Sushi is fresh and amazing. I love it there the only down fall is they pile all the food on top of u. I told the waitress I’m not in a rush and 3 second later. I have my salad, soup and app. 5 mins later comes out my sushi. I really couldn’t relax there after a long day.

A good sushi needs to have the fresh ingredients but a great sushi needs a skillful chef. Thats what this location is all about. The location is a bit hidden in between business stores, but once you get in feels like you just entered the twilight zone. The ambiance is laid back but always reminds you that its a sushi place. The food is pricey for ordinary everyday meal but its worth eating! The fish are very fresh without that fishy taste some some sushi serve on other places. I give all the credit to there awesome sushi chef Mr. Lee! I’ve known Mr. Lee and have eaten sushi prepared by him for more than 10 years and i can say that he is a great chef with alot of passion on making sushi! Very gentle, charming, and always smiles Mr. Lee greats everyone that comes in and makes sure you have a good experience eating. I can say this because I’ve seen this already happened, if Mr. Lee is there rest assure your sushi will always be fresh and the qualities are superb! Now my family only goes to his Hachi Sushi now!

Came here with a friend and we noticed plenty of seats available during the afternoon. We were greeted quickly and served some fresh hot tea. Our food came within 5 minutes of ordering. The cool part was we didn’t get leftovers. It was really fresh. The sushi chef was just really fast. I will definitely come back but will most likely get takeout since my house is literally right down the block. Why sit inside for sushi when I can sit on fresh green grass and enjoy my lunch with the sun :)

Best sushi in the Northeast. BYO. Liquor store a few steps away. Low prices, friendly staff. Try the nasu(eggplant from heaven), eel avocado roll, lobster roll. The fried rice is magical. I know you’re thinking«come on!». The chicken fried rice hits the g-spot in my mouth. You will leave satiated yet wanting more. More!

Great fresh sushi like NYC without NYC prices. Plus it’s byob, run across, buy a six pack or wine and bring it over. No cork fee when I brought mine.

Consistently great food. Their chirashi is the best I’ve had anywhere & the most fresh. Only place we miss since moving out of the area.

I traveled from Queens, NY to this spot. I missed turn, took me extra 30 minutes to find the place. Wasn’t on a happy mood when I walk in to the place. But after tastes their food I feel it worth every effort. Best sushi I ever tasted. Fresh, stunning fishes. OMG

Solid place. I bring people here from out of the neighborhood, both for business and a good meal. Very reliable for delivery, and I’ve probably spent thousands of dollars here but it’s a testament to the price as well as frequency.

For some reason, food quality and taste has been downgraded since the last time I visited there. Sushi was alright, but rolls were little too greasy. Services were average. It was just alright. Nothing special.

Ordered the Bento box, Friday night, cost arround $ 16. Comes with a Miso soup and the box had chicken teryaki, gyoza, california roll and a salad. Also had a extra spicy tuna roll(6 pieces for $ 6) as a side which was fantastic. Overall very good japanese food, well served and waitresses were very friendly. Restaurant is very cozy and pretty.

Very solid sushi place. I have not had their other food but the sushi and sashimi are really good. My office often orders lunch from them and the food is always prompt, clearly organized and labeled and consistently fresh and delicious.

Ordered $ 55 worth of food since the employees told me it will be enough for 3 people. 3 people? it was more like a box the size of a small wallet. The sushi was very tiny. The food wasn’t that great either. TOOEXPENSIVEFOR10PCSOFSUSHI. I would rather go to H Mart next door and make sushi myself.

Local sushi spot in Linwood plaza. My gf recommended us to go since PJs were closed cause they are on vacation. First. It would of gotten a 3 star for average… But Service is SOSLOW here. I was getting extremely aggravated. So it lost a star solely based on service. Took us forever to get the waitress to take our order. Mind you she asked us to order 1 min after sitting so we asked for a little more time. She never came back… Until we were literally calling for her. Then we messed up my friends order when she asked for no cucumbers. And when it finally came down to getting the check. It took ages !!! The food… The fish is fresh but the rolls are pricey for the portion given. They did have some unique names of rolls and combinations. Snow White roll was very good. Haven’t tried anything like that. So creativity with the rolls! Thumbs up. Overall, food was average. Overly priced. Service sucked. Don’t see myself coming back.

This place is hidden away in a shopping plaza. It is a small restaurant with great service and a nice menu. The staffing here is great as I feel they are over staffed to make sure no one waits on the service. Everything we ordered here tastes fresh and great. I feel sushi is one of those opinion driven foods. There is a good variety of foods here from sushi to katsu. The chicken katsu was amazing here, large portions, fried to perfection. I don’t believe i have ever had better chicken katsu anywhere lol. Pricing wasn’t bad at all, I have paid a lot more for less quality. So least you know you will get a good deal here. The ambience was nice and casual. The owner here is kind and tends to greet all the customers, making sure they feel invited. Took pics of a couple of the entrees. Enjoy

I definitely had better. I ordered the fried chicken bento for lunch. The fried chicken bento box came with 2 soggy chicken katsu, hard gyoza dumplings, 6 avocado & crab rolls, salad, and miso soup. Portion was average and it’s about $ 13. The fried chicken was just soggy chicken katsu. It seemed to me that right after they fried the chicken, they cut it up and placed into the bento box. While the chicken was sitting and waiting to be delivered, the outer layer got soggy because the oil didn’t have enough time to cool down. But most of all, I was disappointed by the gyoza dumplings. The gyoza dumplings were boiled/steamed(instead of pan-fried like other Japanese restaurants) and then taken out to be kept warm for some amount of time. The shell became dry while it was sitting after being cooked and became hardened. It was inedible. I just didn’t understand their process in their cooking methods… I also tried the sushi deluxe plate and their udon. They were better than the fried chicken bento box. And the service was okay.

This place is terrible, the owner is extremely disrespectful and does not want minorities in his establishment. I placed an order to go and when I got to my destination I was disgusted with what they had served me. This was no act of negligence, it was intentional, so that I would not come back. I returned and I spoke to the owner who said that if I couldn’t afford sushi not to buy it from his place. I recorded the whole incident with my phone unfortunately Unilocal won’t allow me to upload it.

Great no-frills sushi place in NJ. Plus, it’s BYOB with a liquor store across the parking lot. I come here on the week days when I have a sushi craving but don’t feel like trekking into the city or spending $ 100+ We usually order the sushi/sashimi platter for two, bring a bottle of wine and call it a night.

Can I get a whoohoo for my 50th review? Yay! Hachi is a pretty decent sushi spot that I frequent since I live within walking distance. I say«decent» because everything is average, nothing will knock your socks off but you won’t have any complaints. The best part about this place is that it’s BYOB, there’s a nice liquor store across the parking lot, and they don’t charge a corking fee or anything. Whatup warm sake! The food is good but not outstanding. I’ve tried pretty much all the vegetarian options on the menu at this point and usually stick with the avocado roll, veggie tempura and tofu salad. Prices are average for the area. It’s a relatively small restaurant but it has a nice atmosphere. The service is good, and they’re open between lunch and dinner which is convenient. It’s worth a try if you’re in the area. Hit up Linwood Liquors across the parking lot and get your drink and sushi on.
