Very fresh and very good service. Impressed with clean cutting boards on their working area. It is very important to raw fish dishes. Plenty of food for the whole table and presentation was excellent too.

I am at lost for words. This place was amazing! I have to admit that it is on the more expensive side but you get a lot of food so be sure to come with a hungry stomach. The wait for dinner time is a bit long but I swear it is worth the wait. My boyfriend and I ordered the live octopus to try and the sashimi combo for 2. It was my first time trying the live octopus and boy was it a jaw workout. The octopus tentacles were still squirming while we ate it. Tasted great with all the sauces but I personally won’t eat it again because it was way too much work. The Sashimi was hands down amazing. The main one I was surprised about was the mackerel. It had eggs along with the mackerel slices(hopefully my picture shows what I am talking about). Although we ordered the sashimi for 2, the ban chan plus the order was probably enough for 4 people. If you have the money to splurge and a hungry stomach, I recommend this place.

I thought it was a decent raw fish place. I had lunch on sunday, so really cannot say anything about the value of dinner per price. I have been there by myself and then with my wife. Ordered the combination. The smaller one(still big enough for 2) was about 60 bucks, then the bigger one was about 75 bucks I remember. The combo comes with side dishes and appetizers(I will call them appetizers since you can eat them by itself. by definition. You don’t eat side dishes by itself even though a lot of us do…). We thought the fish was very fresh, and the amount of food was very adequate for two people. I thought the service was very adequate even though they were very busy on weekend lunch. this is a very different type of dishes from japanese style sushi(very Korean specific), and there are not that many places around this area(some in Northen Jersey and some in Queens). I would definitely recommend this place to people.

Most awesome korean sushi/sashimi. Lunch combos are excellent. Sets are expensive but worth it.

Definitely one of the goto places in the neighborhood for fresh sushi/sashimi during lunch or dinner. There’s ample meter parking right outside the street. But, don’t forget to feed the meter! They offer great lunch special for decent price & portion. Choices vary from udon to tuna sashimi combo & more. Love that the quality of food has always been consistent and service is not bad either. We had the tuna sashimi combination, sushi combination and sashimi combination lunch special. All combination plates came with small udon to start, then generous size of appetizer per person with salmon avocado roll, squid salad and assorted tempora. We shall be back for more :)

Food is alright but service became terrible since the last time I came here. Our server, some chubby dude, was very unintrested never apologized even once when he constantly dropped utensils and beer bottles infront of us. He tried to hustle us in the beginning to order more when the amount we initially ordered was more than enough. it was one of those strange times where the waiter seemed tired maybe even intoxicated. i never saw an employee mess up that many times.

Probably the only decent Korean style sashimi in bergen county. The place is a bit pricey but they give you lots of assorted side dishes. For a better idea for prices it’s about $ 100 for 2, and that’s probably the minimum plus tax and tip. Sorry but forgot to take a pic of menu. Also portionwise this could feed three people instead of 2. I did hear they got nice lunch specials but haven’t tried yet. I would only recommend this spot for people into that korean style sashimi with soju. They close like at 1230am so call ahead to see when they are taking last calls.

The packages are a good way to try a little of everything. The live octopus was a fun experience. There were other cuts of seafood that were also still moving. Freshness overall was above average compared to other seafood/sushi restaurants. Service was okay. They forgot one of our side orders, but they apologized and were willing without hesitation to get their chef to make the dish even though the kitchen had already closed. We came after 9pm so it was less busy and we didn’t have to wait despite our large group of 10.

I don’t know about anyone else, but we recieved impeccable service! We waited for a little over an hour, and my parents were a little annoyed. We ordered sashimi order for two for three of us and initially I was concerned we wouldn’t have enough food, but we were stuffed and couldn’t finish! The bonus was that because we waited for an hour, they gave us free round of decent sized fresh oysters. Then we happened to know a cook, so he gave us another round of sashimi — huge slices of tuna and black fish! We were so happy and stuffed, but before we couldn’t get up, they brought another round if hand rolls. We were so amazed and satisfied with service.

Way too expensive and terrible service. $ 200 meal for three people. The server ran out after us for additional tip because he said 15% was not enough and asked for $ 20 more dollars tip. I gave it to him but will certainly not return for a meal that was not very pleasant. Some items served were chewy, weird texture, and overly fishy.

