Fat Katz is awesome. Just had another great meal with awesome service. This is a gem. My son got the big fish sandwich and loved it. Their fries are awesome too. They always have awesome specials too. I always try something different on the menu and have never been disappointed. Finally, the servers are really good. Perfect mix of attentive without bothering you. They know what they are doing here.

A longer than expected stop We were heading south on I-75 and wanted to visit a non-chain restaurant along the way. Fat Katz had lots of stars and it was right on the way. Our visit didn’t go as well as we would have liked. After ordering it took a good 25 minutes for our food to arrive, not so good when you want to get back on the big road. After looking at the menu I selected a burger called Crazy Larry’s, a crazy mix of ingredients including peanut butter, goat cheese, and cranberry relish. Turned out it wasn’t particularly good. I had hoped the cranberry relish would stand out and add a fresh tropical sort of flavor but instead what was memorable was the peanut butter and goat cheese, which together made a sticky mess. The bun was not up to the task either. That was my experience and taking a chance on Crazy Larry’s burger was my choice. My wife raved about her Cuban sandwich. I raved about the fries. They have seating both inside and out, we opted for outside. Not long after we sat down it started to rain — hard — and that entertained us while we waited for our food. Overall service was friendly but slow, in addition to the long wait for food there were other waits for a drink refill and when paying our bill.

Trusted Unilocal again for a lunch run after dropping someone off at the airport. Wanted a burger and was not disappointed. I had the Western burger and my husband had a cheesesteak. Both were good made with quality meats and the ratios were right. Only glitch was the listed price of my beer and what was actually charged for my beer($ 1.00 difference). This was quickly corrected by our lovely waitress.

This place was a nice find for a couple of out-of-towners. Friendly staff and great burgers. The beer selection was a huge plus. Would definitely stop by again!

My girlfriend and I are here in town for an event this weekend. She looked up reviews and thought this would be a nice place to try getting a bite to eat. The restaurant itself is a small place, seems more like a locals spot. It was very clean inside, many tvs inside to watch sporting events, and all waitresses were super friendly. We ordered a Hawaiian flat bread for myself, and my girlfriend ordered a cuban sandwich. Food came out in a timely manner and it was all freshly made. while the flat bread wasn’t bad, it didn’t blow me away… my girl enjoyed the cuban sandwich, she said the pork was very fresh tasting. Total bill for the meals, 2 beers, and a soda was reasonably priced. If your around the area and feel like having something better quality then fast food, but different then all the chain restaurants. Give it a try.

Wow. This place was quite a find! I had the shrimp BLT(blackened) and it was so, so good. Great sauce, good amount of shrimp and delicious bread. Also subbed the onion straws($ 1.50) and it was definitely worth it. Saw everyone around me ordering the white hot shrimp so I asked for a side of the white sauce and wow, so glad I did — I put some on my sandwich, which only made it better. Just an FYI — beer and wine only. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area.

If you are staying by the airport this spot is a real gem. Great craft beer selection and burgers so big you can barely fit them in your mouth. Complete satisfaction. I ate here twice in the same day.

On the way from Fort Myers International Airport, we stopped by Fat Katz to have a quick lunch shortly after 1:00PM. Fat Katz is located on the SouthEast corner next to Cracker Barrel. Inside tables were full and we sat under the covered patio. We have Blue Moon to start. For lunch, we have the Cheesesteak, just rib-eye beef with onions, peppers with American and Provolone on Amoroso roll. Sometime I add mushroom but today, I did not ordered mushroom with it. As usually, it is tasty! We also have the Cobb Salad, a mix green salad with chicken breast, pineapple, raisins, goat cheese, tomato, onion and cilantro. With fine weather, a little breeze under the patio and friendly service, it is an enjoyable lunch as usual.

Went there for lunch on two different occasions. I liked it both times. Once had the 911 burger which was delicious! The second time I ate the fish and chips. Was very good as well. The burgers are a little pricey but very tasty! Definitely will be back.

Food is great, but if you are on your lunch break or need to get to the airport be aware that Fat Katz is slowwwwww. Four of us went for lunch. We didn’t order anything out of the ordinary — 2 Reuben sandwiches, a chicken Caesar salad and a burger. Took 50 minutes from the time we ordered to get our food. Granted this is not a chain restaurant but that is not acceptable unless you are retired and have plenty of time to sit there for way over an hour. Maybe calling and ordering before you get there would help? Will try again after the snowbirds leave.

