The manager, Jose, is extremely knowledgeable in all the aspects of the restaurant and company. The blueberry muffins are absolutely to die for. You can’t get better mac n cheese anywhere in town.

Good for families who can control how quickly they eat and leave since food is ready and waiting for you Serve your self and all you can eat allows you to eat little or way too much I went after reading reviews about many Vegetarian options I was disappointed Manager made it better The Manager came over as he seems to to each Customer He noticed and asked I said I thought more veggie options I also wanted to eat Pasta but could not because it had meatballs in the Sauce Richard The Manager personally made me Pasta without the meat and brought it to the table Manager then steamed Veggies for me! He said to always ask for them to be steamed in REAL steamer They steam veggies vs microwave in plastic which leeches into the rubbery veggies I appreciate Manager Richard giving great Customer Service with care and attention The woman clearing dishes and wiping tables was good as well

I enjoyed my experience at Sweet Tomatoes. It’s like the healthier version of Sizzler or Golden Corral. You come into the restaurant greeted by a huge bar that includes the ingredients to personalize your own salad. So many items to choose from and a few prepared green and pasta salads to choose from. Could I suggest the additions of chicken breast, artichoke hearts and edamame? At the end of the bar you grab your drink cup and utensils and pay your bill upfront. If you check in here on Unilocal, you get a coupon code for 15% off. So for an adult you’re looking at $ 12ish. Upon finding a table and filling up your cup with bottomless soda, you can hit up their soup, bread, potato and pasta hot bars. For dessert, you can have jello, sugar free chocolate mousse, ice cream sundaes or miniature ice cream cones(Those were my favorite!) I filled up my belly with salad and pasta and was satisfied and full – and didn’t feel gross! Great place for vegetarians and vegans too! I wish they had a Sweet Tomatoes in Ohio!

I’m only leaving one star for this restaurant so that I can voice a bit of constructive criticism about it. If you’re putting off an Italian vibe maybe you should have something other than a salad bar, a dessert bar, and a Soup Bar. In the area that was labeled hot pasta all there was, was a nacho station that had three day old stale chips and some crusty mustard yellow cheese. I was unaware that all of the Unilocal users were three year old children, but after going to this four-star review establishment I will hesitate to ever use this app again to find a place to eat.

Yummy! No one standout item(well, the udon soup was crazy good but that was on special) but a consistently good way to get some veggies into my kids while vacationing. Very kid-friendly– reminded me of college dorm eating, right down to the soft serve machine. Huge variety. Everyone left full for $ 35 for all four of us. We visit every time we’re in Florida/-what started off as a way to feed picky kids on the cheap has become a favorite stop. Sure, the«flatbread» looks like pizza’s also-ran little brother, but my kids loved it and it makes for a peaceful and fun meal. And the honey butter on cornbread is almost worth the carbs!

Sad to say, but this place has gone downhill in the past several months. We’ve been eating here for many many years and have always enjoyed it. But recently, it’s not as good. I think the management has been replaced.

Although much better and healthier than Golden Corral — on the day I went-1−8 – 16, I was let down. I have been to this location numerous times a few years ago and have always been extremely happy– so decided to come back today. It was lunch and the place was packed. The three lettuce choices included wilted, soggy, and empty. And that was just the tip of the iceberg(pun intended). Thinking that it was probably just bad timing– getting in the middle of a greedy crowd before the salad supervisor had a chance to refill– I moved on to the vegetables. Was pleased with the variety of choices– soy beans, peas, zucchini, squash etc. there were at least 20 different vegetable/legume choices– but no meat. I like a little ham or pepperoni on my salad– except for the bacon bits and egg bits– no protein– prefer the salad bar at Ruby Tuesday– just my personal preference. So I moved on to the soup– another let down– again probably bad timing– the big chunk chicken soup had been ravaged and pillaged into little shred chicken soup. I even went back a few times hoping someone would add the chunks that were being advertised but kept getting more salty broth. There were some vegan options– but I was craving meat! I think«vegan» is an old Apache word meaning«bad hunter»! Where’s the beef! And the potato salad– cook the potatoes! I guess on the day I went– was an off day– I will try again simply because I know they can do better!

We drive from Naples to eat here for Sunday breakfast. Well worth the drive. One of the best managers I’ve ever seen too. Thanks, Mr. You, for the great experience yet again.

