Hubby and I got the two-person meal: soup, appetizer platter, a choice of two meats, side dishes, dessert and a bottle of wine it was so delicious. Lentil soup! Papa Dann bread and four different accompanying sauces. Appetizers platter, then the mail course Lamb Sag and Chicken Tikka Masala and homemade Nan… It was delicious. Great service.

It’s located in a weird spot behind other strip malls so you can easily miss it. It was pretty empty inside when I went for lunch. I chose to try the lunch buffet for about $ 11. The amount of choices is very minimal, there is 3 meats and 3 vegetables. There wasn’t any samosas or Nan. The quality of the food is just average. I feel it’s lacking some spices and flavor I’m use to. I’ve eaten home cooked Indian food and lived in Atlanta and NYC and have eaten some amazing Indian food. This place is not that. I’ll continue the hunt for Indian food in SWFL.

So, I wanted to introduce my girlfriend to Indian food and decided that this would be a start. Note that all the food was delivered and a request was put in to make the food extra spicy. The Garlic Naan was paper thin and it looked like the butter was just placed on it as it wasn’t evenly spread. I ordered the Lamb Bhuna for which the lamb should have been cooked to the point that it should fall off the bone. This wasn’t the case. The lamb chunks were not cooked properly and the sauce was not at all as described. Anyone can make a curry by adding in spices which is what was done here. The other item that I ordered was Daal Maakhani(lentils in sauce) which was decent and the only reason that I am giving them two stars. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Here is my 2 cents on the food and some chit chat. First the good stuff. If you ask for hot sauce the HOT sauce is really hot. I went for the buffet. Over all it was mediocre at best. I come from San Francisco Bay area,…Fremont, CA. They have a very large Indian population. In turn many eatery. So I know and have experienced GOOD Indian food. This is NOT. The food is just ok. You would not find many expats from India here. Chit Chat. They were 10 minutes late in opening. I seated myself. No one ask me if I wanted anything to drink. No menu was given. I did get water. The folks were cordial enough. The place was like a morgue in silence. Though there was 8 other patrons. I did not like this I will not be back unless someone pays for my meal. Buffet is about 12 bucks with free water.

I Usually don’t give out 1 star reviews. This place was very disappointing. I’m visiting the area and since there are not much indian cuisine choices anywhere, I ordered from there. My rating is based entirely on the food. I got the Non-Veg Dinner for One Chicken Tikka Masala — No taste, warm Chicken pieces were okay. Samosa — Ew. What was inside. It’s supposed to be potatoes and peas. This had seeds and stuff inside. I threw it out Kashmiri Naan — Dry, hard bread. Not supposed to be this dry. You could taste the flour and oil. I had 2 bites and threw it. Kashmiri Rice — This did not go well with the chicken tikka masala and did not taste good ATALL. Gulab Jamun — I’m pretty sure they took it out of a can and heated it up. It was hard and just bad. Mango Lassi– Only redeeming item I had from there. Maybe it was because I was thirsty. Vegetable Soup was awful too. Very disappointed. I love indian food and this was something I’ll never come back to. Packaging for takeout was bad too. Spend some money getting bags and proper containers so that It’s not in a cardboard box spilling everywhere with loose packaging. I ate only the Chicken tikka masala and mango lassi and I wasted $ 30. Good riddance.

Their vegetarian dishes are totally excellent. I love their Malai Kofta and their Saag(or is it Palak) Paneer. These are my two go-to dishes. Pair either with some garlic naan, and you’ll have one of the best vegetarian meals you can get in southwest Florida. The atmosphere is nothing too special. It is a little dark and often feels empty for the large space that they have. But the large size of the dining area makes it a good choice for a large group.

Coming from Ft Lauderdale this past weekend, and having Indian food already, our taste buds still desired the curry and masala and naan bread. Our first time here, though it’s not the same as the other place(no place really is) the flavored are all there. The spices, the flavors and the preparation. Four stars and yeah, I’d come back. They wifey and I love our naan
