We had a good time on the Murder Mystery Train. It was our first time and didn’t know what to expect but it was fun. Everyone stayed in character and the food was good

Some might believe it is pricey but consider you are laying for the dinner, show, and train ride. Not often you get a chance to have all three in one. A unique and must do experience when in southwest Florida.

Ever since I moved to Southwest Florida I always wanted to check out the Murder Mystery Dinner Train and I finally did a month ago for my Birthday! My sister got the tickets in advance so I was totally surprised when we all arrived. What a fantastic time we all had! You can tell that every bit of detail is placed just right throughout the train. The 5 course meal was absolutely delicious and way better than I anticipated. I had the Prime Rib which I still crave. It’s yummy! And the salad dressing for the ceaser is delicious. The actors all were very professional and entertaining. I did not solve the mystery but I sure had fun trying! The Waitress that took care of us was attentive and made sure we were taken care of. She is Top notch in my book! During desert they did a happy birthday greeting and my desert came out with a candle lit. It was wonderful. The train ride is great, runs well and brings the experience alive. Great job guys! Lots of laughs, and it was very memorable. Thank you

The food reminded me of generic banquet hall food, but slightly more bland. The actors were hilarious & a really good time. I don’t remember the title of the show, but it was about bootleggers.

We had been seeing signs along Florida’s Turnpike for the past few months or so and had wanted to see what this was all about. This past Thursday we were in Naples for a mini vacation and decided to book this train. We were so glad we did. It is definitely something different and fun. They have this down to a science with the serving. They are very accommodating with meal choices(there are certain things I can’t have) and made sure I had plenty to eat. I do have to say the stuffed chicken(tasted frozen) was extremely dry but I didn’t say anything at the time. The show was very good, something to do on a rainy night. We will go again next time we are in Ft Myers.

True Story: I’m a board game junkie. That girl at a party who’s down too many whiskeys and in the middle of an intense game of battleship. That’s me. Challenge me, I will accept. My competitive nature really gets to me man, what can I say. Therefore when my friend Kelly made me aware she was buying us tickets to a five course meal and show that would resemble a live action clue game??? No questions asked. Take my money. All of it, it’s yours. It was a Sunday afternoon. Weather was breezy, the sky was dark, murder was in the air. I’m in my best Ms. Peacock ensemble, ready to rumble. They website will ask you to dress up, but don’t bother because I can assure you no one else will. Anyways the train(YAHBRO, A TRAIN) is located in Ft. Myers(about a two hour drive from Hialeah.) The appetizer was a basic crackers and cheese setup with some fresh fruit surrounding it. It was alright. Felt like maybe it had been sitting out too long? Crackers were kinda stale but muenster makes everything better. We ordered Sangria, which was absolutely rancid and I didn’t even care to finish the pitcher we got. It was that serious. Do. Not. Order. [The show has started at this point. Tensions are high…] Everyone was offered a potato cream corn soup and you then had the option of a fruit cup or a Caesar salad. I opted for the fruit cup while everyone I was with went with the Caesar salad. [Drama unfolds in the storyline] You had the option of three entrees– Teriyaki Salmon, Prime Rib and a Chicken breast stuffed with ricotta and spinach. I went with the prime rib. I’m normally not a meat eater, most especially such a fatty cut, but I was feelin some type of way. I ordered medium rare and my plate was cooked to perfection. The accompanying green beans and mash wasn’t bad either. My counterparts ordered the Salmon and a Chicken ricotta. Honestly, everything was pretty tasty. [Hubert Leclerc is found dead in his cabin. The plot thickens.] For dessert we had a key lime pie –violent eye roll– the graham cracker crust was just like ugh. I literally could not. It was so good. The pie itself was good, but that crust. THATCRUST. [Shit has hit the fan, everyone is tripping over this murdaaaaa. Who did it? WHO?] Overall, I rate this experience a solid 4. If the alcohol was flowing like the Nile and delectable, it would 5 across the board but lo and behold it was not. The food was decent, the show was good and the accents were terrible. But I loved it every second of it. (For the record: I solved the murder of the Moroccan Affair)

Good food, great service and wonderful entertainment. We drove over from Fort Lauderdale and took advantage of the Internet special and stayed at the Marriott Courtyard which was close by.

