I just spent $ 60 (including a tip I shouldn’t have gave) on the worse pedicure of my life. The lady hardly even touched my feet.

Amazing ! Best pedicure I’ve ever had (it includes a hot stone leg massage) & for only $ 28! Will only go to splendid for pedicures from now on. You fan tell the manager/​owner woman really cares about her customers! Love this place!

This is my first review on Unilocal and I felt compelled to write it based on my experience with this salon. I have been to this salon three times total. The first time, I got a color gel mani and a regular pedi. The service was good. The second time I went, I had an event to go to that weekend and wanted something different. I went in and asked for extensions. I was told they don’t do acrylic, only UV gel extensions which cost approximately $ 100. The female manager (or owner) told me the male technician there was «very good.» She recommended I get color gel on top and told me I would need to come in every 2 – 3 weeks for a fill-​in of the UV gel nails. This cost over $ 130. I was not very familiar with UV gel extensions but decided to go with it. At the completion of my services, the nail extension was thick and heavy. I assumed this is how they were suppose to look, tipped the technician and left. One week later one of the nails literally fell off. I knew I had to get them refilled but the entire extension just fell off. Additionally, the color gel was not applied all the way to the cuticle because it already looked two weeks old with polish ¹⁄₃ of the way up my nail. Furthermore, more nail extensions started to lift and were nearly coming off. I returned to the salon at the two weeks mark (I have a 1 year old, work full time and couldn’t make it sooner). I complained that I had paid over $ 100 for UV nails that were literally coming off and I wasn’t happy with the look. I asked for the entire set to be removed. The technician who removed the extensions laughed at how hideous my nails looked. They also admitted that the technician who did my nails was no longer there. Nonetheless, the female owner charged me $ 15 for removal of the extensions and $ 15 for a manicure. This is such poor business practice! She should have attempted to recover the service by first apologizing and at least taking off the set that was incorrectly applied without charge. I paid over $ 100 two weeks prior for what they all admitted was poor service and I had to pay to have it corrected. This is simply unacceptable! For this reason, I will not be back to this salon.

Love this place, but the female owner messes up appointments. I am a regular there and she and her husband booked my appointment prior to a vacation I was taking. The day of my appointment I called to say I was running late and spoke with her 3 times. When I arrived she soar the person that was supposed to do my nails was not there. It was 6pm the night before my trip! The only thing she offered me was $ 5 off for her screwing up the appointment and not informing me after I called 3 times.
Does anyone know where Ester went? She was amazing and now she’s not there. Ester and Amy both left and they were the only ones that could do UV Gel sets.

Wow, beautiful salon. Service is great, I am very impressed! Great selection of color, good sterilization of tools, and they take care of you as much as they can. Wow!!!

It is rare that get a pedicure but I wanted to find a nail salon to go to when in NJ since ill be moving there in a few months. & OMG This place is AMAZING! I got a regular mani and pedi and it felt like I went to the spa! The staff is beyond friendly, the owner himself was so humble! I think simply because of the attention I got I’m going to begin making a mani and pedi at least a monthly routine, rather than annual (I tend to just do it myself).

By far the best nail salon I’ve been to! Fell in love from the minute I stepped in. The place was so clean and had a relaxing feel to it. This has become my new salon!

After losing interest in having my hands abused at Chic Shop in Leonia, decided to look for a new nail spot.
This place is super nice inside. It’s big and spacious with a semi-​lux spa feel. They have a Keurig machine and various types of tea and refreshments on a table in the back. Fairly large polish color selection.
The woman who did my nails was very nice and gentle and I think she did a good polish application. Only once did she have to use her nail to sop up leaking polish in my cuticles. Her massage was brief but relaxing.
Regular manicure was $ 12, not sure about mani-​pedi combo.
It was virtually empty on Thursday around noon when I went.
Will definitely be back.
Update: manicures are now $ 14

This is by far the best nail experience I have ever had. The salon is incredibly clean, the atmosphere is relaxing, and it feels nothing short of being in a luxurious spa. The technicians are meticulous and I have never had a better mani/​pedi. The owner was inviting and accommodated both my mother and I as walk-​ins. I immediately became a member and have an appointment booked for a future date. I loved, loved, loved Splendid Nail!!!

