Great ice cream with a wide variety to choose from. Great old-fashioned restaurant. Outside seating so you can feel the breeze from the ocean. I great place to get a treat from when in Ft. Myers, especially at night. A great place to relax and focus on the deliciousness of your ice cream. Located next to a pizza place.

Tourist ice cream: we’ve all done it. It is nothing famous or fantastic. And I do not believe there were 2000 flavors available. Oh well. Just some classic ice cream while walking around north Ft. Myers beach. BONUS: I got to see the local youths get in a fight across the street. Woohoo.

Yummy ice cream! I usually either get the chocolate peanut butter or the maple walnut, and my husband always gets the cookie dough chocolate chip ice cream. It’s a small spot, and looks old… but it’s usually at these hole in the walls where we have tasted the best foods. This is our go-to ice cream place on the beach so far!

Great little ice cream place near the beach, connected to a pizza joint. The pizza next door is awesome and the ice cream is a perfect compliment. Lots of flavors, outdoor seating, and a refreshing experience. Bring your pizza receipt for a discount.

A nice little ice cream shop right off the bridge in Fort Myers Beach that does not, sadly, house 2,000 flavors of ice cream. I feel so misled! The inside looks a bit worn and even messy. Definitely not an old school styled ice cream parlor where you can sit inside and enjoy your sweet calories(but then again, its by the beach, so why be inside more than you have to be?). Some of the flavors look a little… funky(i.e., questionable usage of artificial colorings). I’d say stick to the more natural ones. The cappuccino chip is super yummy. I loved the display of antique ice cream scoopers all along the walls — very neat!

Funny enough most people around here rate Kilwins high and this place low… and I’m the opposite. I prob won’t return to Kilwins and will eat here again. All in all… the place looks a little run down and not shiny and clean however The ice cream is great. Multiple cone options, tons of different flavor ice creams… and I couldn’t put my ice cream down. My husband and I shared a cone and poor guy didn’t get much of it. :) We had the Rocky Road and we were both fans. It’s plain old good ice cream, good prices, and the staff was nice.

This is the kind of ice cream shop that manages to stay open because it’s directly on the beach and tourists are willing to pay the price. As already stated by other reviewers Mr G’s is more of an apartment of 20 flavors than a house of 2000. The flavors offered are standard as is the quality. So far average. Average selection. Average quality. But what knocks Mr. G’s from three to two stars is the price and customer service. It’s no surprise to pay a premium to eat or drink anything directly on the beach but the employee at Mr G’s wasn’t just disinterested he acted like my wife and I were disrupting him. This kid was visibly upset he had to stop watching videos on his laptop to deal with me. He was rude while my wife and I placed our order and went right back to his laptop as soon as the transaction was complete. I don’t expect anyone to kiss my ass just because I bought a scoop but if you act like you don’t want me around then I won’t be coming back.

I thinks it’s more like 2000 combinations but had a tasty butter pecan waffle cone, there’s a DQ right around the corner from this place if your looking for something more commercialized.

House of 2000 Flavors? I think they were short about 1980 flavors when I went, because they had only about 20. The ice cream itself was nothing to write home about, but it was ice cream on the beach, so that will always taste good. And there was something really nice about walking out into the sand with an ice cream cone. It was pretty inexpensive, too. About $ 7 for two cones and a bottle of water.