Come hungry. I would suggest coming to this restaurant on an empty stomach with a big appetite. I’ve been here a couple of times and I always went with a big group. It’s a great place for birthday dinners, work outings, family gatherings, etc. The food is enddddddddless. I actually never placed the order myself but I assume that there are different combo specials that you choose from. Make sure you eat slow and remember to save some room for the jigae/soup that comes out last! If you are a fan of sashimi, you will definitely leave satisfied! It does get busy during the weekends so the waiters and waitresses may not be as attentive but they do try their best to accommodate to everyone.

2 stars for sashimi(5 stars for the sea squirts) but 4 stars when taking all of the dishes included in this 4 – 7 course dinner altogether. Forgot to take a picture of the last two dishes– two handrolls and spicy seafood broth(mehwoontang) and the comp grilled tuna. Come here HUNGRY bc you WILL explode– we didn’t even finish any of the dishes so that we’d eat most of the sashimi platter but. we ended up leaving about 25% of that, too. Just remember, this is NOT a Japanese sushi joint — don’t expect high end omakase here, with top notch ginger slices to cleanse your mouth. Na-ah. Not how it’s done. The cultural difference in how to consume sashimi in Korea vs. Japan is quite different. In Korea, you make it a «ssam» — you know when you eat Korean BBQ, you make a lettuce wrap with miso paste and all that? Well, that’s what happens with sashimi, too — Korean style. There’s miso paste which will have a boatload of garlic, so mix well. We’ve tried the Bada Story in Flushing– weird that we went there first, considering we live very close to this location. We came in at 6:30pm with no reservations– they squeezed us in. The moment we were seated, a plate of wasabi, ginger, pickled garlic, seaweed salad was immediately placed in the corner of our table. That was quickly followed by a big bowl of noodles with squid in spicy and sweet sauce. We knew that we were going to be overwhelmed with the sheer amount of food, so we nibbled on that. We ordered the $ 100 assorted sashimi platter(like we did before, but next time, I’m trying the tuna only platter), which came with: cold noodles with squid, sea pineapples/squirts(which were pretty damnnnnnn fresh), scallion pancake, mussel soup(mussel in a clear broth), steamed egg(geranjim– Korean version of chawanmushi), sweet corn topped with a layer of cheese, plate of complimentary grilled tuna, 2 handrolls and the mehwoontang(spicy seafood broth). The sashimi platter, as you can see in my pic, is not that great– it’s mostly low-end types of fish, save the abalone and ebi. The box of uni was meh. Oddly, a plate of kimchi arrived last– huh? Anyway. We barely touched the mehwoontang anddddd that came as no surprise– we were STUFFED. The service is great so let’s not complain people– press the damn button on the utensil box. They’ll be there in a flash. Many bottles of soju later and with an imminently exploding tummy, we left to go karaōke– best way to top off a date night. There was a hugeeeee hungry line eagerly waiting. Phew– thank goodness we were lucky even without a reservation! I’ll probably be back next week to try a different platter.

I was big fan of their raw live fish specials during dinner hours but it got too expensive and the quality was not what I was expecting. I recently discovered that they have lunch menu and it was definitely worth checking it out. So I gathered up my courage and taste buds to see what all the buzz was about and it was pretty darn good to my surprise. Most of their menu is served with small side dish with seaweed salad, pickled carrots & ginger and onions along with wasabi. When you actually order the meal, then you get rolls, shrimp & veggie tempura and spicy squid salad. However, sashimi salad only comes with soup and this is not included. Interestingly enough, the sashimi salad comes with the choice of your fish cuts. Normally, this will be served with variety of sashimi but you have to choose 1 type of fish at this place. I personally think that is better since I am not a big fan of salmon or mackerel in my sashimi salad. So I opted for live skate fish cuts. It was very delicious and much better than expected. I added just enough spicy bean paste(gochuchang) for flavor and half bowl of rice(that is the trick to staying a bit thinner. LOL). I am so glad that my friends told me about this place. It definitely is on my A list again for lunch places in Fort Lee.

I’ve been really excited to check this place out for quite some time and we finally had the chance to come during our short visit to nj. despite being a little disappointed, I have to give them four stars because it’s not them, it’s me. we opted for the assorted sashimi platter for $ 100 which feeds two. shortly after ordering, it all starts coming out, dish after dish after dish. seafood which we could not identify(we were apprehensive about — maybe sea cucumbers), cold noodle soup which was delish and refreshing, pajun, egg soufflé, cheesy corn(interesting and delicious), mussels(given its clear soup base, it was packed with flavor), a platter of sashimi, two hand rolls, and three pieces of nigiri. they are very generous with their portions and do NOT skimp out. we were already feeling very full and we were presented with another dish, maewoontang(spicy fish soup). everything was very delicious and fresh. the service was good, the food quality was great, everything came out in a timely manner, but the reason we were disappointed was bc we realized it’s not the type of food we really enjoy, hence the«it’s not them, it’s us.» one thing that we would have appreciated was if the servers explained to us what the dishes were when they brought it out. often they would drop off the dishes without a word. some of the things we had no idea what they were and even when they tried to explain, the language barrier was too glaring. overall it was a good experience. I’m just disappointed to realize that I’m not as adventurous as I thought.

