This small airport is located on Ft. Leonard Wood, which makes it ideal for many soldiers/​family members who need to get there without a longer drive from St. Louis, Kansas City, or Springfield. It’s the smallest airport I’ve ever flown to and therefor had the smallest planes. Not recommended if you have a weak stomach or any fear of flying.
Great Lakes Airlines flies to TBN from St. Louis and Kansas City about three time during the week and once on Saturday and Sunday. They have great customer service, but aren’t linked up to every major airline so sometimes you need to check in again for connecting flights.
There is also a Hertz car rental located at the airport, just make sure to book in advance. Other than that there are a few snack machines and a small waiting area.