You’re not missing anything here. We were desperate for something semi healthy and settled for this spot. Upon entering, we noticed that the 3 main premade mixed salad bowls were down to wilted and slimy pieces of unappetizing lettuce pieces. Which was a complete letdown since the Chinese chicken salad sounded yummy. Well until I saw that bowl. The employee working was busy filling up containers of toppings for the build your own salad options that those bowls must’ve just been an afterthought. I tried the Ratatouille vegan soup which was a letdown… it tasted like it was dumped out of a can. I did enjoy the baked good offerings. The corn bread was taste as was the fresh baked chocolate chip muffins. And you can’t go without having soft serve. Although my husband was bummed that vanilla wasn’t available due to the seasonal eggnog flavor. On the bright side, eating here is affordable even without a coupon. We paid $ 9.99/person for unlimited buffet. Also, the place is fairly clean and well staffed. There were employees constantly cleaning and clearing plates and tables so I will give them that. This isn’t the worst case scenario for somewhere to eat but also not the best.

What’s not to love? It’s a salad buffet with soups, breads, and pastas. You can’t go wrong with a visit to Sweet Tomatoes if you are ever down South. They do a lot of vegetarian and vegan options to please everyone. When you first come in, there is a big salad bar that includes the normal salad fixings to make your own or they have some pre-made options including caesar and tuna tarragon salad. I really enjoyed the harvest option that was a quinoa salad with walnuts and cranberries. Not much else to say about a salad bar besides my intense love for it and it’s variety of options. My absolute favorite feature is the soups and breads. There are always a half dozen to choose from. They have standard ones(chili and chicken noodle) and then they include seasonal options. I opted for the Kickin’ Chicken Chili and it was spicy and delicious. I also sampled the chicken pot pie stew that was almost overpowering with its amount of sage, but still very good. My mom was inhaling the cream of mushroom soup like she was starving. I like that they give you small bowls so you don’t feel committed to any one soup. You can sample all of them! You always need something to dunk in your soup and that’s where the great selection of breads come in. I prefer the buttermilk biscuits. They are warm and fluffy and buttery. Perfection for dunking in chili. They also make corn bread that has pieces of corn baked right in. It’s crumbly and not too dry. Another fan favorite is the dark grain bread that looks like it’s covered with twigs and berries. Not my favorite, but for the healthy folks out there, I’m sure it’s a winner. They also include a selection of focaccia breads that are basically mini-pizzas covered with melted cheese and other toppings. I’ve never tried the pastas(usually because I’m stuffed full of buttermilk biscuits) but they have someone manning three different stations which include alfredo, traditional red sauce and a third often changing variety. Sweet Tomatoes is better than your normal buffet. It doesn’t offer any fried food or seriously unhealthy options. It feels like you’re stuffing yourself with goodness rather than clogging your arteries with grease. The price is a little steep if you aren’t a senior citizen but for the amount of food, I felt like $ 11 for me wasn’t the worst. I would recommend avoiding the place between 2pm and 5pm because that’s when the seniors get a discount and it’s a madhouse!

Really enjoyed our meal. Excellent variety of salads, fresh veggies & drinks to start off. Corn chowder soup terrific. Breads were fresh and tasted homemade. Loved the brownies. Hubby liked the ice cream bar. Pastas were fresh n hot. Got a free pkg of cookies with a future 20%coupon to welcome us on our first visit. Can’t wait to return.

I am a big fan of all Sweet Tomatoes and this one is a great location. Very well replenished salad and hot bar. If you have never eaten at a Sweet Tomatoes then be prepared for the possible carb coma. It will be the absolute best salad bar you ever visit and you will then have your chance to pair it with one of the many soups. But then you could add a baked potato, pasta, mac and cheese, pizza and ice cream! My only complaint about the chain as a whole is the lack of protein. Personally, I like to have a equal amount of protein and carbs for my meals. So I have to load up eggs on my salad because there are no options like chicken or tuna. But I still go ALL the Time!!!

Disappointed, low quality and way overpriced salad and soup bar. not one piece of meat could be found in the whole place. I am not anti vegan or vegetarian, but for one it would be nice to know, that this is a «no meat» restaurant and more importantly, that it meets at least the lowest possible food quality standards. Their«from-scratch-soups» just make me scratch my head. There is no love in any of their food items, display or service and without at least a little bit of that love, no kitchen is able to create a quality product. But hey, as long as most other reviewers of this joint give them an almost perfect green thumb up, I might just understand what the world is coming to. Enjoy their offerings but be aware what you are in for!

I have never been disappointed with this place no matter where I’ve gone. Food is fresh and salads are replenished frequently. Build your own or get some of their prefixed ones. They have a pasta and soup bar, baked potatoes, some breads and offer some daily special made soup. It’s a buffet so you can seriously eat tons here. Desert is included and could be fruits, pudding, tapioca or self serve soft ice-cream. So you try to eat healthy yet you slop on ranch dressing and eat high fat pastas and go for the ice cream. LOL My kind of joint! There is a lot of space here but they still have to seat you during peak hours so you may have to wait just a little bit, but it’s usually not too long. I wish they had one closer to my home town in Washington State but they don’t so this was another treat for me. I would eat here more often if they were closer to me.