We are staying in the Comfort Inn that shares the parking lot(sort of). We just got in from Captiva and needed a place to crash until our flight the next day. So we asked the woman at the front desk if they had a place in mind that we could try and she mentioned Fat Kat’s. Stated a previous guest went there and said it was the best burger he’s ever had and that it was a much older gentleman. So we said why not. We walked in and were greeted by the girl behind the bar and told we can sit anywhere we’d like.(Around 2pm for time reference), so we did. Teeya was our waitress. Menus were already on the table prior to her coming over so we got a head start on looking. We aren’t from the area, so we asked her to recommend something to us. She let us know that they’re known for their burgers, but one of her favorites is the fish tacos. We saw a burger on the menu that really caught of off guard and that’s because it has peanut butter and cranberry relish on it! It’s called the«Crazy Larry» and it’s AMAZING. You smell the peanut butter but it’s not overpowering whatsoever. The cranberry relish is also, awesome. We did opt out of the caramelized onions and tomatoes, but we did not miss out on the taste. It’s definitely worth it. We also ordered the«Meat Lovers Flatbread Pizza» and they aren’t stingy on the toppings and cheese. Beautiful is the best way I could describe it. Service was 5 stars and the food was 6 lol.

I went to Fat Katz for a casual lunch with a friend on a workday. It wasn’t busy at all, so we were able to pick whatever table we wanted. They do have a nice outdoor seating area that I would suggest when the Florida weather is participating. We ordered the hummus as a starter and the Fat Katz flatbread to share. The hummus itself was very well seasoned and tasted great! My only complaint was that the ‘pita’ strips weren’t fully cooked. They had fried them, but some of the strips were still a little soggy/soft. If you’re going to go crispy… don’t let there be sogginess! The flatbread was pretty good; I’m glad we split it. It’s not a huge portion, but enough to split after you’ve had an appetizer to share. I’m not wildly impressed by this place… but I don’t have any major complaints.

Was on my way to an ever blades game and my party wanted to eat at Fat Katz. My only other experience here was on a Friday night with a marginal experience. But although last night the place was the same, the experience was different– I felt like the plane was the same but that I got an upgrade to first class! So I have to update my first review. The place was slower– 5:45 pm and the service this time was stellar! Smiles, menu explanations and returning numerous times to ensure we had everything we needed. The food was also an upgrade compared to my first experience. The NC wings were great– plump like little poodle legs instead of thin like hooters wings. The short rib quesadilla was moist and tasty with sour cream and fresh salsa– excellent! The drafts were $ 2.00 for domestic beer in a frosted 16 ounce glass! Highly recommend! The reason for not adding a star to this review is because I had the black beans and white rice. Somewhat of a let down– the rice was undercooked and a little crunchy — but the black beans with chunks of ham and onions were tasty! I’ll be back– I guess giving a place a second chance after a marginal first impression pays off once in a while.

This place is always delicious! Try the white hot shrimp! To die for! The blackened shrimp blt is outta this world as well. They also have a fresh daily cheesecake, was luck enough to get the«drumstick» once once… I’ve craved it ever since. Service is usually prompt and the servers are always super friendly. The restaurant used to be a Starbucks, and you can still see that, but I think the minimalistic décor is refreshing. A true hidden gem of fort Myers, definitely give it a shot!

Sports Bistro, huh? Color me intrigued. Turns out, Fat Katz ain’t just another all-‘Murrican, flat screen mecca, despite its location near the Harley dealership and a Cracker Barrel. This indoor/outdoor burger and beer barn offers craft cuisine, from a proprietary blend and house made brioche buns, to hand cut, well seasoned fries and a fairly comprehensive brew list. Knowing my dining companions would load up on enough aforementioned fries to sample, I grabbed a blackened prime rib sandwich with a side Caesar. Smoked Gouda and roasted red peppers cooled the crust on the sandwich, ample in portion on the house made focaccia. A bite from the wife’s bacon cheeseburger confirmed the patty’s buzz — this blend is legit. Service is swift and attentive, so between the killer food and the never-empty glasses, you’ll quickly see past the odd décor and the painful play on the English language.* *Less K’s and Z’s, Fort Myers.
