Pre-fabbed hamburger patties are not great. The wings are good and have a variety of sauces. Slow service makes it an OK stop if you have an hour to spend

We decided to check out brunch on a Sunday at around noon and were one of about 2 – 3 tables at the time. It was pretty dead in there. Even with the lack of customers, it appeared that each table had its own server, which made the fact that ours seemed like she was in such a rush that much more perplexing. She stood directly in my path to my seat while she asked for our drink order. I am certain this was not on purpose, but how about stepping aside so I can sit down first? I asked for coffee and a water. My husband asked for decaf. They have no decaf. Wait, what? You have a coffee shop with an actual barista in your bar area and you don’t have decaf? When she brought out my coffee and I tasted it, it was then obvious that there is no collaboration between the restaurant and the Coffee Zone. I can honestly say this was the worst cup of coffee I have ever had(worse than even DFAC coffee while deployed). I am such a coffee addict that I can usually tolerate anything, but this coffee left such a bitter taste in my mouth that I excused myself and went over to the Coffee Zone and ordered a latte. Fast forward to our meals. I ordered the Greek omelet with a side of potatoes and my husband ordered the regular French toast. We had to laugh at it when it all came out because it was on these huge red plastic plates that were comically reminiscent of cafeteria trays. My husband’s French toast, while tasting like it should, looked limp, small and was sort of pitifully arranged on the plate in what was a seemingly weak attempt at presentation. My omelet was mediocre, slightly over cooked, while the accompanying pancakes were decent… but they were already buttered. Why? The potatoes were obviously out of a bag, pre-frozen and covered in salt. I will never understand why a restaurant feels the need to season food in this manner. Some things you just need to leave up to the customer. I know I sound like a gigantic snob, but I had much higher expectations than were realistic. I mistakenly thought a chef actually prepared fresh food here. I didn’t expect pre-packaged crap that appears to be thrown together by an assembly line. It is on the level of Denny’s or IHOP, and either of those would be a better choice because at least they let you butter your own pancakes and salt your own potatoes. To top off our experience, our server didn’t feel the need to check back in with us to ask if we wanted/needed anything else. She came back only to place the check on the table, as she assured us, «No rush.» Perhaps it was an off day but judging by brunch, the regular menu is probably more of the same caliber of food. Much of what I nit-picked about would be forgivable if only the food were actually good. I understand those employed here can only work with what they have, but whatever entity is responsible for this«restaurant» should be embarrassed. This was a seriously disappointing experience. At least the interior is nice, I guess.

French toast cinnamon roll!!! That’s all you need to hear. We went for brunch, Sunday morning. We split two plates the cinnamon roll French toast and the brisket skillet. Great choices. I’m glad I found a place to eat brunch down in southern AL while we’re here.

A few buddies and I went on a weeknight for dinner. There was no wait and the restaurant is nice. Sadly the service was terrible, despite having almost no other guests. It took 15 minutes to get a glass of water after reminding the waitress twice. I liked the food, the beer selection was good, but the service may keep me from ever going back.

Friendly, efficient service! The shrimp and grits lunch special is worth a shot and the meatloaf is awesome!!! Lunch specials are designed to get you good food– super fast, and the price is great. I just wish they would allow substitution of a vegetable for the rapid fire specials, sometimes a salad just isn’t what you’re in the mood for, ya know? All in all, a consistently great experience. Try the Bread Pudding one day, I generally avoid the stuff but this one is fabulous enough for even the world’s biggest bread pudding hater :-)

Service was good. Food came out very quickly after ordering. There were tons of choices on the menu. Prices were a tad on the high side. One really annoying thing were the flys. They need a better system to keep the flys out. Will return again.

Whether your stopping by for a quick bite during lunch or having a few beers this establishment is one of the cleanest places I have ever been too. The service is always amazing and there are always tables to be had. There are a vast amount of choices and there are nightly specials. I would recommend this place if your near by.

Once the old post O-club now bar an grill and event area. This place has great chow for a good price. Daily lunch deals and themed menu days like taco Tuesday and wing Wednesday. Superb staff and easy relaxing atmosphere. Good bar. But not open on Sat or Mon. Is open for brunch on Sun from 1000−2pm. Small but good brunch menu. I recommend the spanish omlet.

