Ulta

I went to Ulta to try out their salon. I was able to book an appointment in 2 days which was quite nice and the time was perfect. Allison was the stylist who dyed my hair and also trimmed it. She was very friendly and talkative but she must have had a few clients who she was working on at the same time as me which is normally fine but I was left sitting uncomfortably with my neck on the sink with dripping wet hair waiting about 15 minutes for my hair to get rinsed out. Eventually, another stylist asked me if she wanted me to call her and I said yes. She did not apologize for leaving me for so long. The color was not the best. I have been a redhead for a few months now and do not like over the top/​too bright where the color looks unnatural. My roots are definitely too orange-​ey which is frustrating because I showed her a photo of my hair the last time it was red and explained I wanted the exact same shade. I got a trim as well which went well. I explained that I was looking for a good color lasting shampoo and she didn’t recommend any of them, all she said was that any of them that said «safe for colored treated hair» would be ok so I was left wandering around and eventually got one myself but I really wanted opinions and I just thought her response was kind of odd. She did blow dry it which was nice but overall not a very experienced stylist. It also cost me $ 92 without a tip which I think was a bit expensive for the job the received. I do not think I’ll be back for the salon but the rest of Ulta and the products they sell I love.

I have been coming to this Ulta to get my eyebrows done for quite some time now. Dana at the Benefit brow bar is a sweetheart. She also does a fantastic job. On your first visit with her she does a full consultation where she maps out your eyebrows and draws in the perfect shape for your face so that you can see what they will look like before she starts waxing.
My only negative is that they are a bit expensive. $ 20+ for an eyebrow wax is a little ridiculous in my book, but hey, it hasn’t kept me from coming back yet.

I visit Ulta every few months & my experience is always the same. I’m greeted by the front register clerks as soon as I walk into the store, I have to search for an employee on the floor if I have a question & the register clerks finish the conversations they’re having with each other before they acknowledge you & give you the okay to approach the register. This isn’t so much of a complaint as it is an observation, as I’ve encountered this same scenario at most places I visit & apparently it’s the norm these days. It should be mentioned that the employees are friendly, but I just feel if your job is to provide customer service, the customer should be top priority, not your chit-​chat sessions.

Decent Ulta location. Not the best I’ve ever been to but generally it’s pretty good. The first few times I came here the shelves weren’t very well stocked and it was slightly unorganized but it appears as though they have fixed those issues. It’s the only good makeup store in the area. I will continue to return and hope they keep up the positive changes.

I love Ulta for hair & beauty supplies but I also love their salon. I have been coming here for over 2years and was originally hesitant to try a new stylist but I’m so happy I did. Laura cuts & colors my hair just the way I want it without me having to tell her much. She always makes great conversation & is always in a great mood– unlike some of the staff here.

The customer service at this Ulta is lacking. They need to step their game up. You can’t have your boyfriend waiting for you until close while simultaneously talking to your best friend on your cell phone (and you’re a manager?)! STOP IT.

I’m an enthusiastic Ulta shopper, but this location needs more customer service training. I don’t appreciate having my salesperson jump to another customer in the middle of helping me when I am buying high value cosmetics. This is not the first time this has happened here. They need more sales and register help.
On the bright side, the products are terrific.

It would be difficult to review someplace you’ve only been once and when you were in there only spent maybe 5 minutes in and still give it a five-​star review, but my customer service experience was so great here I had to.
I was looking for one item (hair product), found the item was on sale, however, when it was rung up it came to normal pricing which I was not feeling. The associate didn’t even have time to begin looking for the right price when a manager came over and did the price adjustment because she knew I had questioned the pricing already.
I was in and out within minutes. It was perfect. Everyone was very willing to help me and I didn’t feel like I was trying to scam them out of product. They were all eager to give me the price I thought I should get. I would definitely go back there regardless of the sale now or not. I think because of their customer service they just found a new life-​long customer. That is until all my hair falls out.

Wow! This place if big, like really big and seems to have just about anything and everything even for longhaired natural platinum blonds (OK, so maybe it is old age white) like me.
I stopped by to get some hair putty to keep it in place, some argan oil to stop it from tangling and knotting when riding top down in my convertible but clueless as to what exactly which product I should be purchasing. One of the clerks proved most knowledgeable and politely took the time to explain everything to me, not only which would work best but also what products, which they also carried, that I should avoid.
Because of its vast array of choices and knowledgeable help, Four Stars.

Dora is amazing! Best haircut I have ever had, seriously. And I also came to her with a color correction problem — I had a botched ombré situation (more like dip dyed hair). She was very patient in going over everything before we began, we talked about a few options, and I trusted her with my hair. We ended up having to do a partial (half head) highlights, base color, and toner. The highlights were perfectly placed, the base color she pulled through the parts that weren’t highlighted, and the toner made it all look great. She did an amazing job. It was just what I wanted and more. Her technique is great. The prices are great. She treated me like a client and spent time on my hair to make sure it was right. I definitely recommend her! I have added a photo of the results so you can get an idea.
I simply can’t say enough great things about her and I know I have found MY hairstylist! I will follow her to wherever she goes.
