In town for the weekend and we were looking for a seafood dinner with a view. We should have kept looking. We dismissed our initial first impressed left by our snappy server Aly in hopes that our dinner would make up for it. Eight diners and the only one that was able to actually consume a portion of their meal was the non-seafood water who had angel hair pasta. I had the crab cakes which I could only compare to a frozen Gordon’s fisherman entrée. The server picked up our eight plates with only one-two bites and didn’t have the common sense to even ask if we had an issue with our meals. All and all probably a better seafood dinner would have been had at a Long John Silver. I don’t know if it was just this location but they won’t be getting my business again.

I’ve been debating how to review Pinchers since eating there tonight. It’s basically Chili’s with seafood. By that I mean a chain restaurant, with mediocre food. Is it good, yes, does it make you want to tell all your friends to eat here, no. The conch fritters were generally tasteless other than the delicious dipping sauce they came with. Since I was paying for seafood, I wanted to taste it. My wife and I had the black grouper(not gulf grouper) entrée, it was just between ok and good. Nothing wrong with it other than consistency, my fish was much larger then my wife’s and her’s had a lot more blackening on it than mine(we ordered them Blackened). The atmosphere is very lively and up beat. We enjoyed our time there; however, in the end it didn’t leave us wanting to come back. If you’re looking for good seafood go elsewhere, if you’re looking to have few beers and seafood, then Pinchers will suffice.

This place was horrible. I mean. Really. Bad. We paid over $ 140.00 for a meal that was hardly worth $ 30.00. But you live and learn. I shall never be back there again.

Oysters at the bar during happy hour. Heaven on earth. Drinks great too. Enjoyed so much went back another day for some more. Bartender very nice and attentive. Who can pass up .75 an oyster. I’ll have another dozen thank you If you catch your own fish and it is cleaned they will cook it anyway you want.

If you follow my reviews, you’ll notice I’m a big fan of the happy hour… and a bigger fan of a happy hour that also includes great seafood! Yep, between 3p-6p you have your choice of .75¢/each — clams, oysters, shrimp or wings. I have one word for you when it comes to Pincher’s happy hour… oysters! We stopped on our way back from Sanibel and proceeded to demolish a dozen raw oysters EACH! In addition to the great happy hour deal, drinks and taps are 2-for-1 all day, every day. We loved Pincher’s so much that we left a little extra time on our way to the airport to have those oysters before leaving the beach!

The waitress & staff friendly. The drinks were yummy and the atmosphere fun. The food was good but the crab legs were«just okay». I was really surprised by this. We will definitely go back.

Pinchers was awesome! I had a dozen oysters which were fantastic and a pound of snow crab legs. The crab legs were perfectly cooked. The meat pulled right out of the shell. Buy one get one drinks, great happy hour, and kids eat free. It’s a go to place for seafood.

¼/16. Well, I see some latest reviews were good and that is why we tried it – but. We both had the fried soft shell crabs. Crabs were tough and chewy. The fries were old, cold, and rubbery. The Cole slaw was bland. On the good side, happy hour Marquitas were good. Key lime pie and service were good. We will try other places

I can only judge Pinchers by their chowders, and they are fantastic. I think they might be a touch overpriced(as were the conch fritters), but you can’t deny the flavours and the consistency. This is good, stick-to-your-ribs chowder. Can’t comment on anything else… maybe next time.

Before I even arrived at fort myers, all I wanted was to enjoy a crab cake. Pinchers you did it right! I ordered the crab cake sandwich. Everything about it was delicious. Tons of crab… delicious bun! My boyfriend ordered the shrimp Alfredo. Shrimp was fresh and delish! We came at happy hour were they had 2 for 1 priced beers!

First stop in Fort Myers Beach — have to say, we were a little worried bc it was a hotel bar/restaurant but very pleasantly surprised! We got the fish tacos with baked beans and broccoli(soooo good), half dozen oysters and grouper sandwich. The fish tacos were excellent and so were the oysters. BF got the grouper sandwich which he was very happy with. Rain came down at the beginning and the servers were great about getting everyone indoors. Would definitely go back.

