I contacted Allied Roof Cleaning proactively based on a newsletter that my HOA sent out asking homeowners to have their roof cleaned to avoid penalties. Their sales process is quite advanced as they send you digital documents to e-Sign. Their website states that they use a cleaning technique that will have the least harm to your roof /house. They put in a lot of legal jargon in their documentation that most homeowners will miss to read, but eventually comes back to bite you later. The biggest issue is that after they are done cleaning, you will notice all your plants and grass dying below. This is due to the toxic chemicals that they use during their cleaning process. None of their sales people told me about this during the sales process. But afterwards when I found out and when I asked them about it, they say that they explain it all in their contract and that I did not read it so it is my fault. They say that they were upfront with me that they use toxic chemicals to do the cleaning. No one had told me that I would be dealing with this additional cost of replacing plants and grass as I did not budget that into my cleaning costs. But its a little too late now. Hopefully I can help out future customers by warning them of this. I will give you this much. The roof does look clean after they are done. So if you are ok with this side effect, then go ahead and hire them.
