Village At Sailboat Bend

Love living here. Neighborhood is cool. close to 95 and downtown. Town homes are very large and up to date. Some negatives are the the dog crap. There are so many people that don’t pick up after their dogs that it’s almost impossible now not to step in it when getting out of your car. I’m hoping it doesn’t smell in the summer. Also the trash room. People often open the door and just toss their garbage in. Sometimes you can’t even walk because there is so much filth and trash all over the floor. Big minus. Overall will def stay here for a bit.

This charming neighborhood is situated just outside of the downtown Ft. Lauderdale/​Las Olas area in the artsy historic neighborhood of Sailboat Bend. It is conveniently walking distance from the clubs/​bars of the downtown/​Las Olas/​Himmarshee area yet close to i95 for quick access to the highway on your way to and from work. The Village @ Sailboat Bend are charming, key west style townhouses, which are pretty new. They feature wood flooring, granite counters, stainless steel appliances and modern appliances… My roommate and I split a spacious townhouse which include 2 master bedrooms, 2 full and 1 half bath, a washer/​dryer, large living room, 2 balconys, lots of shelving and storage closets. The prices have gone down since the past couple of years, but it depends on the condo owner… The grounds are kept clean and there are tons of young people with dogs and a party atmosphere going on during weekends. I love living here. There is an extensive association process to become accepted, but its more $ and fuss than anything. They say they will interview you, but my «interview» was a 5 min telephone run-​down of the association rules.
