The ladies who work here are always so nice. They consistently do great work and are quite accommodating about deliveries. Arrangements are carefully constructed and have these hidden support wires that make the ensemble last longer than others I’ve experienced in the past. The store is pretty neat as well, everything a florist should be.

What a wonderful experience. First of all the prices are great! The service was fantastic! And the staff are knowledgable not only about their floral business, but quite expert at assisting you with their website.
They went out of their way to ensure that my order was delivered the same day, even though I had missed the cutoff time. And, everybody was extremely courteous, kind, and patient.

Since 1977, this has been one of 2 Florists in the area that my family has done business. The other being Ritters. When The Greenhouse & Flower Cottage opened in 1977 in the obscure olocation of Avenue B. We thought it an odd location, but hey — why not. Though we still patronized Ritters alot, this new business was a breath of fresh air, and added competition and with it, more variety. In the 80s, it would become our family’s flortist of choice. They have always provided great service and personal attention.
In 2007, they did a fantastic job providing floral service for my mother’s funeral. They were very helpful us pick out the right arrangements.
I think their move to downtown Ave G is a nice way to help revitalize the downtown. A florist is like a foundation shop in a town — it is a sign of a living community. Something the area so desperately needs to foster and care for if it is to have an future. The Flower Cottage is now part of the Fort Madison Tradition and I encourage everyone in need of floral services to patronize them.
