Grand Illusion

Grand Illusion Design & Art Gallery is a one-​of-​a-​kind shop that dazzles yah with original art, sculpture and T-​shirt (silk screen and pre-​fab). The partners are Shari Shifrin and George Settos, the latter being the resident artist. Shari handles business matters, is the genius creative leader and likely can build any event program for an interested co-​op artist, designer and such. The Grand Illusion appears to a walk-​in customer (like me) to be small but George and Shari have a vast backroom where art, painting and other «grand illusion» work is done. I spent time discussing rock ‘n roll art with George and the T-​shirt business. You can send them a personal photo and they’ll have it put on a T-​shirt. Me? I selected a T-​shirt that George applied a special color ink to using Block Type Wood Stencil; pounding the color into the shirt with his own original saying (s) that hand on a peg board. These are two Midwest folks who understand personal service and they serve up their own brand of gregarious talk — really enjoyable.
