Everytime I come here is a fun time. It tends to get crowded fast so get there early to get a seat. Not a fancy place by no means. Parking is free, drinks are strong and music is like dat.

Me and my wife went there for a friend’s birthday celebration. We order some tilapia and noticed it was taking a long time for the food to come out. The bartender came to us after about 30 minutes saying it was gonna take longer then normal. After about 45 minutes she said they didn’t have any tilapia. They offered us salmon instead. I said fine and we continued to wait. After close to 2 hours of waiting we walked out. The bartender didn’t seem that concerned that we were waiting as long as we did. I was very disappointed in the service.

They allow so-called«comedians» dressed in 2004 attire to come into their establishment and disrespect their clientele.

That comedian talking about your clientele went too far and gave a bad reputation for your establishment.

Soooooo Unilocal is going to MAKE me give Martini’s a star?! If I had my druthers, I wouldn’t give any. This place is terrible; a true hole in the wall… a real dive! There are 2 sides-one more renovated than the other, but both still subpar. If they’re not too busy, they’ll only have the less renovated side open(and what you see now is renovated, compared to what it used to be). Going with the previous reviews, the crowd does range from 20 – 70 and some of the older patrons are as bad as the youngins! The drinks are in line with DMV overpricing and they are strong; perhaps that’s what keeps this dump alive? Martini’s is raunchy. Period. Your feet stick to the carpet, wires are hanging all about, the bar smells sour, the chair cushions are raggedy, it’s dark, dank, just on and on. With all that, folks still order food/eat in this place! The employees have the worst attitudes, but then again, many of them are straight off the jail bus! With so many better options, I don’t understand why people still frequent this place.

Hole in the wall. The good thing is that you can come here and be yourself. No one really pays attention to what you wear. I feel like everyone want to have a good time. The long island iced tea was about 13, but I would call it the strong island iced tea. I went with like 25 people for a birthday party. I wouldnt go by myself or without a large number of people

The good things about this place is that there is no smoking inside, the prices are decent and the music is good. I went here as part of a meetup but I don’t think I go again. I have to agree with previous reviewers. The age crowd is very random. Patrons range from 30 – 70 and you will see older folk in there twerking! If you are older and looking for place to get down with a casual dress code and ok prices you may like it. NOT for the person looking for a more hip/glamorous experience and a 20-something crowd. FYI there is a $ 15 cover starting at 9PM.

First, never listen to radio ads if you want an accurate description of what a place is like. They get paid to say its a nice place, duh! But in reality, this place is a real hole in the wall. I would hate to see what it looks like with the lights turned on! They have two separate rooms. The club area is the darkest, and looks to be the least kept up. The room with the live bands looks much better. Drinks are super strong like to the point that you will only need one. Personally, I would never pay to get in to this place. Sometimes its $ 15 and sometimes its $ 20 depending on how they feel that day. The service sucks. If you are sitting at a table, you may only see your waitress once an hour. The best thing about this place is the Mozzarella sticks :) The age crowd is very random. I swear the patrons range from 30 – 70. People’s grandparents literally be in there twerking on Friday nights =/

I have to co-sign what a previous reviewer said. Martini’s has certainly gone down over the past years. The service is horrible, they have torn carpets and I can’t believe I have to pay to get in this place. If I could have given them no stars I would have. I must say that they have some great deejays, especially Big Cee which is the reason for the star. I hope they really renovate this place real soon!

This place gets raunchy after 10… Majority of the time it felt like I was in strip club. People were lap dancing and sexing on the dance floor. I went this past Friday night and literally drove straight there from a road trip because 102.3 was that good! The DJs music selection after that really changed the atmosphere. He kept breaking the songs and he played misogynistic music that it became very difficult to dance to or enjoy my company — every song was blasting«bx$/:th and Ho» … It became so unbearable that we just left, I should’ve asked for a refund! The funny thing is these were grown folks — somebody’s momma. If you’re looking for a place where you can dance and not feel like you’re leaving«sodom and gommorah» I hear Half Note may satisfy, but if you’re feeling nasty, Martinis may work. However, they should advertise with a different brand, because it’s NoT upscale for 30+. There were several scenes that reminded me of a wild frat party.

Martinis has gone down over the years. Although, the club has been remodeled a little; it’s just not enough. The bathrooms are horrible! No one cleans the restroom during the the night. I use the restroom at the beginning or at home before I come to the club. The DJ is sometime-ish…it’s a musical roulette. The dress code has gone down or not enforced. Some of the patrons can not be 21. Some of the Bartender’s make excellent drinks and other’s should not be behind the bar. I only order fried chicken and fries. The fried chicken wing are excellent and the crab dip is good(tasted someone’s else). However, the fish smells rotten. I don’t understand how people eat something that smells so horrible. The staff is friendly. However, the owner is clueless; he is only concern with profits… not cleanliness or food safety. The radio ads are not the lounge you’re going to get. I use to go because it was free before 10 pm. I don’t go as much now that its $ 15. I go to other places and get more for my cover charge.

I had no idea what to expect when I walked in on Friday night but I was pleasantly surprised, there was no pretentiousness and everyone seemed cool. It was all ages. It felt like a good, down to earth party. People where there to dance and have a good time. The best part though was the band on one side of the club. They played cover songs with a true gogo beat. As a DC native I was thrilled to hear such good music. The only downside is that some of the fellas don’t dress up… please stop wearing sweatpants to the club! Also, the price to get in is a bit steep, was $ 15 when I went in and was $ 20 by the time I left but I guess for live music that was worth it.

I went to this club on a Tuesday night when the comedians were there. I’m not going to lie, this spot was ”OK”. But it wasn’t what I expected. From the radio promotions I thought this place would be much bigger inside. The bar was good, the drinks were reasonably priced and the staff was professional. The crowd was mainly African-American, between the age range of 30 – 45 and laid back. Most of the women were cute and full-figured, which is cool with me. The food was lousy, most of the comedians were lame and the DJ was ”WACK”. If I come back it would have to be on the weekend or during an event.

I didn’t eat there but I give a a decent review for the crowd and the music. Friday night they had a DJ on one side and a live band on the other. Mostly Afro-American professional looking crowd. I would definitely go again.

Martini’s is an average lounge/club. I attended a Christmas party for my wife’s job and I was a little underwhelmed at what I saw at Martini’s. From the heavy radio promotion, one would think that Martini’s is a ‘dress up’ and grown folks party kind of place-for the $ 10.00 cover, I at least expected the club to have a dress code. However, that was not the case. OK, maybe I’m a bit of a snob, but I typically judge a place that serves food based on the condition of the bathroom – it was straight up nasty. What this tells me is that the management has low standards and is probably overly concerned with ensuring the bartenders don’t over pour(even though they have those adapters on the bottles) than they are with cleanliness. The drinks were standard club prices($ 7.50 for Captain and Coke) and as previously mentioned, poured on the meter. I didn’t order from the menu because it was a catered event, but if the catered meal was a representation of the club’s Resturant itself, it’s best to eat before you come. Food was as nasty as the bathroom. The DJ, well, he was kind of wack too – I have a better selection of mixed music on my iPhone. For what its worth, I would probably go back just to confirm my earlier assessment. I would like to go there when they have a live band, but for now it a two-star-er…
