Best advice is go here to order breakfast and the breakfast specials available until 10:30am which include your drink. Also they will offer to sub sliced tomatoes instead of the hash browns which make for a nice healthy option especially when ordering a choice with a meat. Generally the service is friendly and prompt. We have ordered the Denver omelet and the strawberry waffle(in season of course) and they are always really good. Another good perk is generally the place is warm and cozy, but it could use a little updating as they still have the small fake flowers on the tables and the menus haven’t been reprinted for probably over 10 years. Speaking of the menu it suffers from the old trap of offering way too many items — knowing that everything cannot be good and all of the choices make it impossible to keep the food fresh in the kitchen. They could easily eliminate 75% of the menu and only keep the most commonly ordered items and make a huge difference in the quality of the food. We stopped in for a quick lunch and wow what a night and day difference. Quite frankly it was horrible. I ordered the patty melt on sourdough with fries and soup. Oh my… where do I begin? The soup was clam chowder and was bright yellow in color and very thick. It was mostly potatoes with one piece of clam that tasted really fishy. The hamburger was obviously a frozen patty and the melt had American cheese and a big pile of barely cooked onions. Needless to say it was not good. And finally if it could get any worse the fries were only slightly warm and tasted old. As we were walking out we noticed another customer with what looked like mashed potatoes, thin sliced beef, and green beans scooping the entire meal into a to-go container and I overheard him say he was taking it home to throw away. My best advice is stop by this place for the breakfast specials before 10:30 — but otherwise skip the dated menu and not so good lunch food.

I ordered a vegetable skillet. It was good, but I noticed that the mushrooms were very chewy. I thought to myself«How are mushrooms chewy??» They must have been from a can. It is because of this that I cannot award more than 3 stars.

I come at least once a month with my family. Friendly family waitstaff knows my drink choice which is so charming. Wide selection on the menu which it may take me years to cover. Very tasty.

This place has a feel that makes it so dang comfortable. It’s like that small town breakfast joint where everyone chit chats across the dining room and enjoys a good laugh with the waitress they always have. Oh, yeah, they also have REALLYGOODFOOD! Not amazing«oh my God» food, but good food that will make you full and happy.
