Terrible service and even more terrible food. We arrived at 5:45 pm and the restaurant had about 4 tables occupied. We sat, were given menus and then forgotten about for about 20 minutes. Ordered a chicken dish($ 18), penne pasta with meatballs($ 13) and caprese salad($ 8). As time passed, no salad, no salad and no salad then suddenly all the food showed up at once. Why would we want to eat our appetizer salad with our meal. But okay, it is what it is and then we bit into the meatballs and they were blood red, under cooked and disgusting. We advised the waiter, he offered another entrée but we refused and thanked him. We did not want anything else after the meatballs were not cooked. But the topper is he wanted charge us for all of the food, even the under cooked food that was returned. We had to ask for the manager which in turn took care of our check. I am hoping this was an isolated incident and not the norm for this place.

Groupon users beware. I advised the gentleman who sat us we had a groupon. He explained to us the items we could and could not order. Puzzled I told him the groupon doesn’t list any exceptions. To which he replied the manager said you need to order the more expensive items listed and not appetizers. Luckily, our sever shrugged his shoulders and said we can order anything we want. Pay attention to your bill when it comes. they added on an 18% tip and on the bottom of the receipt it states TIPISNOTINCLUDED. I also recommend printing your groupon as I did. Based on my experience I could see them making an issue out of not having your groupon printed. Overall, the food wasn’t that bad. We ordered the tacos and fish and chips. Their wines are good and the service was good. However, based on my experience with the groupon, I would not go back.

Let me start with the service: Andre, our server, made an average meal unforgettable. By average meal I mean GOOD: quick, consistent product, fresh, no complaints at all with our meals. It was our server who made the entire experience stellar. If you’re bored with the ocean view crowds, prices & want an alternative like we did, this is little-restaurant-in-the-hotel-lobby that could.

A nice little breakfast spot. The food was delicious but on the smaller portion size. The service was ok. It was great after I was sat but I stood around for a bit because there was no sign or employee to let me know if it was seat-yourself or wait to be seated. It was a nice experience thereafter though. The décor was clean and pleasant and the location was in a nice spot one block off the beach.

Really terrific food and the staff is super friendly. Our waiter Mircea offered suggestions on the high points of the menu and we took his suggestions. Everyone cleaned their plates. Definitely make reservations on the weekend. The staff accommodated our group of 7 at the last minute, but we were lucky on a particularly rainy evening.

so glad I found this place! It’s hidden behind the Hilton just off the beach. It is very charming with modern, tasteful décor. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious!!! Huevos rancheros wrap and hash browns for breakfast were amazing! With lunch we had a very delicious dessert! This is my new favorite beach restaurant! The hotel attached is really cute and reasonably priced as well.

This place was a block away from where we were staying and had been recommended by a couple of other guests. Went for lunch. We split a shrimp cocktail, and had a chicken burrito and a burger. All the food was good, great presentation; we both prefer things on the spicy side which this was not(shrimp was served in what I think was a mild picante sauce with avocado, and the burrito was tasty but also on the mild side). Fries were fresh and hot. Would go back and would like to try breakfast there.

Cute and quaint would be my description. Beer and doodle reasonably priced. I had the Fettuccine with Shrimp. Shrimp was jumbo and cooked perfectly. My friend had the taco sampler. Quite an array of sauces and flavors. Pork, beef, chicken, shrimp, fish and veggie-six tacos total. The waitstaff was very nice as well. We would definitely come back.

My partner & I were looking for an alternative breakfast location and found this on Unilocal. It was not far from our hotel so we went there for breakfast. The décor is clean white, simple, with indoor and outdoor seating. The breakfast menu is relatively good with various options one would expect. We were seated instantly inside and then waited a little before our server appeared. There was plenty of staff working this morning without a large # of guests, so a little surprised by the delay. We enjoyed the coffee, a rich dark blend. I asked the server if he knew the brand but he did not. We then enjoyed eggs benedict and an omelet, both were prepared well and served hot. But both needed a little more flavor, at least salt & pepper. We also had 1 side pancake which was really thin, so don’t expect a thick fluffy pancake. The funniest thing was the syrup dispenser, as the pourer was actually on bottom of container, so when you pushed the button it drizzled out unexpectedly. Pay attention or you’ll have it all on the table like us. Overall it was a good location, with decent food. Service can improve some, maybe ours was relatively new to the business but he was ok. Recommend it? Sure, for once at least. Definitely is better than all the touristy joints on the beach.

11÷15÷15. Breakfast It’s inside the hotel lobby with a bit too upbeat music for breakfast. But the place chic and cozy. Breakfast menu offers huevos rancheros, pancakes, a breakfast burrito, a breakfast sandwich on croissant, an omelet and a scramble. We both had the Delectable 2($ 10) which is two eggs any style, choice of meat, toast or fruit. Bacon is crispy but only one slice. Eggs scrambled are a bit over cooked and dry. The fresh fruit is refreshing. Coffee is actually quite good and strong, not the usual diner Folger stuff. Service is friendly but a bit slow. This is the closest breakfast place to our hotel(walking distance) with table service.

