Bigg Hogg’s Baskets

I travel a lot for work and eat a ton of BBQ. These were the 2^nd worst ribs I’ve ever had. They were over-​cooked and slathered in BBQ sauce in an attempt to mask the taste and toughness, I assume. The service was good, baked beans were just ok, only part of the meal that was good were the French fries. I still had to give them a one star though since the main course should have never been served to a customer.

Great food, nice people, and great southern sweet tea. I had the pork sandwich but they let me try a few slivers of brisket and it was great. Tried some of my brother’s ribs and they were fall off the bone. Fries were fresh and they have season salt to put on them. Burger was great as well. Definitely coming back.

Absolutely amazing ! ! ! I took my kids for lunch on their day off from school and we all loved it. They are already asking to go back. We tried it based on the reviews and were very happy we did. The owner walked around and talked to everyone and made us all feel very welcome. We will definitely be going back

The sides were excellent however there was no smoke flavor to the meat. The staff was very friendly and it was a nice clean restaurant– just not great BBQ.

This is a small store front place downtown: very casual, plastic forks etc. That being said I got to go with 5 stars for the brisket, the BBQ sauce and the sides.
Brisket as tender and as juicy as I have ever had. A little bit of fat around the edges that only added to the flavor. The BBQ sauce has a bit of sweetness but not sugary at all and has a hint of kick that just lays on the back of your tongue. Excellent. Loved the cole slaw. Again, not sugary but a nice combo of mayo, sweet and a hint of tart. Potato salad also great.
Give it a try. You won’t regret it.

Excellent BBQ! I visited Bigg Hogg’s based on Unilocal!reviews and it did not disappoint.
The restaurant was very clean, with a staff that was extremely friendly and prompt.
The food was fantastic. I ordered the pork ribs basket with coleslaw and fries. The ribs had great smoke flavor and were smothered in sauce. It was great. The fries were also homemade and had great taste.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an affordable and great BBQ meal.

Absolutely delicious! What a gem! The food was amazing! I had pork ribs, French fries, baked beans and a sweet tea! Heaven for this southern lady. Service was fast and friendly. Sweet tea was refilled promptly. The place was super clean! And the food??? I have never found better! I was just passing through but will hopefully get that way again. Those ribs are something you just dream of! Go taste for yourself! Mmmmm.

I would have taken a picture of my food, but it didn’t last long! Absolutely made my taste buds happy!!! Wished I lived here so I could be a regular!!!

What an experience. I tried this place on a whim as its a relatively new restaurant with few reviews. Man was i impressed. The restaurant was basic but very clean as were the bathrooms. The server was quick and attentive. I got pork ribs, fries, and coleslaw. The food came out piping hot, the fries were fresh cut, and the coleslaw was awesome. The ribs were some of the best I’ve ever had! They were huge and falling off the bone tender. After talking to the chef, server, and owner, you could tell their passion for great food. I’m sure they will have a bright future.

Stopped in to pick up a slab of ribs just to find out that they no longer sell by the slab. This establishment is under new ownership and almost all meals come in a «basket». The restaurant is very clean and neat and we were waited on right away. The owner was on site and very friendly. He told my husband and I that the rib baskets came with 3 ribs and your choice of two items (fries, cole slaw or potato salad). We placed an order for two baskets to go and decided to split a burger while we waited. We visited more with the manager and he swore that we would change allegiance from our current burger place to his before we left! The burger came in a basket with fries, already cut in half for us. It was meaty, with just a crispy edge to the patty which was hand patted, not frozen. It had to have been cooked on a flat grill! The bun was fresh and lightly toasted and came with the garnishes we ordered. The fries were crispy outside and soft inside. I told the owner that he could make one improvement: make them «world burger» size! He was right. We believe this to be the best burger in town!