Our first time here. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. She was very helpful and had great suggestions. We ordered shrimp scampi angel hair pasta. It’s delicious. I loved the taste. Needed a little salt. But it was yummy. Crab claws. Fried shrimp platter. And grilled shrimp platter Everything was great. Really enjoyed it. It is a little pricey. So expect to spend some money.

Kids eat free was what brought us into Pinchers tonight. We were seated quickly and the service from our server, Liz, was spectacular! She was friendly, cheerful, and patient with our gang(mostly children). Liz was attentive in every way. She was accurate with our orders, kept our drinks full, and checked up often but not annoying. Just Great. Our meal? I’d say average, especially for the prices. We ordered: Blue Crab cheese dip — excellent Hush puppies — fair Smoked fish dip — had a kick and was fair Kids popcorn shrimp were a hit Fried Shrimp Platter — disappointing Fish n Chips — even more disappointing I’m giving this place 3 stars because the service, atmosphere, and kids eat free special was great, but if I were just judging the food, it would be a 2. The food was overpriced, messy, and not that great.

Cool location right on the marina. A little northeast of actual FT Myers Beach, but I think its fine. Seafood based mainly with the bar food twist. Big open scene with views of the marina. Great for big groups, or drinks.

We had the best dinner tonight! We have been here before and it was good, but tonight was out standing. We had shrimp tacos and the lump crab Alfredo and we had one land lover who had buffalo chicken, not one complaint in the group. Everyone loved it. Our waitress Terin, was awesome just involved enough not over hovering and yet we waited for nothing. We will return again.

It was just awful. My husband and I both left hungry after paying our $ 70 bill. I ordered the crab legs and they were so over cooked they literally crumbled as I removed them from the shell. My husband didn’t like what he got either. Just an awful chain restaurant. Will never go back.

For a seafood restaurant near the beach, the food wasn’t much to write home about and it was incredibly expensive. We were visiting from Maryland and went on our«kid-free» date here. It was loud and that was expected, lots of kids running around which was annoying but that has more to do with the parents than anything the staff can do. Not impressed by the broiled scallops but the blackened mahi was good.

Ate there last night. We were a party of four, including a first cousin I hadn’t seen in two years and our spice(plural of spouse). My rating is heavily weighted by the service of Olysea. We were at the table for about 3.5 hours, mostly visiting. To be sure, our drinks, the shrimp and clam dip appetizers, my stone crab claw, our various entrees and the key lime pie were all good. But we really appreciated the length of our stay and Olysea’s service. We tried to make up for her loss of tip revenue with an extra-large tip. She was gracious throughout and took a few excellent pictures for us. As for the customers still waiting for tables when we left: Oh, well!

Not good not bad. So many other good restaurants in the area. Very casual décor nice view of backwater. Don’t think fine dining. Paper table covering. The seafood is fresh but décor puts me off

We frequently visit Pinchers when we are in town because it’s within walking distance of where we stay. The food is ok and service is usually decent. Last night, we planned to eat there after coming in town, knowing it would be very busy for valentine’s day so we decided to use their call ahead seating option. We called over and were told to call 30 minutes before we planned to arrive and that the current wait was about 60 minutes. We weren’t planning to go right then so we called back about 30 minutes later to put our name on the list. We were told the wait was about 45 minutes at the time and to show up in 30 minutes. That was perfect, as we assumed that would mean a 15 minute wait when we got there. We arrived and checked in only to be told our wait was 45 minutes… what?!? I questioned how that was possible and was told that our wait time doesn’t begin until we show up. I told the hostess that didn’t make any sense because that means the 30 minute call ahead seating didn’t do anything for us. She said it still put us ahead of people who were showing up right then. Somehow the whole thing doesn’t seem to work out. We put our name in when there was a 45 minute wait via phone but still were supposed to wait 45 minutes once we arrived. The point of call ahead seating at every other restaurant is to get your name on the list at the time you call. Apparently Pinchers doesn’t understand how this works… While I will return to Pinchers because of its convenience, I certainly wouldn’t bother with call ahead seating. We could have walked over(and put our name in instead of calling) then gone back home for 30 minutes to wait. That way we would have only waited 45 mintes total instead of 30 minutes at home and 45 minutes at the restaurant. And no, we did not stay because I was too annoyed to give them my business that time.
