I love this bookstore and really enjoy when they open for their flash sales. Great variety of books cds and all sorts of fun stuff. The owners /operators are the nicest bunch too. Thanks for keeping my nose buried in books!!!

You won’t really find any great deals here. Just a bunch of books that are really overstock and don’t sell well or at all online. Most trades are $ 2. I think the books aren’t that great because if you bring anything in that’s worth more than $ 2 then they sell it online(just taking a guess, I mean… that’s a way to make $ and stay open and I love all used bookstores so, no judgies). However– if you are looking for a book that lots of people get rid of, it’s worth checking out. They also have some DVDs, CDs and much higher priced«vintage» type items.

I love how this lame store tried to advertise itself of my negative review of them. This store is a HUGE waste of time. There are way better out there! Steer clear! Also don’t be pathetic and cry about the reviews you get on Unilocal

Extreme rip-off…they don’t follow their own posted rules about book buying.

Can you say«bargain?» I keep going back for kid books for my daughter’s classroom. Plus flash cards and science kits. Setting up a classroom is affordable here.

Ah, used book stores. T and my dad just built a brand new, 6-foot long bookcase so, clearly, we need more books to fill it. On Friday we bought about 10 books to start the process. There were a lot of bestsellers, not so many«odd» books but obviously we found enough to keep us interested and wanting to return. The black and white doggie snoozing by the counter was just icing on the cake. :) If you buy 5, the 6th is free. Six books for $ 10? Yes please!

While the parking is huge, I never see that many people. Like Amanda said, it’s pretty easy to miss since it looks like an old, abandoned warehouse and can pretty much be an eyesore. Despite the outside looking enormous, the inside is rather tiny, but is nice and clean with everything in order so you have a better browsing experience. If your looking for a certain book, use the computer and if they have it, print out the slip and head to the counter. They take care of the rest while you look around. I do find some pretty good books. but the prices seem to cost me more than I like. I have also traded in books and have gotten a good amount in in-store credit(not so much in cash, but I would spend it on books anyway). For some, this could be a hit-or miss or for others, a true heaven

I used to go to this place often when I still lived at my parents’ house in the ‘burbs; it was a nice alternative to the local chain bookstores. It’s easy to miss as it’s in the middle of the industrial park in a warehouse, tucked behind a bridge. The store itself is rather tiny, only a fraction of the warehouse space – you can see the hundreds of thousands of books they use to stock their online storefront, but a small selection is available in the front. They have a nice range of used books, all in great condition, though nothing too out of the ordinary. The prices are a bit high for used books, but again, I guess you are paying for the condition. There are a few other features of the store that I like; there’s a Penguin classics wall with cheap, awesome books, and also a nice sci fi/fantasy section kept separate from the rest of the books. But the best thing are the«grab bag» boxes in the middle of the store that are refreshed weekly, with much more varied options(and strange offerings) than the rest of the store. They also used to have huge sales once a month where you could go into a separate room and get books for super cheap, but I’m not sure if they still do that or not. And decent prices for store credit trade ins; I’ve dumped a lot of grocery bags full of paperbacks there and traded them in for better options. It’s small, so it’s often cramped, and people do take their time. It’s a little frustrating sometimes, but I guess something that you just have to put up with.

It is impossible here to find used books stores! Has no one ever heard of Half Price Books? I am not crazy about the location or the set up of this place but they do a pretty good job. You can browse a small area of books or use the computer book look up and if they have it they will get it out of the warehouse storage. Fair prices-nice staff. People looking at USED books usually have no sense of personal space IMO — this place is no different. I always get stuck looking in the same area as the woman who thinks the whole shelf is her territory. Oh well — what one does to save some money and some trees!!!
