This is a review for the FGCU aquatic center, aka the pool! The sun is shinning and the pool is cool. Don’t get me wrong I love that it is outdoors, but in the state of Florida we have more than our fair share of thunderstorms. There have been many times I go to swim laps and have to get out for the lightning bell. I appreciate the alarm but whenever it happens I think how nice it would be to have an indoor pool so this would happen all the time. Other than this little rant I love swimming laps here and there’s always lanes open when I come in the mornings.

Home of the FGCU Eagles men’s & women’s basketball, and women’s volleyball team — Alico Arena is one of the finest mid-​major sports complexes in the entire country and also the location for what is probably the best entertainment value for your dollar in Southwest Florida.
FGCU fields very competitive Division I athletic teams who often face some of the top schools in the country. Michigan State, Indiana, Miami, Seton Hall and DePaul are recent guests to Alico.
The atmosphere is outstanding in the arena with the Dirty Birds, FGCU’s very loud and rowdy student section, leading the way. Great seating arrangement with around 4,000 seats plus four or five suites.
All in all — a first-​class facility.