We had a great time. The food was good and the show was entertaining. Our servers were very good. We went in a party of 4, one of us had salmon. She loved everything she ate. One of us had the chicken and lived the added touch of the cranberries in the rice. My husband and I had the prime rib and it was very good. The meal ended with an excellent Key Lime Pie. Everything was timed perfectly so that you ate and enjoyed the show, with the food being hot. We each guessed a different killer and were surprised to find out who was correct. The only draw back was the price. It was a little high

This was a good one night experience for the family. The food was pretty good! My prime rib was dry but I think it’s bc my husband ordered the end piece. My kids had salmon which was decent. My husband had the chicken and it was GOOD!!! The crackers and cheese were good, bread was ok, soup would’ve been better if it was hotter, but key lime pie dessert was YUMMY The actors were older but we’re pretty good! It was a fun family ONETIME experience!

If you’ve willingly played Clue more than 3 times in your life, this could be the dining option for you! The initial mystery is not, in fact the murder, it’s the location of the train. Your GPS will probably direct you to a parking lot. Don’t turn around. If you see a building called, «Lee County Public Education Center,» then you’re in the right place. Simply take a left and follow the parking lot around to the side. Once you’ve gotten your bearings and parked, you can get your ticket and join the line of people. You will be seated at tables on the train, where you will stay for the duration of the trip. The food is decent, and there is no need to worry about choosing between eating and solving the mystery. You do both simultaneously! They serve the food in between the acts, but they’ll serve everyone in the car at once. Keep that in mind if you’re hoping to change your order. The salad was pretty mediocre, and the fruit was pretty typical. I ordered a mixed drink. Although the drink tasted good, the serving size was rather small. Because of that, I didn’t think the alcoholic beverages were worth the price. Once they bring out the soup, the show starts, but they, unfortunately take awhile to bring out the soup. I’m not sure if they use all of this time to give people extra time to catch the train or what, but I remember sitting there for quite some time. The actors, who move around between your tables, are wonderful and project their voices perfectly. They were funny and engaging, and the accents of the characters were very believable. Although you’re primarily passing through the woods, you will occasionally glimpse beautiful scenery. When they finally brought it out, I enjoyed the main course. They let you choose from 3 different options. I chose the prime rib with mashed potatoes, which I enjoyed even though I felt my ribs were slightly undercooked. Now, note that this lasts 4 hours. I didn’t know that going in and was unpleasantly surprised when the night kept dragging on.(I was struggling to keep my eyes open! I was too exhausted.) Overall, I enjoyed the show more than the food, but it’s still a nice experience. It’s definitely worth checking out one day if you have nothing to do or are looking for something a little different.

Received this as a late Christmas gift from my boyfriend. He reserved our place to see«The Great Gostby» murder mystery dinner train. We dressed up and checked in. We shared a table with a father and daughter and walked in to a cheese, crackers and fruit platter. Service was prompt and we received our drinks, a beer and mixed drink, pretty good, a bit pricy. When the train takes off it leads you along the railway through Fort Myers to Punta Gorda. The acts are performed through each train car with a course in between. We started with an assortment of rolls and bread. We were served a Caesar salad, fruit salad, then creamy potato lentil soup — which was Devine! Then the main course — Prime rib, mashed potatoes, and veggies, the food was to die for! Cooked to perfection! For desert we were served new year carrot cake and coffee, the coffee was delicious, as was the cake! I was pleasantly surprised at how awesome and fun this dinner train was — ohh and they offer bottle service to the table — which was great! The total trip time is about 4 hours, you get a lot for your money, four course meal and a show. I would recommend to anyone!

