China Inn

I have ordered here a few times. Food is pretty good, and doesn’t feel like a just drank a bottle of grease. Plus, they deliver to San Carlos, so when I’m having a couple cocktails at home and lose interest in cooking/​driving, well, it’s pretty great.

Typical Chinese food spot, some items better than others. Awesome $ 5 lunch specials till 4. If you decide to pick-​up its always faster and the foods ready when you get there. Delivery sometimes takes a while, keep in mind they have 4 people on staff including the driver. Its a solid go-​to choice.

This place is the exact same as every other Chinese joint crammed in a small plaza. Mediocre food with a grumpy, rude, no business ethic Chinese person at the counter. Sadly, the only place I’ve found that is extraordinary is all the way in Naples.

We’ve ordered from here many times and never had a problem before… the food has always been good… Which is why I’m so disappointed with our experience tonight! We placed an order for delivery when we got home from work. this was at 6:15pm. An hour later, we still hadn’t received our food, so we called them and they said they were very busy and assured us it was on its way. Another 30 min went by, still nothing. called again, they still just said it was on its way… TWO FULL HOURS went by before our food was finally delivered. It wasn’t warm anymore and to top it off, they forgot half of our order! By that point we were starving and now missing half our food that we waited 2 hours for. We called AGAIN and they assured us they would deliver the rest of our order right away because they were «not busy anymore.» That was at 8:15pm. It is now 10:30pm and they literally JUST delivered the rest of our order right now… after calling to ask if we still wanted it. Aka trying to get out of coming back out, after waiting another 2+ hours! They offered no apologies, no explanations, no refunds, nothing. I really have no words for how ridiculous this all is, but sad to say we will NEVER be ordering from China Inn again.

This restaurant is in the plaza with Grand Bay Publix. I had never been here before, but wanted a quick bite so tried it. It had about 4 tables and it was fairly comfortable so we ate there. I thought what we had, chicken with broccoli, was very good. Would do it again and maybe try something else next time.
