’s expensive, but wonderfully worth it!
I have also ordered chocolates off the website to send to my sister when life is a little tough — it’s her favorite and she, like me, knows from good chocolate!