My husband and I went for Sunday brunch, and were very disappointed. First of all, we were seated and left unattended for at least 10 mins, with no sign of our server. My husband finally went to the bar to ask, and they said«we’ll go find her.» A few more minutes and our server, Amanda, appeared, and barely apologized for being MIA. Secondly, the music that was blaring during Sunday brunch is what I would have expected at a teenage girl slumber party. And finally, the breakfast wasn’t anything to write home about. My husband’s omolete was over cooked and and my food didn’t have much flavor. The best part of the meal was our Starbucks coffee by far. This was not the pleasant Sunday brunch we had in mind.

The first time I ever ate here was at dinner. I ordered a grilled fish and asparagus and it was awful. Then I came back for lunch and had the daily special. It was great. Ive been back a few times for the lunch specials and they’ve always been delicious so im not sure If I ordered the wrong thing for dinner or if it was an off day but overall a good place to get lunch. The black and bleu salad is to die for.

I have to admit I was surprised by the menu and the service when I stopped in. The lunch menu had a lot of choices, from burgers to wraps, salads and soups. We were suggested to get the fish tacos and they did not disappoint. The pulled chicken sandwich was pretty good but I actually enjoyed the brisket tacos even more. The side dishes ranged from fries and onion rings but included beans, mac and cheese and my personal favorites, cinnamon apples. For the price, the consistency of the quality of the food and the service, I would definitely suggest anyone at Ft Rucker stop by for lunch when they have the chance. I know I’ll be back again tomorrow.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. Food at lunch and dinner is very good. The fish and chips are the best I’ve had; the first tacos are excellent; and the ribs are delicious — no sauce required. in the last 6 months, I haven’t ordered anything that I did not thoroughly enjoy. Management really seems to care about their customers, and it shows.

I eat here for lunch several time a week. They have a number of flavorful burgers, though I keep coming back for the tacos. Black & Blue steak salad is also a good time. They have daily specials which are often pretty good(their meatloaf is great). I’m also a fan of the bbq sauce on the table– I put it on everything. I usually sit at the bar where Christa is always ready with a smile and excellent service. You go there enough times they can pretty much anticipate all your ordering needs. They’re also very accommodating to whip up something special when you’re in the mood for a change from the regular menu. You’ll have your plate quick, and the price is right. Also, join their points program and you’ll be working your way to free food, and be treated on your birthday(anytime in your bday month) with a free burger. Can’t forget about the breakfasts here– huge portions, awesome food, and you should try brunch at least once while you’re at Rucker, you won’t be disappointed.

We stopped by the landing to meet the hubby for lunch while on base. The hostess and waitresses were both friendly and full of energy. The menu was pretty straight-forward but there was a ton of variety. We had the chili, spinach artichoke dip, Hawaiian burger(special) and Alabama Pork Tacos. The portions are more than enough and everything seemed to fresh and hot. The chili was a little watery but everything else was great. This is a great alternative to have around over the fast food options on base! Oh and they brew Starbucks brand as well, Yay!

Technically the Landing Zone this bar and grille is located in «The Landing» building. Visited on Saturday and wasn’t aware that they closed at 2pm on Saturday and Sunday. They are open for dinner during the week. I was seating within one minute of arriving and had two different folks ask what I would like to drink within 30 seconds of sitting down. The staff seemed to be on their«A game». Ordered the Aviator Club(turkey club) with fries. Standard Club but it is served without Mayo. So if you like that you” have to ask for it or in my case, I was asked if I would like mayo. The turkey was nice and thick and had skin on as if it were a sliced turkey breast. The fries were hot seemed to be right out of the frier. Really liked the fact that they have the only local beer(Folklore) available on tap. Kudo’s!!! Actually they have ten different beers on tap plus, full bar, and when I went a Bloody Mary bar. The bartender was engaging without being imposing. Overall a very nice lunch.

If you are in Ft Rucker, this is the place to be for lunch, dinner and even happy hour! First off, it is very large, so there is no wait. Secondly the staff is awesome. You are seated and served immediately. We actually asked for the same server every time we went. You will never see the bottom of your drink. Best of all the food is actually quite good and inexpensive with different daily specials. We came here more than once during our 5 day stay. This definitely beats going off post and trying to find something decent to eat. We did not get to try the happy hour, but the bar is quite large and they did have several craft beers on tap. This is a must go to place.

Rucker.
