I usually go here to do large loads of laundry and I not only go cuz of the convenience but also because of their payment system. Unlike other laundromats thats around the area they use card systems to keep you carrying around a bunch of coins. However they tend to run a little bit pricier than laundromats around the area but parking and convenience wise it definitely wins. There tends to be some broken dryers and customer service wins all around with the friendliness of the owner.

Its the biggest and cleanest laundromat around this area. Been to the other ones and I prefer this place to the ones closer to where I live. I’ve used possibly every service they provide there. Used to go there to do my laundry till I got sick one week about 6 months ago and decided to drop off my clothes instead and use their wash, dry & fold service. Haven’t done my own laundry since… Their wash, dry & fold service is quite unbelievable. How do you fold clothes like that? My dresser, which used to be a heap of rolled/folded/tossed clothes, has been neatly stacked with perfectly folded clothes for months now. It’s a family business. Don’t you love those? I see the girls from time to time there and everyone there is so friendly. I honestly go for their customer service just as much as I go for those perfectly folded clothes. Dry cleaning’s easy too. I love that I can go once a week to the same place and drop off my laundry and dry cleaning at the same time. They’ve recently renovated the whole store into a card-system. And got some bigger and shinier machines. This change lures me back to doing my own laundry… Only if I wasn’t so lazy.

I must be weird. I actually enjoy doing laundry. It’s ironing that I don’t like. Which is probably why the majority of my long sleeve shirts are wrinkled. I put em on and let my body heat iron em. Trust me it works. But washing clothes, that’s cool with me. Would be even cooler if I had a washer and dryer at home, but for now, Speed Wash is the move. I did my homework on this one when I moved into the area. Hit up all the Laundry spots round the way and found them all to be lacking. Then I stumbled across Speed Wash and it was a wrap. Here’s what won me over: 1. It’s Clean! I’m talking dryers, washers, folding tables and the place itself, ALL is kept real well. 2. Opens early. I’m up and at it EARLY. I like laundry… but not enough to let it eat up my day. SW opens at 7am, I’m there at 6:55 with a medium cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee in hand, ready to do my thang! 3. Front End Loaders. They get your clothes waaay cleaner then top loaders. All the Washer in SW are front end loaders. 4. Did I mention it’s CLEAN. oh, ok just checking. Real talk, way before the ametures who slow up the process have arrived. Like a ninja I’m in, handle my 4 loads of clothes, then out and back home putting my gear away and planning the rest of my day before 8am. You know I’ve pondered my fondness of doing laundry… It’s sort of a nostalgic thing with me. The sound of a washing machine takes me back to when I was a kid. I see bright sunny days, me playing in the back yard and can hear my mom calling me to help her hang bed sheets on the line. Sheets billowing in the breeze like sails on pirate ships. When the clothes were dried my mom would bring them inside. I’d collecting the clothes pins and when I had finished head to her room. Where the clothes were piled up, resting on her bed, waiting to be folded. Then I’d fall into them. And lay there and breath deep. Maaan! Nothing comes close to the scent of fresh laundry, dried on the line. Sun bleached extra bright, fresh breezes better then any dryer sheet. Yeah, I like doing laundry. nuff said