The service here has gotten considerably better. I went with a friend last night for dinner and was pleasantly surprised with he renovations. We waited about 25 minutes for a table. They asked us to look at the menu while we waited so we chose the assorted sushi special($ 100) and when they seated us our first dishes were out already. It’s an insane amount of food. We got sea cucumber, baby octopus salad, gaeranjjim(double boiled egg), pajun(korean seafood pancake), cheese corn, mussel soup, hand rolls, a full platter of sashimi(a box of uni included!!!), and ended with maeoontang(spicy fish soup). They also gave us a blue fin tuna roll as service for waiting so long. Seafood is excellent and very fresh. It’s very Korean style so if you’re not used to it you might be a bit turned off. But it’s amazing. Throw in a couple beers and some soju and it’s a party. Maybe it’s because we came later(arrived at 7) and caught the end of the dinner rush that they didn’t try to rush us out. We ate slowly and talked for about 2 hours with no pressure from the staff. We were so full that I packed the fish soup to go, still great the next day! Ps. They grate fresh wasabi!!! Might have sat there eating wasabi for a while. You know I’m a sucker for it.

Pros: great korean style seafood place, love the combo specials, clean and prompt waiters. Oh! Let’s not forget! They give you the real wasabi… not some cheap tubed ones! Cons: so much food??? If I have to complain? XD So, I live im Manhattam but I heard so much about this place that I had to go check out. We zipcared for 3.5 hrs to include a drop by at the hmart nearby. We had the couple’s combo, $ 99, with half fluke and half sea kko si, which is sashimi with bones in. First of all, the meal starts out with a bunch of small side dishes; tempura, steamed eggs in a hot pot, seafood pancake, sashimi salad, a couple of sushi, mussel broth, corn off the cob with mini shrimps on a hot iron skillet, etc. And all of them are good! I was really suprised by the pancake especially because I used to pay 15 – 16 bucks to order that in a restaurant in Manhattan!!! Then, comes the sashimi plate with abalony and sea squirts and it’s hige in portion size! :) you can tell from the wasabi if you are in a legit sashimi place. This place grinds their own wasabi… it’s not some tubed wasabi! :) I got very excited when I saw the ground wasabi. Hehe Finishing the meal, they boil the mae woon tang, seafood in spicy broth, right next to you on the inductiom burner so that it doesn’t get cold while ur eating. After all these, we were stufffffeeeeeddddd and left very happy. :) the best korean style seafood place around the area so far and definitely way better than the famous Sik Gek restaurant in Flushing! :)

I came here last night with a group of 10 ppl, and we had a blast. Our waiter recommended us to order 2 Fluke whole fish set($ 149), each set can serve 5 person. The amount of foods we had was insane, it came with different side dishes(spicy cold noodles, seafood pancakes, hot mussel soup, steamed eggs, grilled fish. all of the side dishes can be refilled), fresh oysters, the fluke sashimi and another set of sashimi set with different kind of fish and seafood, cone sushi and a big spicy seafood hot pot. Trust me, you won’t be able to finish all of the food. Our waiter was really sweet(I believe he is the manager of the store), he can speak Chinese so it really helped a lot as the menu was very simple and this was our first time at a Korean sashimi restaurant. He gave us great advices while we were not sure what kind of set we should order and was extremely patient to us. We were here for friend’s b-day party and they played special music and cheered for us while they brought out the cake. We really had a great time here! Why 4 stars? 1. The oysters had a a strong smell while served, it was fresh but I think they can make the oysters cooler, so it won’t have that fishy smell. They had the sesame soy sauce put on the oysters already, but I prefer to have variety(like horse reddish. or something more western styles sauce), hope they can have some more variety on the sauce.
2. The Korean whole fish sashimi was very chewy, it is totally different than Japanese styles(which sashimi will melt in your mouth) and some people might not like it. 3. I hope they have some Korean soju mix drink, like watermelon soju or lichee soju for bigger group, but they don’t. The selection of alcohol they have is limited from my point of view.
