I was referred here for my 16-month-old son to get his hearing checked. They see both kids and adults here and have sections for each in their waiting room, which is nice. The kids’ area has giant murals of sea life, small chairs, and several toys to keep the little ones entertained. The wait in the waiting room wasn’t too bad, but once we were taken back to the exam room, after the assistant took some basic information, we were left waiting in the room for a very long time. The exam rooms are definitely not designed for kids so I had a very squirmy and grumpy little boy on my hands by the time the audiologist made her appearance. The hearing screening was a little difficult because of that and I’m not sure they got the most accurate read because he was so worked up by then, but at least the eardrum vibration test portion wasn’t affected. Back to the exam room and then we saw Dr. Kaden(still a bit of wait between but not as bad). He was very nice and related well to both me and my son. He gave us a clear explanation of the results and his recommendations and then left us with his assistant for the specifics. Overall, I feel like he got good medical care there, but they really need to be more sensitive to wait times and/or have a kid-friendly exam room so the little patients don’t go crazy(or at least, drive their parents there) before being seen. Also, a tip: if you’re going as a new patient, I would strongly recommend that you print out the paperwork from their website and fill it out in advance(especially if you’re going with a child) because it is rather lengthy. One other niggle is that all questions and procedure scheduling after the initial visit had to go through the physician’s medical assistant and she was very tough to reach via phone(multiple games of phone tag).