Food was thoroughly mediocre. Bland soup. Average Caesar salad. I got prime rib as the main course and I was served a flintstone sized portion of meat. It was fairly fatty and just not that great. Dessert was the only part of the meal I ate. The show was cute but nonsensical. There was no mystery to solve. Everyone got the answer right but only because there really wasn’t a choice. I really never was interested in it either. I would rather spend the money on a nice meal somewhere else.

Food was good. Especially considering they were feeding 200 people at once and on a train. But it was served over 2 hours. I was ready to eat again by the time we got done. The show was really poor. I attend a lot of performing arts and did not expect much considering the train limitations, but even my low expectations were not met. The whole ordeal lasted over 4 hours. We had 64 in our group and lots of us were talking about jumping off the train and walking back home. I heard one person said she liked it, but I think she was just being nice to the hard working employees.

Very cool murder mystery train ride lasts about 4 hours, includes appetizer, salad, dessert & excellent prime rib. Fish & chicken entrees also available but prime rib is yummy. Actirs are good, funny & very entertaining. At the end you try to guess who did it. One lucky winner gets a coffee mug. Go if you can, well worth it.

My husband and I really had a great time on the train last night! The gentle rumbling of the train and the atmosphere couldn’t be beat. The actors were so good and entertaining. Our servers Jo and Kirby were so attentive. I had the Prime Rib medium and my husbands was med rare, both were perfectly cooked. The whipped potatoes also were very good and my meal was hot. I will ride this train again, but bring friends to share it with!

This is the type of thing you do when you want to do something different. It’s a restaurant on a train, and they put on a little show. It’s an old train, and it’s very tight seating. A plus-sized person might find it uncomfortable [also the entire experience is 4 hours so if you suffer from hemorrhoids like I do, then it might get uncomfortable towards the end]. What happens is you board the train and order. As the train rolls along the wait staff serve the diners. In between courses some actors put on a little show. The food was very good considering it was cooked in a kitchen on a moving train. It’s a limited menu to make it possible. Precious got the prime rib, and she was very pleased. The soup was good. The appetizers were good. I got the chicken cordon bleu which wasn’t really that good. The dessert was a piece of cake which wasn’t that good at all. This was probably the only item that wasn’t cooked on the train. The wait staff was excellent. They had two people serving each train car which was probably about 40 people. That’s a lot of diners for only two wait staff, but they did a fantastic job. The limited menu makes this possible. One of the waitresses was kind of cute too. Jo was her name. Four actors acted out a short murder mystery. There were four cars so the actors had to act out each scene four times which can be tough so I appreciate their efforts. There probably isn’t very much money in it so the actors were doing this more because they enjoyed it than to seek fame or fortune. They did a great job. The play was the lamest, stupidest, most pathetic, tackiest play I’ve ever seen in my life, but let me tell you, most of the people really, really enjoyed it. At the end of the day, it’s a fun outing.

I went with a friend for her birthday just a few weeks ago and I was expecting it to be cheesy, with overly priced bad food… we experienced neither. The train was awesome really gave you that old train ride feel for an experience. The food was actually very good and the portions especially the prime rib were HUGE(see pics) ! The crowd was mostly older tourists or locals but there was a decent mix. The actors were great they really involve the crowd. The stories are funny and you really get into it when you are there. We got lucky sitting at table 7 cause we were directly in the middle of the train so each act was right next to us although the even numbered tables get a better view which isn’t much but we were there for the show not the view exactly. The best and only way to win is to take a lot of notes! Picking the right killer isn’t enough they want you to show you were listening so write clues down if you want to win. Overall this was a lot of fun and worth doing if you are in the area or just looking for something fun and out of the ordinary. It is a little pricey but well worth it for the 3 hour show and train ride, 5 course meal which is delicious and the service was awesome too the waitresses were on point all night we had no complaints. Make sure to tip the waitresses well not only did they deserve it for such a good job but by the looks of it most people didn’t and they should.
