Great local shop friendly staff, One on one service. Not a huge selection bust most everything you could want.

Not a huge selection of brands, but they only sell the good stuff. One on one help and good prices. Highly recommended.

Run Florida is a small, unassuming shop in a strip mall on McGregor. The hours are a little on the short side(10 – 6 M-Sa, closed Sundays, IIRC), but I shop there for one reason: The service. Period. Mike and Candy, the owners, are both incredibly good people(The second time I had ever walked in the front door, Mike loaned me a book out of his private library when I asked about buying a book on marathoning), and very knowledgeable about their products. Additionally, they stand behind what they sell — when I had a problem with an arm light band from Nathan(it had a loose connection in it, I suppose), they took it back without question. Their selection of shoes leans towards the runner-specific brands(Saucony, Mizuno, Pearl Izumi, Hoka One One, Altra, and Newton), but that’s fine by me; if I wanted Nike and Reebok, I’d be at Dick’s. This is a store for runners, run by runners. They know their stuff. Come in and ask them if you’ve got a question. Oh, and bring a dog treat or two — often, Mike brings Muse, their Jack Russel, and she loves attention :) Finally… they host a group run weekly. Meets at the Starbucks on College Pkway at 5:30AM on Saturdays, usually 4 – 6 miles at a 9:30-ish pace. Come along, it’s free!
