Chili’s Grill & Bar

Please… go away. I hadn’t eaten at Chili’s in Fort Wayne for over a year, as the last time we were there, the place was dirty, the food was mediocre as was the service. We noticed that they remodeled the outside to give the place a cleaner, and more modern look. We thought… well maybe it’s better now. NOPE! We were encouraged to go and sit in the bar. The bartender was our server. He acknowledges us that he would be over. That was fine, as we hadn’t been there in a while. He took our drink order. Someone else brought our drinks (no big deal). He eventually took our order, and brought us a chips & salsa appetizer. That was the last time he came to our table, or even acknowledged our presence until he dropped the bill. Someone else brought the food, but he never checked on us, even as he passed by our table on the way back to the bar. Even eye-​contact would have been something. Then when he did drop the bill, we were more than ready to go, so we offered him a credit card. He then had the audacity to tell us we could pay the bill at our table on their little tablet toy thing. Wow… you’re so bad of a server that you couldn’t even take the check. Never in my life had I left a restaurant still thirsty. I had to stop on the way home at a gas station to get a drink. Probably some of the worst service I have ever had. The only positive was the food was actually good. That’s why they get 2 stars instead of one, but not worth the bad service you get. My advice would be… go somewhere else, or just get it carry-​out.

Alright this review and 5 stars are for the bartender Lee. Drove in from out of town and came in for a drink and she was fantastic!

Tonight we ate at Chili’s and the food was great.
Our Texas Cheese Fries were superb and our Quesadilla Explosion Salad
was wonderful to sum it all up.

We came late after our roller derby tournament and Chilis is handling the big crowds phenomenally! Chandler so graciously brought us dessert to celebrate and the wait staff is being very patient with all of us. The food was great and drinks were delicious. Thank you chilis!

Good food, bad service. We had the nachos, a smoky burger with onion rings and bacon on it and the lunch fajitas. But our waiter was not very attentive. My water glass was empty when he brought the main course and he said he’d get me a refill. However, I was done with my meal and had to ask again for water. Finally I got some. Getting the correct bill was also a problem.

We came in for dinner and was seated immediately… the was the last good thing to happen at this meal. My husband and I both ordered appetizers, soup and cheese dip, everyone around us got theirs but we never seen ours. I ordered a salad and my husband ordered fajitas. After waiting more than 45min. The server finally brings out soup. I asked for my cheese dip and she brought it out. She stated she was just waiting on the fajitas. A few minutes later she came out with a hot salad and enchiladas for my husband. When he told her this wasn’t what he ordered he asked to see a manager. This is when she apologized and this was her first night. WHAT?! Who puts a server on their first night by themselves on a Friday night. What was management thinking? Obviously they weren’t.
