If you are new to knitting and intimidated by the process, this is seriously the best shop for you. I was a beginner and happened to discover Yarns & Arts and that was the best thing that could happen to help me flourish in this wonderful craft. The store is inviting and friendly. The staff is beyond helpful and there are knitting groups right in the store. Everyone is so kind and willing to share their knowledge. I love this shop!

Looking for a last-minute Christmas gift for my boyfriend’s mother, it occurred to me that really nice/expensive yarn would be perfect(this was Dec 23). We called and got no answer, but were driving to Ft. Lauderdale anyway, so we tried to come here. Well, it was actually closed — the closed sign was on the door, but there were two women inside. The owner came to the door and when I explained the situation, she unlocked it and let us in — turns out she was just there for personal reasons. But she actually opened the store for me and my bf, and very patiently explained the yarn world to two people who had no idea what to buy. Based on the climate where his mom is and the use for the yarn(scarf and hats), she helped us select some gorgeous heavy wool from Turkey and a few other things. She was super helpful and we were never rushed. I can’t comment on how the prices are — we spent $ 150 to buy enough for four projects. So… not cheap. But we didn’t want cheap — we wanted nice. And the selection they have, and the yarn we selected, was definitely nicer than any you’d find at a big-box craft shop. If I could give 6 stars for service, I would!

Driving around I remembered I read about this store and decided to check it out since there is only a handful of quality yarn stores in the Miami and Broward areas. It’s a little tricky to find and thanks to my iPhone’s maps app I got lost but eventually made it. From what I saw parking is limited to meters only so I was glad I had change. As I walked in I was immediately surprised by the yarn organization. Everything is pretty much organized by colors, and is very very neat. I had my 2 year old with me and didn’t want to put him down for fear of him making a disaster. The owners quickly greeted me and assured me it was ok to let my tornado of a child down. This store is a quality yarn lovers paradise. Great selection of beautiful yarn, and from what I saw their prices are very reasonable. The owners were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, I would say their customer service was some of the best I’ve ever experienced in any type of a store. After going in with the intent of buying one thing, I came out with a bag full and most definitely will be making the trip from Miami to this store again.

My daughter and I were visiting nearby, and decided to explore this yarn shop. How lucky Fort Lauderdale is to have such a nice shop! There is a large selection of well-priced yarns, and a nice assortment of accessories. Definitely worth the trip, and the husband/wife owners are masters of customer service and attention. I will definitely make this a repeat stop for the next time I’m in the area!

I’m a snowbird in Aventura… there are NO decent yarn shops in Aventura so this shop was recommended to me. Not knowing what to expect, I drove there and felt like I walked into a little slice of heaven! Wonderful people, a beautiful selection of yarn, and a comfortable place to «hang out» to knit or discuss patterns. Alex, the owner, is very knowledgeable about yarn… AND, makes a great cup of columbian coffee!!! He, and his lovely wife Maria, really do everything possible to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. This was a terrific recommendation and I know I will be back again and again :-)