$ 35 for 2 crown and gingers? Stopped in to visit a friends going away party. Who is the Village Café? It is cheaper on South Beach! Don’t get get fooled by small plastic cup drinks that they charge $ 17 a drink for. Do not go unless you want to waist your money!

What’s not to love? Great surroundings with out door terraced seating in a restored Mid Century building– now a hotel(again). If you’re looking for beach restaurant you wouldn’t be likely to find this because it’s more understated and it’s a couple blocks off the somewhat tacky a1a. And in keeping with that, Tastefully yet playfully decorated inside with classic scan/Danish/Swedish style. Servers very attentive and thoughtful. I was here both for breakfast and for dinner. New menu started this week so maybe that’s why I can’t fathom all the negative reviews that ALMOST kept me away. Breakfast: A.m. Server did not give me her name but that was only potentially negative thing anyone could say. And also that the radio was on the music was good but then it was found out to be a radio station with a morning DJ with really nothing to say but blathering. spend money spent eight bucks a month and get Pandora or something. A.m.Server was warm, thoughtful and was spot on with service timing. As you can see from the photos I ordered the eggs over medium with hashbrowns and bacon. Bacon was wonderfully smoky and perfectly cooked .Eggs were also perfectly cooked, and hashbrowns I ordered crispy and they were like little tiny potato chips strings –they were awesome! Came with Fruit and that was quite the surprise because it wasn’t just the standard bowl of underripe cantaloupe and honeydew – also had fresh strawberry, blackberry, raspberry, and pineapple and was beautifully presented and a generous portion. Coffee was good and strong and I did not need to ask for creamer sugar –it was delivered. Great attention to details flatware and plates very clean and modernist . Dinner. Greeted and seated by Alex. Small but decent wine menu of glasses $ 10 and under. and some cocktails nothing to creative but they looked good enough, and if you signature ones which were tempting. Server Informing right away that the power had been down and that there might be a little wait on some items-even though the ovens and stoves for cooking are gas powered. Candles and overhead light strings were not lit which as early as I felt they could have been. music all over the map read the Franklin, Andrea Boccelli, Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, …find your voice, dammit! Ordered the Pinot Noir for eight dollars –generous for maybe six or 8 ounces. and then the salmon tartare that also had avocado lemon tarragon accent and black olives. It came with the bowl made out of Parmesan cheese and that little bowl is filled with some broken up pita chips. Chips could’ve been bigger and the Parmesan bowl was not crispy but chewy. Not sure if crispy as possible in this humid environmentI .i get the idea that maybe these were not made to order and were pre made and stored which of course they’ll get a bit soggy. .The black olives I suggest to change out for something more bright in flavor like green olives or capers –black olives were not right but it was still good despite. i would order again. Getting wafts of jasmine while sitting outside here in between courses. it smells like it’s actually coming from a tree somewhere. How novel! Hah . For dessert I ordered the Village Loaf which is a cinnamon toast Ciabatta with vanilla gelato and chocolate syrup and a decaf coffee. One of the only dessert actually made here; The rest are farmed out. American-style coffee with a nice crema on top. Dessert was good –nothing phenomenal but solid. I like the contrast of the toast and the creamy ice cream –they didn’t overdo the chocolate sauce thank God.-Maraschino cherries… can do without them. Service was spot on for dinner too. Definitely worth a visit or two or three. Come support this little local restaurant off the beaten beach path yet still getting ocean breezes. Also have to say that servers were dressed very sharp in classic white long aprons and bow ties and white shirts .and distinctively different –lots of style, yet understated blah blah blah-you get my drift. By the way I could not finish my wine. Lightweight.

My food came before my coffee or water. If this doesn’t explain the bizarre service one may receive in Ft. Lauderdale, I don’t know what could. Can’t recall if grat was included or not… The food was actually decent and not too expensive but having my drinks around the same time would have been nice. My eggs were cold by the time my coffee arrived. The music was really loud and obnoxious and the servers talked loudly about customers throughout my entire meal. Really unprofessional.

Horrible service and inconsistent messaging. We were told by the hostess they were still serving breakfast(til 11p) and after sitting down and not being seen for 20 min, our waitress finally came by and said«she’d be right back.» Um no. We’re ordering right now. We start to go around the table and quickly find out that breakfast is NOT being served and hasn’t been served since noon. 3 of the 4 of us had to quickly decide what else on the extremely limited menu we wanted. We were so hungry — we didn’t have time to wait another 20 min or we might die of starvation. Food was extremely average for the price and they did nothing to correct their error. I later found out that the hostess meant they were open til 11p. Since when does«open til» and«breakfast» rhyme?!

I tried the eggplant burger(fried) that is accompanied with fries. The fries could have been a little more crispier, and I’ll probably request that next time, but overall it was all tasty. The service was great and looking forward to trying more things in their menu as they are a few blocks from my home.
