Darling shop in Ft Myers Beach. It isn’t too far from Time’s Square to just walk from the public beach. Bike rentals are next door and we can eat lunch on the second level at Hoosiers up above. We often vacation in FMB and I always stop in to see Carla, the owner. This is unique and so much better than the tacky tourist trap shops you so often see. Everything in the shop is unique and she carries local artists’ work. Something new while vacationing last year was her Chalk Painting classes. My friends and I took our first class while down there and we learned so much! I have since taken more classes on subsequent trips to the beach. Carla carries the most lovely colors of chalk paint that I cannot find back up north. Fortunately, the paint is easily shipped to my home in Indiana. We are heading back down in a couple months and I am eager to visit with Carla and her husband Peter, who is a local island realtor, and has helped out so many people to find special island and in-​town property for sale. This is my go-​to shop to ask questions about what is going on locally while my family and I are down visiting. It is also dog friendly (for friendly dogs!) and I can bring my dogs in with me while walking by.