Excellent service!!! The ladies are amazing, great job guaranteed! I challenged Sylvia with a gel design and she knocked it out of the park! I am keeping a standing appointment every two weeks!

Love it here. Best nail salon in Fort Lee NJ! trust me I been to them all. My color gel last me 3 weeks.

This was my second trip to Splendid after reading all of the good reviews on Unilocal.I like to wait until after I’ve had more than one experience at a place before writing my own review. The first time, definitely a really big, nice and clean interior, friendly service and a very nice manicure. This time though, seriously, blown away by how beautifully and efficiently my manicure was done. Amy did a great job and it was so quick. Also, I had a really short, broken nail that was pretty painful and she was so gentle with it– didn’t even notice! I love that it’s a quiet and relaxing spot. I’ve never had a problem walking in with no wait, but it can get busy and I know other people that have, so to be safe I would make an appointment. I know in the future I will be just so I can request Amy specifically.

First time coming here and I will say the staff is friendly. Although there was so much miscommunication on how many people were getting services for a big bridal party. I came in for a pedi and I was supposed to do eyebrows. Unfortunately they don’t have a good person to do eyebrows but their pedicure service are amazing

I have been going to this salon steadily since 2013 and have been super pleased with my experience every single time. All of the manicurists are methodical, precise, and consistent. I don’t even have a favorite because I have had service with all of them and they are all fantastic. The atmosphere is very quiet and calming and salon is kept very clean and inviting. Color selections are broad and up to date with latest collections. Prices are fairly average for the area and the service you get is completely worth it.

I live very close to here, so on my way home I just stopped by to get my toes done. I walked in, and asked if I could get my toes done. The hostess shook her head no, and told me «No, no time.» I was shocked. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone go to a nail salon and be told no! It’s usually «pick a color,» «wait is 5 minutes, is that ok?,» or «Can you come back tomorrow?» Never a flat out no. I’m a typical middle class girl, I was wearing a dress, jewelry, nice makeup… not sure why I was told no immediately. I was kind of shocked actually. So I said «Oh, ok. Well do you mind if I use your rest room?» She shook her hair no again and said «You can go next door.» Holy moly. And on their door I noticed a sign saying « Unilocal loves us,» so I HAD to write a review. It’s a shame. I live in the area, get my nails done often, and the place was very nice. I could have been a regular customer. If you are going to work in customer service, learn how to deal with customers. Terrible experience created in less than 60 seconds. First impressions are everything. Never coming back. And never recommending this place to anyone. Rude rude rude!

Decided to try a new place around my area… well an 11 min ride from my area and chose this place for the high reviews. Glad I went for the drive because the place is nice and clean and their technicians are good and pleasant. Go ask for Lilie!

Got a pedicure this past weekend. The standard pedicure they did a great job and was serviced right away. Nice atmosphere too.

After reading all the reviews, I took my friend here to treat her out. The place was very clean and organized. The equipment were new and although I know very little about nail salons, it wasn’t hard to tell how great the service was. According to my friend, the service was amazing compared to all the nail places she has been to. (She also used to work at a nail salon) Pedicure and Color Gel? That’s what she got and she loved how they came out. By the way, the owners are very nice and caring.

I had a wonderful experience at Splendid and will definitely be coming back. The atmosphere is very quiet and relaxing and I was so happy with the results. My pedicure and especially my manicure were fantastic. My manicure actually lasted much longer than my previous ones from other salons. Splendid is now my salon of choice and I will only go there in the future.

I was in much need of some care on the nails, decided I should Unilocal a nearby place, (check), wasn’t thrilled with the reviews so I drove a littler further based upon the reviews of Splended, and the name fits itself. They indeed are splendid.
Had a nice/​quick mani/​pedi, I didn’t have an appointment but they were happy to oblige. The place was clean, and the staff is friendly. I would recommend this place to any out of town (er), or local.
