Should probably stick to martinis and sushi. The non-sushi was hovering around par, passable but I expected better. The service was slow, we waited more than an hour after ordering and had pester our busy waitress. I’m told the sushi was great however. This place is probably better for hanging out and casual drinking than a dinner party.

I’ve dined in a couple times, and frequently get carry out. All in all, I really like their sushi and selection. It’s very consistent and the prices really aren’t that bad. Some of these negative reviews seem outrageously picky! Sure, it could be better and they make mistakes. But I’ve never had a messed up order that wasn’t quickly remedied or felt like my money would have been better spent elsewhere. I also love the one bartender who always wears the side braid. She’s very personable!

Out of hot sake. Ordered old fashion with makers mark. Out of makers, they didn’t suggest another whiskey just subbed it for whatever they liked. The drink was weak. Food took hour and a half to come out. We were celebrating a graduation. We should have went to Wendy’s

NOTRECOMMENDED! BADSERVICE Sushis are more expensive, lower quality than Fuji. Fire rice was good. 1 star for the terrible service. Only 10 customers for the whole big restaurant. I and my friend waited 10 mins for the waiter to come. 10 for 2 cups of water, And 25 minutes for 2 dishes of sushi and a fire rice. We had to ask for the chopsticks which need for sushi. And we realized there no towel or napkins when we finished. I can even pay a little more for the good service. It was our first time there. And it’s hard to come back if the restaurant doesn’t change anything in service.

2 thumbs Way up in the atmosphere, for the atmosphere. came the day before Valentines day and it was very busy(no reservation) had a long wait, but waiting area was very comfy. service was ok to good, got better once it died down. for appetizer they gave alot of edamame n the steamed shrimp dumplings were Very Good«Saucyyy». skip the basic rolls because they r kind of bland, blander than usual. go for the Specialtys, try the Dragon(Game of Thrones) rolls. for something spicy try the Tornado rolls. we will b back

The location of this restaurant plays a huge factor in my review. If this was located in a major city I would rank it at 3 stars, but considering it is located in Ft. Smith I had to allow for a little leeway. The service was very good. We had a larger group and we all got our drinks and food quickly. The restaurant was fairly busy, but the acoustics allowed us to still hear everyone at our table. The drinks were lovely and not too weak as well. The sushi was perfectly fine. I had the spicy tuna and I did not like it. The fish wasn’t spiced, but instead they sprinkled loose spice on the plate and set the sushi on top of it. The result was a slightly gritty texture and the heat wasn’t evenly distributed. I’ll go back, but mostly for the atmosphere and the fact that sushi isn’t easy to come by in Arkansas.

I have visited this location three times now and have gotten a completely different restaurant all three times I have been there. It could easily be my favorite restaurant, if it could improve on customer service. The food is great, especially for the price. The first time we visited, I fell in love with the place. I loved the atmosphere and I loved the food. I went back a month later and it was polar opposite. We were sat, and were not visited by a wait staff person for at least 15 minutes. We watched as the staff shuffled back and forth and whispered to each other as if no one knew who was supposed to be taking care of us and instead of someone taking the initiative and coming to us, they would just scramble around in the background and look and whisper. It made me uncomfortable but finally someone did visit. Later after we had ordered, it took 40 minutes for the food to arrive. I have never been so close to walking out on a restaurant as I was then. One plate did taste as if it has been microwaved but we were assured it has not been. The waitress visited us a total of 4 times in the hour and a half we were there. Once to get our drink orders, once to drop the drinks and get food orders, once to drop food and once to drop a check. I was allotted one glass of tea while I was there. Not once did anyone offer to refill our glass and the waitress was never back to ask if there was anything we needed. I will say that one person,(not sure if it was an owner or perhaps a manager) did offer to buy us a drink on our next visit. At that point I was very doubtful that we would be back. I understand being busy or having an off night but this was to much for one night and they were no where near THAT busy. But we did visit again. Over all the third visit was okay. Our waiter was very helpful. We did however have to wait for what seemed like a long time. AND they did something that I absolutely hate in a restaurant. Rather then bringing all the food out at once, they delivered one plate then 15 – 20 minutes later the second plate arrived. I felt that was very uncouth. Does the person who gets the plate eat? Its rude to do that but if they don’t their food gets cold. As long as that place has been there, they should know how to time it better for both plates to be served at the same time. I will be back, but probably not as often as I would be if I had a better experience. And if I have anyone in town, I would not take them.

I ordered the BBQ eel and the ½ price egg rolls for starters. Nothing special there. Kirin on tap was flat. Ordered a specialty roll and it took a good forty minutes to come out. It was decent but definitely not worth the wait. I noticed two other customers leave, they didn’t have the patience. While customers are leaving, the lady manager, maybe owner, was doing her liquor orders with a vendor at the bar. Who does their business with vendors, at the bar, while customers are walking out, at 7pm on a Wednesday night? The young man waiting on me was busting his tail. The lady«manager» needs to learn some business skills.

