We went on the Sun Dream for a Valentine’s Day Dinner Cruise. The whole atmosphere of the boat was that of a wedding where you don’t really know anyone else. From sitting on the open top floor eating waiter passed hor dourves and enjoying the open bar to the DJ in the dinning room playing the best of the 80s, 90s and today. The hor dourves were good, but the waiters seem to have forgotten the front of the boat. The drinks were good — think basic bar options which is all you need from an open bar. Nothing fancy. I did enjoy the path the boat took which was down some smaller canals off the main channel as well as down past the inlet. The dinner itself was a serve yourself buffet and a bit of let down. The chicken was good, but the meat was sub par. The salmon was different and not bad, but not great. The sides were mainly misses as well. The real fun came when the DJ started pumping out those crazy tunes. I guess this would be dependent on the people on the boat, but when the 70 year olds start dancing… it was a lot of fun. This is my second Valentine’s Day cruise on two different companies and I would recommend this one over the one I went on last year(I won’t say names). That one was more romantic, but this one was more fun.
