You have to visit the Bravas food truck. It’s been over a year since I’ve had a Bravas dog, and *still* crave it! Great for a fun lunch option or late night snack while downtown Fort Wayne. Pros — Ingredient choices are unbelievable for such a «low-brow» meat specimen as the hot dog. — The El Gringo is by far my favorite, who would have thought guacamole would work?! Love their signature sauce, too. — Friendly staff Cons — It’s located 3 hours away :(

«It’s just a hotdog», you might think, but by all things good and wiener-y you’d be WRONG! Bo and company do things with tubular beef that will blow your mind. Start with an El Gringo, and you will forever have a new hot dog standard. Also, being a food truck(and sometimes hotdog cart), they’re obviously mobile. The best way to keep up with their escapades is to follow them on twitter at @bravasfood. Enjoy!

Bravas has ruined hotdogs for me because nothing else compares! The Bacon BBQ Slaw dog is by far my favorite but I haven’t tried one I didn’t like! They have veggie dogs too for you crazy vegetarians out there. They accept credit cards via the Square App. I love Bravas when I’m sober, but look for them outside the Brass Rail or on The Landing for some drunk food! Keep an eye out for the Bravas Food Truck hitting the streets soon with traditional Spanish tapas!

Another«first» for Fort Wayne: The«pop up» hot dog cart. Serving«gourmet» style hot dogs. I have seen them around for about two, plus years? Until today I thought the owners where the two working, but alas they are only employees. The owner is doing well enough to hire them, and sit back and create the«new» creations? Whatever, they do use high quality all beef hot dogs from Gorden’s food supply. Also fresh buns and some homemade ingredients. Two years ago, I bought a Chicago? Style hotdog from the same employees, it was good enough to remember them. Yesterday did not disappoint, as they seem to be able to maintain their high standards. One good thing about this business? They keep the local restaurants sharp, they are the new competition on any street they appear at. Bravas seems cheaper than the local brick and mortar operations. Since they do not pay property taxes? I will give them a four star ratting. Note: I usually only give a five star ratting to The Four Seasons motel. This is their Facebook address: Twitter:
