Bartelsmeyer Jewelry is locally-​owned, family-​run business. We’ve done business there for the past 10 years or so. Our purchases include a diamond anniversary ring and a diamond watch, as well as some smaller items. In addition, I’ve had several pieces, both new and antique, repaired there.
FIrst and foremost, John and Cindy are people of the highest integrity. You can count on their honestly and trust their word.
John is a second– or third-​generation jeweler who knows how to make and repair jewelry… almost a lost art these days and certainly not something you’ll find on a shopping channel or in the mall. John also works on clocks and watches.
Bartelsmeyer Jewelry carries a variety of jewelry and watches for almost every occasion, taste and budget. If he doesn’t have what you’re looking for, he can order it. Or custom make it.
If you find a better price online, don’t hesitate to print it off and take in to John. He will do his best to match it.
Bartelsmeyer’s sells anniversary & ships clocks and Meyda Tiffany stained glass lamps. A few models are in stock, and almost anything can be ordered.
Other services include custom engraving, free gift wrap, and «wish list» gift registration.
Occasionally, John sells jewelry made by his daughter. She creates fun, casual beaded pieces using sterling silver, semi-​precious stones, and Swarovski® crystals.
In these times of reduced circumstances, John will occasionally help customers liquidate high-​end jewelry with the help of his contacts who specialize in estate & heirloom pieces. This service is offered very quietly and discretely.
After decades in a storefront downtown, a couple of years ago they built a stand-​alone store (with a parking lot) in the south-​central part of town. This new store has a private consultation room for those who wish to discuss large purchases in a setting that’s more private than the showroom.
The store is open Monday — Saturday and by appointment.
