Great place. Very impressed with the friendly staff and the high end feel. May be the nicest Best Western I’ve ever stayed at. Updated clean rooms and a great breakfast selection.

My first impression as I walked in the door was how warm and inviting it looked coming in out of the snow storm we’d driven through. There was a fire going and fresh cookies waiting. The staff have all been incredibly helpful and take an obvious pride in making sure guests are happy. We stayed in a King Suite because I’m working this week and there is a door that closes between the sitting room and the bedroom so I can tune out my 4 year old. Entering the room I was excited that it smelled of the wood of the furniture, which seems brand new. No trace of the chemical air freshener that most hotel rooms reek of. The room is clean and the carpet doesn’t have that ick factor that most do. I’m ok in my bare feet and letting my 4 year old play on the floor. The blankets and sheets were pristine, including the comforter. Now, I don’t expect a place to be perfect and have zero issues. Rather, I tend to look at how issues are handled. I reported a couple of very minor things not working optimally in the room and I hadn’t even settled in the room when the maintenance man was at the door. He listened to me and then completely fixed both issues very quickly. Brilliant! We used the indoor pool last night as well. I could smell the chemicals but wasn’t bothered by them later so I take that as a good sign. They weren’t too cheap to put them in but they weren’t overpowering, either. My 4 year old is in a wheelchair and we opted for the King Suite instead of one of their accessible rooms so I don’t expect this room to be accessible and it’s not. Just noting in case others with a wheelchair may be considering the King Suite. There is plenty of room for my son’s power chair to get in and out the sitting room and have a spot out of the way to park. The bathroom is small and when the door is open, it blocks about 80% of the tub/shower area. This would be no problem for most people as they’d have the door closed during a bath or shower. For us, it takes 2 of us to do a bath for our disabled son and only I could be right next to the tub. I can’t just shut the door all the way because once I pick him up he’s too heavy and requires both hands to be able to open it again once he’s out of the shower. So, that is awkward. But again, this isn’t a reflection on the hotel at all. It was my choice not to do an accessible room. I just wish more folks with chairs would write reviews so I could benefit from them myself! So, definitely worthy of 5 stars. Breakfast was good, too. We’ll absolutely stay here again.