Go for the hot sake, the late night, the sleek space in town. Have a *spicy* appetizer(Salt and Pepper Shrimp’ll burn your cold off). If you’re not a purist, enjoy the whimsical rolls. Know that this is a place to have a little wiggle room(hot and sour sauce on a roll, sure! yellow fin tuna that bills itself as yellowtail, why not!) and don’t worry about the miso… Service was really great, and it was nice to be able to enjoy a later date than we might have been able to at other local restaurants. Overall, a good experience. Just don’t go for the sushi.

Took my daughter here for her birthday. The food was really good. The Martini was mediocre at best and the service was lacking. We will definitely come back for the sushi and large beer selection on draft.

The food was very good but the service was not good at all. We got there and waiting about 25 minutes for our appetizer to arrive and about 45 minutes later for our 6 sushi rolls and 2 kids noodles arrived. The wait for the food was way too long. My children were getting restless and hungry waiting for their dinner. I’m glad we ordered the appetizer otherwise we would have waited about an hour for our dinner. Not good at all.

My brother suggested we try Sake while I was in town for a visit. He and my nephews have eaten here before and enjoyed it. I love sushi. I was very disappointed. When we arrived we were told we had to wait for about 30 minutes to get a table that seats 6. Not unreasonable as it was a Saturday night at 6:30. Once seated, our server was very pleasant. We ordered appetizers and a Madori Martini and it was really good. When our pork dumplings and crab Rangoon’s came it all looked wonderful and tasted great. The problem started when it took over an hour later for our food to arrive. When it finally arrived, it was cold. My husband and I were the only ones that purchased a «box» and we still had not received out sushi roll. When the waitress came back over to remove them I was to upset to have it replaced asked for a bowl of stir fry rice like my sister had with chicken. At this point everyone had eaten their meal but me and all I had eaten was two pieces of the appetizer over an hour earlier. My husband had chosen to eat his cold. When my replacement meal came out, it was a bowl of noodles with grilled chicken on the top. I got up and walked out with my family sitting at the table so I wouldn’t make a scene with the owner. She gladly took care of the bill and only charged us for the Martini. We may give it another try when we visit the area again.

I looked forward to going to this place. Service wasn’t bad. However the food was mediocre at best. Its a college bar masquerading as a sushi restaurant. I felt robbed. Spent $ 100 with the quality of the local Chinese buffet. Drinks were ok. Service ok. Food not so great. Wasnt just an isolated incident. Food was just boring. Great presentation but wow disappointing. I can do better in my own kitchen. Not fresh tasted like very boring and American. Sushi should not be described as American. Even my lady’s fried rice was typical American long grain rice with no flavor. Nope. Never again. Go to Fuji.

Giving one star because we waited 3 hours for our food. The sushi was actually pretty good and they kept beer coming but many in our party ordered martinis that took 45 min and multiple reminders to get BUT3 hours for sushi is crap, we had to talk to the manager just to get our meals going, after 4 people in our party left it still took 2 hours… another heads up. do not order the judge parker it’s terrible

I’m giving Sake 4 stars because our first visit there was very pleasant. I really enjoy the décor/atmosphere; a bit different than the usual Ft Smith eatery. Our waitress was very attentive, and our $ 4 happy-hour martinis were better than I expected. I ordered the mahi-mahi tacos even though I was at a sushi restaurant because they sounded delicious, and I was pretty happy with them… EXCEPT for the quality of the corn tortillas. They could have been outstanding, but the tortillas were the quality you buy at the local discount grocery chain. We’ll definitely go back to experience the sushi, and hope to continue to give a 4 star rating; I’ve already shared with my friends that they should check it out!

Love this place. I go here with a girlfriend for a girls night out occasionally. The python, white samurai, and tornado rolls are some of our favorites. Ask for the secret menu,(it’s written on a piece of cardboard kept behind the bar) it also has some delicious rolls on it. Fantastic martinis, too many to list. Great upscale fresh sushi for Fort Smith.

I went here this last Friday with an old friend. I just recently moved to the area and really wanted to find some good sushi. We waited almost an hour for 2 rolls. I asked the server if the razorback would be really spicy as it comes w/jalapeños, she said that she doesn’t like spice and you can barely tell they’re on there. When the food finally did come it was almost too spicy to eat. So many jalapeños in there. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because she kept the drinks coming making the wait bearable. I won’t be going back here though unfortunately. Not the best sushi I’ve had. The server was sweet, but that doesn’t help the food aspect, and that’s why we went there.

I like this place for sushi and cocktails. BUT… the service here is usually pretty slow and indifferent. I never understand why some places don’t make taking care of the customer as high of a priority as they make the food. I do like the avocado bowl and many of the rolls.

Great service, good food. I was looking for fresh sushi, and it was hard to find a combination that didn’t contain fried something. This was definitely«Arkansas Sushi» with many rolls containing fried chicken or steak! I went for the Michael Mon roll and the Tornado roll and they were both tasty. It’s a good option if you prefer to avoid chains and sample the local finds.
