If you have to spend the holiday in the hospital, you probably can not find a better one. A lot of small community hospitals can be quite limited on service and hospitality. Not here. The staff is incredibly friendly, caring, and good with not only their patients, but the families also. Some of them seem to be just like family as caring as they are. They also do a great job caring for medical needs and they are up to date on more modern care from what I have seen. Other things that set them apart, free coffee, free newspapers, very modern rooms, cafeteria with GOOD food at a reasonable price, no one leaves the room without asking everyone if they need something, computers in the rooms to make sure the patient’s charts are up to date, and a ton of other things. Based on some not so great experiences in this area of the country with care of a loved one, I am so happy that the loved one is at FMCH this time, with the exception of being home.
