Do not judge a book by its cover because you’re going to drive up and think to yourself, WTF did I get myself into. I stayed here(room 345) during college and wanted to try it out again, since it has such a great location. I emailed with the property and found out that they would rent out to non-timeshare owners. I reserved/prepaid for a 2 queen bed unit. When I arrived, I was given a 1 king unit with 2 pullout sofas(room 230) but I didn’t complain because the view was fantastic and the unit had windows on 4 sides. I would absolutely stay here again! Pro: price, location(1 block to beach place, CVS, haagen daz, subway), very large unit with separate bedroom, living/dining space and full kitchen, parking is free/covered by the one-time $ 20 resort fees, both units 346⁄230 have stellar views, easy to walk to/from the beach for bathroom/food breaks(no elevators or lobby crowds and as beach adjacent as one can get in FLL), decent toilet paper, complimentary hot dogs one day, day trips(Miami and Key West for minimal charge), nice rooftop deck Mod: Friendly staff(albeit a bit hot/cold), shower water pressure was acceptable but a little off for my taste, you can have housekeeping come in mid-week to swap out towels/linens(not a full daily cleaning), little rough finishes/exterior(only a few of my windows would stay open), it’s pretty soundproof between units Con: smaller bathroom(bring your own toiletries), very bad wifi, only in-wall ACs(not central air) This place is not the Ritz but that’s across the street for a couple hundred/night more. I also like the Hilton about 5 blocks north. The office will provide towels and also gave me beach chairs for free. To rent these from FL, it’s $ 12/chair and $ 20/umbrella, which is absurd. If the beach directly in front has too many males in speedos, just go down the beach a bit more. Having a full kitchen cuts down on food costs significantly, Über to/from FLL is about $ 15 or $ 6 to/from Las Olas.

Nice little resort across the street from the ocean, hidden in between the big hotels in a great location of Fort Lauderdale. Clean unit and can’t beat the price for the location. It has a kitchen, living and dinning area and separate bedroom. The staff is very friendly. The resort was built in the late 60s but it has been renovated and well maintained. There are many restaurants and bars to walk to, and free parking in a really busy area. This place is is a home away from home.
